October 20 is Shabani's birthday!
Let's congratulate him!
Well, this video was taken on October 19.
Shabani was feeling very good before breakfast.
He was running around, showing off (DISPLAY), and his daughter Annie was following him.
When Shabani was showing off, he would hit the adult female gorillas, Nene and Ai, but this time he did not hit his daughter Annie, but gently avoided her.
It was just a small gesture that made me strongly feel Shabani's love for his daughter Annie.
Then, after breakfast, Shabani was alert to his surroundings.
Both Ai and Annie were alert to their surroundings.
I have no idea what the gorillas were wary of.
And then there is Kiyomasa, who seems to have almost made up with Shabani.
However, I did not see him ask Shabani to play with him on that day, perhaps because he was concerned about his previous swearing at Shabani.
His sister, Ai, who saw Kiyomasa in such a state, was concerned about him.
His mother, Nene, no longer followed Kiyomasa and was comfortably basking in the sun.
Thanks to the attentiveness of his big sister Ai, Shabani and Kiyomasa played with each other for a short while.
Kiyomasa was playing nicely with his little sister Annie, but I will cover that in the next video.
Anyway, on this day, Shabani was actively leading the herd.
He seems to be back to his usual reliable silverback.

In my opinion only, I think blackbacks who are moving up in rank within a troop will start to become more challenging with the silverback father. Gentaro and Kiyomasa are living proof. With Gentaro, he was over the past two years harassing Genki, but has recently settled down. He's had a few brawls with Momotaro, which I believe is due to becoming a silverback and moving up rank. He is second in rank now, and he is not harassing Genki anymore. It doesn't seem to be as intense as it is between Shabani and Kiyo though. Momotaro loves his sons, but the interaction was never the same as it was/ and is between Shabani and Kiyo. Momotaro is more laid back and mainly just keeps watch over his turf whereas Shabani interacts with his entire family and has taught Kiyo how to play and fight gorilla way. Kiyo is now becoming a silverback quickly and is becoming more challenging towards his dad. Kiyo is second in ranking now as Gentaro is now. I feel bad for Shabani. He is being very calm and collect through this rough time. Kind of like we humans say, Shabani is being the better man.🤣I just hope that something bad doesn't happen before they can come up with a plan for these young bucks who are becoming silverbacks sooner than later. That is just what happens. Although gentaro's rank hasn't changed, he has always been second. A newborn Male is higher in rank than any female. The only difference is that most black backs don't try to challenge their father until they are bigger and stronger.

Whenever the momotaro discipline naughty Gentaro, Genki and kinny will come to help gentaro. But only for those seconds. After that, all of them will be back to their corner and mind their own business. But Shabani troop is different. After the fight against silverback, all of them will team up and continue to bully silverback. Gentaro will scream like a little baby and run as fast as he can when his father starts to be angry but kiyo is different. He sulked, he provoked the situation to become worse with the help of his mom and sis.
@@staypeace5955 yes . Of course the only one that could really keep going after momo is genki. And she knows that she is outnumbered and overpowered. Shabani's biggest problem is nene and kyomasa. But I have to say that kyomasa isn't as aggressive as gentaro, although he will be soon. Gentaro gets right in momo's face and tries to hit him with the tire and everything else. Momo can scold him, and two days later he is doing it again. Not to mention gentaro bit momo in his back twice. I don't think that kyomasa has gone that far yet.

Poor Shabani just doesn't have the same respect (fear) from his troop as most other Silverbacks. He's been the nice guy too long and now he's got another large male trying to unseat him and his troop isn't backing him. He's going to have an even rougher time ahead of him. ☹
It's normal behaviour for kiyo to challenge him. If shabani felt threatened then they would definitely know about it 😅 but yes nene has no respect for any of them at all 😓
Annie is always backing him. The point is Shabani was raised in a big troop with lots of brothers and sisters and they have to use lots of discipline to keep the troop stable instead to fight all the time.

Sometimes the gorillas are so hungry they eat the weeds, straw and/or hay. In 2015, CNN did a segment about the women flocking to visit the sexy Shabani. People around the world are purchasing Shabani's souvenir's online. The Shabani troop deserves a variety & plenty of good produce.
The Japanese women went nuts seeing him & called him the Ike-man. Can't say I blame them.😘

I feel so bad for them. All due respect I know they're in the care of good people but... Imagine not being able to run as far as you can go, and see as far as the eye can see to witness this strange and beautiful world around us
Exactly. I feel the exact same way. It is shameful what the human race has done to the other species we share the planet with. Both to the animals themselves and their habitats. I don’t care how well they are treated in captivity. They are only there because humans can’t control their selfishness and greed.
These Majestic creatures are BORED beyond belief. The environment is unrealistic to everything that they truly are. It's disgraceful & we as humanity should be ashamed of ourselves for doing this to these magnificent creatures!
It's one of the ways we can actually preserve them though. This helps create interest in the animal and can raise funds to help with conservation in the wild. They aren't doing very well in the wild rn.
And I'm not putting down all of humanity. They were doing just fine before Europeans colonialism ruined everything.
Ich sehe mir das sehr gerne an. Ich schaue auch doco Filme wo die Gorilla frei leben, darf man nicht vergleichen. Aber die haben ein ganz anderes Fell. Viel länger und viel mehr. Liegt natürlich auch an den Lebensbedingungen. Und sie sind entspannter.

I see Kiyo's wounds were not taken care of in any way,they would be still very sore and I am surprised they aren't infected.
I heard that gorillas have something in their saliva that helps heal their wounds.🤔
I noticed the wounds on his hand too, wasn't gonna say anything, life happens. I know they are looked after well. He's ok.

Sabani is losing control - his son has lost his temper and he and Anie have already tried sex. Anie, she's a coquette, she tempts father and son and it becomes dangerous. I don't know how you did it, but it's strange that a healthy male hasn't impregnated any of the females for 11 years - now it's time for breeding and the young one is ready. Why should Kira be surprised, since her instinct is stronger than her father's prohibitions.
Ai is on contraception, Nene is now too old.
They give the females birth control meds to stop any pregnancy. Can you imagine how over crowded this pen would be with more children. I heard they do this ...birth control meds at another zoo so I can assume it's done here.
