Ripper roo, tawna and pinstripe were based on 'who framed roger rabbit' characters. The cortex vortex device was based on a machine from the 90s super mario movie. Just some info I thought I would add. :)
I really appreciate this information! When I'm done with the series individually, I plan to cover every game in the series in a supercut with some updated information and stuff I may have missed, so I thank you very much for your contribution!
They were part of their inspiration but not the only inspiration.
Pinstripe’s deisgn also took inspiration from Tony Montana from Scarface.
Tawna was also based on Pamela Anderson.
Ripper Roo took cues from Disney movie villains like hyenas from Lion King.

Perfectly well explained mate, it was very interesting. The only platformer that caught my eye before crash was Mario 64.
The Ripper Roovfight took me the longest because it was that fight where you had to understand & figure the concept if the boss fight.
That staircase in the lost city level had me raging once :D

I’ve been meaning to play the sequel in the N Sane trilogy but after watching this I think I want to play the first one again beforehand
The N. Sane trilogy versions of the original offer so much amazing quality of life upgrades. Crash 1 isn't as nearly as difficult in the remakes but still holds true to its origins which is appreciated, I recommend revisiting them back to back where its possible!

Hog Wild is a hidden gem that's overshadowed by its difficulty 😔
Very well done, Frog. I didn't know you were doing retrospectives on your channel. Enjoy these types of videos a lot. I feel as if I'm starting to not like longer videos on RUclips unless i can play them in the background. Which this does perfectly for me. Never really got into the crash series growing up, (only had Nintendo consoles), but i really enjoyed your perspective. Keep up the great work, my friend!
I plan to cover some Nintendo games eventually, I just need to find one that strikes the right chords for me!
