EDGE in Tech Athena Awards 2024 | Executive Leadership - Elaine Gómez

The EDGE in Tech Athena Award for Executive Leadership recognizes individuals (all genders) who demonstrate exceptional leadership by supporting the professional development and promotion of women in technology within their companies, organizations, or the field at large.
Nominated by Alexus Lopez, this award is being presented to Elaine Gomez, a visionary in the gaming industry who has exemplified outstanding innovation and steadfast commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion, particularly within the LGBTQ and Latinx communities.
Elaine Gomez holds a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Interactive Media and Game Design from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and Informatics from Rutgers University. Her educational journey has laid a strong foundation for her remarkable career in game development and advocacy.
Now in its eighth year, the annual EDGE in Tech Symposium highlights the experiences of experts "Advancing Health Tech for All." #HealthTechforAll Panels span telehealth, IoT, medical imaging, sensors, and AI. The symposium was a great introduction to many of the ways technology is changing healthcare and promoting a greater healthspan for all. It also showcased jobs and roles for technologists in health and career paths the speakers took to get there. This event also features the EDGE in Tech Initiative Athena Awards, recognizing those who have championed the advancement of women and people of color in technology.
