BTW I am talking about the character here, not the actual person IRL. And here lies the issue with Tommy. Techno explains to Tommy what L'Manburg did to both of them, and yet Tommy still goes back to Tubbo and during Doomsday just forgets why Techno is doing this, and what Techno did for him. He seems incapable of accepting anything outside his worldview while he is acting normal for how he acts, and only after the exile did he sort of start to adapt.
I think it's going to end with tommy dying. That's the only way the server can truly be at peace, because the way they are making tommy's character, his story has to end in ruin
Tommy's devotion to L'manburg is a good example of the sunk cost fallacy like Wilbur's reasoning to blowing up L'manburg. He has already put too much time, effort and sacrifices to keep the country to where it was. Tommy treaures Tubbo, his discs, and L'manburg the most(Wilbur too since he always was on his side but hes gone now). He has already lost them multiple times so him siding with Tubbo instead of Techno was because he would loose not only L'manburg but also Tubbo if he continued to be with Techno.
@@justalula7151 An essay lmao Man, another thing is how everyone is saying that Tommy needs to learn his lesson. But he has already learned his lessons a lot of times in the harshest ways imaginable, and maybe that's the wrong way to get him to stop. I only saw this from a Tumbler post [habeascorpseus]. Techno summoned withers to teach Tommy a "lesson" about being a hero. Wilbur blew up L'manburg to teach Tommy a "lesson" about victory. Tubbo exiled Tommy to teach him a "lesson" about being loyal to your country. Dream blew up Logstedshire, destroyed his nether portal, and blew up his armor everyday to teach him a "lesson" about questioning authority. Tommy has learned his "lesson" plenty of times over and at this point, the focus should be on how those lessons negatively affected him. Connor said to Tommy, "Even though you kidnapped me and I'm dealing with some trauma. I think you're a conflicted person and not a bad person, and I hope you find what you're looking for." Instead of teaching Tommy a lesson, Connor showed compassion. Techno did what he could do for Tommy but his worldview brought out the worst in Tommy. @@kuromihaohao But empathy from whom? At this point Tommy's biggest character flaw is in fact his selfishness and his obsession with the disks. Before being exiled Tubbo went out of his way to give Tommy a better outcome by making a deal with Dream, Tubbo tried his best to get Tommy his supposed best friend to listen but he didn't and got exiled for it, Techno from day one had been completely transparent about how he hated governments and only helped them because he thought they agreed with him, but when it all went down they immediately made a new government while looking him dead in his eyes, afterwards however Techno made a vow of pacifism he said he wouldn't mess with them along as they didn't mess with him, L'manburg went and hunted him down to try and execute him whilst also threatening Phil, Tommy comes along demanding Technoblade's help in getting his stupid disks back, Techno could have killed him outright then and there but instead he offered Tommy a mutually benefiting deal, when offering this deal Techno made it clear he wanted vengeance on L'manburg, Tommy accepted anyway, during their time together Techno supplied Tommy with gear and grew close enough to Tommy to think Tommy worthy of his axe, Tommy then on the exact same stream betrayed Techno and when politely asked refused to give Techno back his axe and telling Techno his motives are completely invalid, Tommy again invalidated Techno's emotions during Doomsday, before Doomsday Tommy also told Tubbo that the disks were more important than their friendship, Tommy seemed to regret this when he told Tubbo to give his disk to Dream BUT right after Doomsday his goal shifted immediately back to the pursuit of the disks making his "sacrifice" pointless and even now he still thinks that Techno's emotions don't matter and keeps talking to Tubbo like Tubbo cares about the stupid disks and like he didn't just betray him over them. After all that bs who'd be willing to help him? Canonically every other character hates Tommy for constantly dragging them into unwinnable war over two pieces of vinyl. Sorry for the wall of text but really the way things are going it looks like Tommy's about to re-enact Lord of the Rings with him as Gollum.

"I I I I I am known to do that"
This is the actual vibe of the stream and it’s killing me
If you ignore the words and just hear his tone and the bg music, it could easily be a description of 2020.
this is so cool!!
