Well by definition someone who is not paid for racing in a competition is an amateur and Misha is earning money because of his driving but not for his achievements in racing…
Still an amateur . A lot slower than Pro drivers ….. you dont understand the différence . Everybody can be fast as micha on the nurb . Just pratice . But everybody cant be a Pro driver …. Huge diff
Misha calling himself an amateur is like the Nürburgring calling itself a 'beginner’s course, If Misha’s an amateur, then by law, the rest of us should only be allowed in go-karts.
Yea I saw a post the other day saying i had a 5N and the handling was rubbish😂nah mate you just can’t drive, looks fun from what I’ve seen of it. Only EV I would ever buy, so far.
Back at the bend next week doing a 25 hour enduro (not continuous) in cheap race cars. This video has dropped at the perfect time getting me even more excited for the race. How good is the long track.
this is such a fun car - whenever I see one parked at Uni I just start smiling very hard and everyone looking at me thinks I'm even more clinically insane :D if only they knew
But he is an amateur. Doesn't matter how many laps of the Ring he has done or the few races, he is still an amateur. Compare a lap of Misha v Estre. That isn't to dispute he knows his way around the Ring and carries good pace, but that last 5 percent of pace is harder then the first 95 percent and that is what makes Kevin Estre and Misha Charoudin different. Chris Harris would laugh if you called Chris Harris a race driver as would I who has also done some racing, I am an amateur and always will be. The difference and commitment is vastly different in the final 5%
Video on 17th July 2023, on Misha's Channel is called: "DREAM CAME TRUE: My First Day as Pro Driver." So I wouldn't call him an amateur, because he actually kinda raced.

What mode/settings etc did you have the cars in when dragging? Did you heat up the tyres (burnout) before dragging? Im assuming that the best mode would be to pre-condition the battery for DRAG put it in RACE mode, leave traction control ON, Stability Control OFF (?), Suspension STIFF..? It’s my assumption that the front motor is never completely disabled as the front axle is still being used for yaw/trajectory adjustments. Even if my assumption is incorrect, the front motor is smaller and puts out half the power of the rear motor so should have 400 hp available with no assistance from the front. Also, If he used the NGB button it will temporarily send max power to both motors for proper exits after those beautiful slides too.
Wow you are in Aus. Are you going to Bathurst? It is the pinnacle of Aus race tracks :) Only problem is it's a public road and unlike your home track the speed limit is 60KM/H :( Still worth driving around it though because watching on video really does not really give a feel for how the track is.
Misha, didn’t you get annoyed by the active lane keeping assistant? Also wondering why you were driving with recuperation on LV2 instead of driving with N- or i-Pedal?
Misha's car's battery temp started at 18C; I wish that I could start track time with that in my I5N. At least with a USA market production I5N and current software, the battery preconditioning software gives up as soon as the battery temperature cools to 30C. Hyundai doesn't seem to provide the driver enough control with such settings.
Yeah he is definitely not a pro lol, I think people don’t understand the classifications. It makes sense to me. Also if you’d see him drive on the same machinery and time it against people like Rene rast or Kevin Estre you’d understand. It’s worlds.

@ALIENWAREGTX I have seen plenty of pro drivers around the Nürburgring, but my comment was only meant as a lighthearted joke. 👍
Damn Hyundai makes such a great cars rn. Yes its electric but the amount of fun you can get from that is awesome!
Love seeing the 5N dance around from behind, see big cars don’t need to have clumsy and boring handling
Yea I saw a post the other day saying i had a 5N and the handling was rubbish😂nah mate you just can’t drive, looks fun from what I’ve seen of it. Only EV I would ever buy, so far.
it’s cuz the battery is low the ground which makes the center of gravity lower hence the “hood” handling. most suv’s suck at corners

The downforce drag + the endurance limitation overcomes the weight difference.
Hyundai has come a long way.
Amazing content as always Misha👌🏻🤟🏻
So cool to see, I was always curious about your aero package at WTA, cool to see a proper comparison even with these dam WTA regulation tires :)
Put the OEM wheels on for the drag strip. Electric torque can handle larger circumference well, especially on pull away.

they need a canister of gasoline and a lighter...
