This is the only thing about being in captivity that’s get’s hard on every troop not just Shabani’s. But Shabani is the BEST silverback, dad, and leader that I know and he’ll do what he has to do in order to keep his troop in place/peace with a very loving heart behind it all..
The mold was truly broken after Shabani was born. He is one of a kind silverback. He has so much patience, love, care and concern, sensitivity and playfulness for his family. He's a big teddy bear. I hate it when this happens to the family. Poor Annie doesn't know what to do. It puts a lot of stress on them all. Kiyo's knuckle wounds are pretty deep. It might take a while to heal. I💘🦍's
If you want to talk about a caring Silverback, I believe D'Jeeco is the model. How he plays with his sone is amazing. He does favor Jabali and his mother, but also is affectionate with Ringo, but apparently it is the first born that is the apple of his eye. I don't know too much about Shabani's family.
@@JB19504, he is like the lady up described him. Shabani raised his daughter Annie that was rejected by her mother, grommed her, defended her and still does. He plays all the time with them and he’s a mother and father to his kids, more than j’ecco ever did!

I just noticed out of all the silverbacks I've seen, Shabani is the most affectionate one who is incredible to his kids. He's the only silverback I've seen who grooms their kids the way he does. (I think it's one of his favorite things to do at times!) That fella has a HUGE heart and loves to give love.

Annie, poor thing. She looks SO conflicted and not sure how to handle things. I feel like she just wants peace within the family. I agree! Kiyo NEEDS to know his place if he's going to be there longer. I also think Shabani is a softie when it comes to disciplining Kiyo. I could be wrong but I think Shabani needs to really show Kiyo some extra 'tough love' with an aggressive approach instead of a passive aggressive one. I don't want to see Kiyo get seriously injured but he is continuously challenging his pops. Ai and Nene, as much as I love them, NEED to back off and stay out of it.
Shabani is a softie... But they are set in their ways, it's instinct. Kiyo already shows reluctance with Shabani when he's scolded by hiding... So he must know somehow he's done something wrong. It may come to a big fight to set him in his place, the girls are going to just follow their instinct and do what they've always done.
Kiyo's behavior has been pretty erratic lately and if Kiyo doesn't understand where he stands in this family, Shabani will have to be intimidating (even physical) for Kiyo to finally understand that. It might take a long time with tough discipline for that dynamic to resolve on who stands where. I hate seeing them fight because Shabani absolutely treasures Kiyo. This is probably the hardest on Shabani than it is on the others. He's such a compassionate, affectionate and loving silverback.

I was reading information in description and didn't see you mentioning that Shabani was injured too! He has injury as he isn't walking correctly on his arm either! He isn't walking on his knuckles on one hand. I seen it yesterday on another channel.

Well, earlier this year, they had a very similar fight but eventually reconciled. It was really sweet to see and relieving. But I had a feeling this would happen again though, esp the older Kiyo gets.

When Kiyomasa attacks Shabani, all of the females back him up. Nene is the most vicious attack dog of them all. Nene literally tries to bite & pull hairs from Shabani's butt. If Nene gets hurt it is her own fault.

She even escaped out of her enclosure once, and just strolled the zoo grounds, sitting on benches, snacking on tree leaves, and studying flying insects 🤣. I miss Eve 💝💝💝.

I don't think it will be Shabani will the one to be hurt if a fight breaks out. Shabani is twice the size of Kyo. The zoo will need to be figuring out a new home for Kyo with some younger females if that is possible. In 4 or 5 years he will be a Silverback himself.
I believe that Shabani has injured Kyomasa's fingers with a bite. That is why Kyomasa is avoiding Shabani and the females are protecting Kyomasa from Shabani.

He seems to be politicking and at one point it looked like if they were in the wild, Kiyomasa, Nene and Ai would just walk away. I think Shabani may have been too lax in letting them go first, take food out of his hands etc. Kiyomasa is strong and maybe a bit sly like Nene. So I am not really sure. He obviously did not learn his lesson though, he hasn't given up his attacking, disrespectful behaviour. He does carry grudges. Gotta love Nene though. She has her son's back come hell or high water. I feel badly for Kiyomasa. Wounds on your hands really hurt and get reopened easily. One might think this would swerve as a reminder to respect his Dad, but nope. I think Shibani needs to go on a Hakao rampage with his women. As hard as it is for we humans to like, I think they might like and respect him more. We love you, kind Shabani. When Kiyomasa attacks Shabani, Nene becomes a vicious attack dog. If Nene gets hurt it is her own fault for protecting a son that screwed & abused her.
Because, Normally the zoo let the gorillas out for breakfast while they clean the room, but on this day the gorillas did not want to go outside, so the keepers could not clean the room.
From what I have been watching, all of the females are so withdrawn fram SHABANI. Something really bad has happened with SHABANI and My. I don't see where My is hiding behind the females. My seems very afraid of his father. I love this family, and hope that they return to their playful selves.

Kiyo needs to be put in a bachelor's group. It stressing them out, and Kiyo is constantly having to look over his shoulder running away from.

Kiyomasa feeling his hormones is trying to challenge dad and take the girls away from dad. The girls are defending Kiyomasa but not for the reasons he thinks. Poor Shabani, I don’t think it’s Shabani‘s fault this time, even though apparently dad bit him probably for good reason.
I have one question and I’m not trying to be mean or anything 🫨🫨 But with Nene why/what I just want to know what is she going to do if Shabani goes after her? I know and understand about always being a mummy and you always put your babies (no matter how old they are) first.. But in my worries she is going to get hurt IF/when Shabani does get pissed 😡 at her. Nene is a older female,, can anyone help me out with this??
When Kiyomasa attacks Shabani, Nene becomes a vicious attack dog. If Nene gets hurt it is her own fault for protecting a son that screwed & abused her.

Because, Normally the zoo let the gorillas out for breakfast while they clean the room, but on this day the gorillas did not want to go outside, so the keepers could not clean the room.

From what I have been watching, all of the females are so withdrawn fram SHABANI. Something really bad has happened with SHABANI and My. I don't see where My is hiding behind the females. My seems very afraid of his father. I love this family, and hope that they return to their playful selves.
A fight breaks out every time Kiyomasa crosses the line with Shabani.
