  • On Veteran's Day, Tenor Anthony Kearns made his debut with the U.S. Air Force Band in the live broadcast of "America's Veterans: A Musical Tribute." Mr. Kearns sang, for the first time, "O' America," a beautiful song resulting from a collaborative effort between Irish songwriter Brendan Graham and American William Joseph. Graham also wrote "You Raise Me Up" with Rolf Loveland , and "Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears," performed by The Irish Tenors during their first PBS Special, "Live from Ellis Island ." During the Veteran's Day program, Kearns also sang a sensational rendition of "Bring Him Home," from the famous musical, Les Miserables. Mr. Kearns is the youngest member of The Irish Tenors -- together they have ten CDs, five PBS television specials, and are among the top three highest-grossing acts for PBS. As a solo artist, Kearns is a respected ambassador for Ireland, frequently lending his voice for many premier military ceremonies and benefits such as the USO, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, ThanksUSA, and others.
The Air Force concert features vignettes about brave military members from each branch of service and guest performances by Mr. Kearns, and Ruben Studdard. (Watch the full PBS Special online at: video.mpt.tv/video/2301844342)... artists rose to fame after winning national singing competitions: Kearns won "Ireland's Search for a Tenor" in 1993 and Studdard (a.k.a "The Velvet Teddy Bear") won "American Idol" ten years later.
Mr. Kearns' appearance was arranged by Kirsten Fedewa & Associates, LLC. For more information, contact: Kirsten Fedewa (on behalf of Tenor Anthony Kearns): inquiry@fedewaconsulting.com or 202.365.6936. www.anthonykearnsmusic.com.

I listen to this song at lest once a week. It makes me feel such pride in our Country, our Military, and America's special alliance with my our heritage, Ireland. It fills me with even more pride and thankfulness for my father's my grandfathers service in WWII, and my son's, my step-sons, my cousin's, and my own Service, from Viet-Nam to Afganistan. God Bless our great Nation, and God Bless the United States Military.
