He, General Dempsey is a huge class act. I have lived 72 years and rarely have I seen a man who with all the pressures of being a General behave and perform like a true Irishman and human being. Makes me proud.
I have passed Annie Moore's statue in Cobh, Ireland many times. Thank you General Dempsey & Mr Kearns for this beautiful rendition of the immigrant story.
My great grandfather left west Cork, Ireland in the 1910s to work in mining in Butte, Montana. He saved up enough money and moved back and bought a farm, I'll never forget the sacrifice made by my people and always remember the difficult lives they had to endure.
General Dempsey Deserves the Purple Hart for standing up beside the greatest tenor in the world and he gave a great rendition.. I knew Anthony when he went to the Convent in Bunclody in Wexford. where he inspired a generation with his god given talent.. we love him
Oh, so beautiful. What a gift. This was a song I had planned for my brother Peter's Memorial. He loved music and poetry and left Ireland very young to earn a living. Such a beautiful song and singers. God bless. USA
This strikes a chord with me-, I was 17 when I landed heartbroken, from Ireland so I can imagine what it was like for a 15 year old to travel much further, with very little chance of seeing our homeland again. I am fortunate, no matter how hard up I was, I always managed to save enough money to travel home every year?😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Love his voice, just the beginning, he wasn't quite prepared. Beautiful!! My daughter is 15. Love the Irish. Would like to go back to see all of Ireland again.
ah, but it was YOUR voice that hooked me and make me a lifelong fan. God bless and thank you for the hours of listening pleasure you have given my family and I.
Annie Moore was the first Irish person and Indeed she was the first person processed through Ellis Island she came from shandon on the Northside of cork city

That man should be honoured in Ireland
No one can deny the General's Irishness, he wears the map of Ireland on his face...

Martin Dempsey represents the best of the US Army, stood up to people with another agenda.
A very brave man.
This was an amazing occasion proud to be Irish American!
Even Roosevelt said that he had no time for "hyphenated Americans" - I'm with him.
We enjoying the performance
