    • @Daniel_Braun
      @Daniel_Braun  2 месяца назад +16

      Definitely can see that being a valid thought for people who prefer that card. I would put it in the S tier if the points earned could be used with other US bank cards like the Altitude Reserve - but without that it's stuck at 4x for 4% in value, so that's also kind of why I put it in the A tier personally. Great card though when compared to other no annual fee options for this video 👍

    I disagree with your assessment of the US Bank Cash+ card. If you live in an area with high utility rates, like California or Arizona, being able to use this card to get 5% back on home utilities is a great option. Also, if you know you are going to be spending a lot on furniture in a given quarter, you can swap that category in and then switch it back out later. Would be interesting to make a follow-up video if you get lots of other comments from folks with a different take. 👍

    • @Daniel_Braun
      @Daniel_Braun  2 месяца назад +7

      For some people the Cash+ card could be S tier, but for me I just don't see it as being a high spend category that I need to adjust my whole credit card strategy around just to get approved by US Bank for. But for others I completely understand having it ranked higher - either way I still think it's a good card.
      But yeah I definitely take all comments into consideration and honestly it really helps to hear what people are saying so I can think about it differently in future content. So thanks for sharing your thoughts, really helps a lot with the content!

    • @Daniel_Braun
      @Daniel_Braun  Месяц назад

      Compared to other no annual fee cards, Bilt Mastercard is easily S tier. To me the point should only be redeemed for travel - but if redeemed for cash back only then I agree that the ranking would drop
      But for the way the current card is structured and the benefits it has, it’s definitely S tier

    • @pinakmiku4999
      @pinakmiku4999 Месяц назад

      @ Sorry, I completely disagree with your viewpoint! Yes it is no AF but it has NO signup bonus as well when most cards have $200 or more. I churn credit cards and never recommend Bilt. My viewpoint is how much you can save by living your life in a normal way and not trying to stay in Hyatt or fly business class just to redeem those points when you could have saved money not going through those options.
      Moreover, the transfer partners for getting more value for points are seriously limited with United being the only American airline.
      Anyone reading this please do the research before applying for this BILT card. My recommendation is not to apply and waste a pull when you can go for other cards.

    Fidelity is a top card, simple, 2% and you can put in a Roth IRA which also will lower folks tax bill, you had some bias about investing with a credit card company but fidelity is one of the largest discount brokers in the world. Way better than the dozens of banks you elevated. Costco card rebate is every feb and if you have over $200, you can deposit directly into your own financial institution. Lastly don’t sleep on the Sam’s Club Card, probably one of the best out there, not included on your list.

    • @Daniel_Braun
      @Daniel_Braun  2 месяца назад

      Fidelity card is fine as 2% is the standard. Taking those cash back proceeds and directing them to any investment account is something that anyone can do with another other cash back card by just tracking and moving cash accordingly, so other cards earning 3-5% back are technically better (even though doing it automatically with the Fidelity card is a plus). What I mean by keeping credit card strategy and investing separate is that there's more upside value to the points and miles with credit cards vs cash back - therefore I view my credit card rewards as a way to subsidize my travel costs because I love to travel (not everyone does though).
      Good tip about the Costco card! And Sam's Club could be a good one to check out as well if that makes sense for shopping there and gas spend as well. Would probably put Sam's Club card in A/B tier depending on the person.
      It's all subjective as well, so my opinions are only meant to hopefully give some insight - but everyone can decide for themselves what's most valuable as well. Thanks for watching and providing some feedback - much appreciated!

    US bank Cash+ is definitely an S tier. 5% on utilities, tv, internet and streaming is crazy

      @Daniel_Braun  2 месяца назад

      For some people it could be S tier, but for me I just don't see it as being a high spend category that I need to adjust my credit card strategy around just to get approved by US Bank for. But for others I completely understand having it ranked higher - either way I still think it's a good card 👍

      @Moving2Winits s tier for me. I put all my streaming/ internet and utilities on it.

      Yeah s tier for sure! While I understand it may not fit s tier for you, this video should be geared towards whats recommended for the general population and eeeeeverybody is paying utilities or will at some point so definitely should be up higher on this list earning 5% on a big spend like util alone for many.

      It’s good, but when I signed up for the debit card I thought I could link it to my checking account that I have on PayPal. I don’t like that I have to add funds to the card.
