Funny story from a history buff! Most Roman Emperors up until the early 4th century also held the title of Pharaoh due to Egypt being a personal fief of the Emperors. The last Emperor to also hold the title of Pharaoh was Maximinus Daza, who reigned from 310-313. I think it's entirely possible that the Egypt levels and Tiny's boss battle could take place around the same era, and Cortex simply was enthroned as the Caesar and Pharaoh.

I am of the opinion that the death spin tornado should just be a part of the move-set. It just feels like crash.

Great retrospective! With entropy, all you really need to do is that as entropy increases, disorder (or randomness) increases as well. You can think of entropy as how the molecules are moving too. If you release a gas from a vessel into the air, entropy increases because the molecules are now flying everywhere rather than only the vessel it was contained in. Or with the states of chemicals too. Like a solid block of ice has lower entropy than liquid water it turns into because the liquid water has faster moving molecules (the solid has slower moving molecules and has more order). It might be possible for the entropy to decreases locally or microscopically, but entropy will certainly increase globally or macroscopically. With Crash 3, I liked the vehicle levels, it was a nice change of pace but I understand why a lot of people didn't like them.

I do love Warped. a Ten out of Ten for me, though the Xbox firings as of late does make me worry a bit about the Bandicoot's future. 1 slide will kill the monkey. I think your 2 hard on the jet ski levels lol.

I'm extremely saddened by the things that happened at Toys For Bob. Crash 4 legitimately was the perfect Crash game for me and was something I'm glad we got. It's an unsure future for the IP at this point and I'm a little worried about what it hold for not only Crash but Spyro and other IP's they headed
Also thanks for the pointers on the monkeys, and as for the Jet ski levels, I may have been a little too hard, they were just frustrating for me in terms of how to actually make your way through them

Your critique of the "cutscenes" (from 5:48 to 6:06) is odd, because like...that's just the developers adding more life and personality to the game/story? It would feel so sterile if every time a character spoke, it was ONLY to serve some technical purpose. It's a fun little detail that the villains try to intimidate Crash & Coco (and by extension, the player), and it offers a bit of buildup to the encounters.

Truly one of the best neutral retrospective of crash trilogy going in depth about every level rather than escape it because non platform truly what was needed and the talking about power up, the reused environment and how it execution was done slightly better than crash 2 because added new enemies
Only criticism or disagree is about jet ski coco about control sense I think it fine but that just my experience
Sadly you don’t talk much about time relic and how it offer so much replaying
    And the hidden levels
Looking forward for more crash retrospectives and maybe another platform icons such Spyro or rayman or any game genre

I do plan to cover the games more in-depth when I create a "Full series Retrospective". The reason behind the title "A Brief Retrospective" is to keep things short and sweet, otherwise the videos themselves would be HOURS long!
The plan for "A FULL SERIES" will be me covering the nitty gritty of the games. The relics, death routes, gems, all of them! I'm not a fan of simply merging all the videos in one and then saying "Hey, this is the full series." I want to make that full series worth watching, so when that day comes I'll also be covering every game, every port of said game, every spin-off, the origins of Naughty Dog, how Willy the Wombat BECAME Crash Bandicoot, etc. It's going to be an undertaking, but it'll be a good project!

Can't wait til you reach Crash of the Titans and Crash Mind Over Mutant. One of them is an instant classic, the other a pale shadow. You can guess which is which.

instant classic? i mean, the audience they were going for was likely the kids that had no idea the almighty cash banooca existed considering the kids art pack in mom only has titans crash fan art (maybe it was just a corporate decision idk) but even though it sadly was my introduction to crash i can still look back on them without considering they were my introduction

You'll find that these days, most times sub count does not equal production quality. There are some channels out there I follow that are honestly sleeper channels with amazing production quality but unfortunately aren't recognised by the algorithm
