Same with the Porsche. The GT3 doesn't even make peak power until 8400rpm and it was being shifted at around 8k - redline is 9k. With those DSG gearboxes in the Lambo, you just need to stay off the paddles and let the computer do the work.

For a RWD car to be equally competitive, you need virtually all the weight to transfer to the rear, which no road car does except maybe the Dodge Demon because it will result in terrible handling. You can clearly see in this video all the RWD cars suffering massively in the 60 foot due to having less grip. What is your 60 foot on the street?

I used to work for Hyundai and its great to see they are starting to get the recognition for how good they actually are.
Before you jump on my throat, I feel the need to point out that I am extremely happy Hyundai made the ionic 5 N, with the fake sounds and simulated gear shifts and rev limiter adding a lot of fun for combustion engine enthusiasts. Now, Tesla has gone a long way since the first Model S in 2012. The Model 3 showed in late 2017 massive improvements in thermal management allowing the car to do several laps without overheating. Improvements continued with the Model S Plaid since 2021 and now the new Model 3 performance. Yes, the Model S used to have a bunch of problems in assembly and quality. Same for pretty much every vehicle they made but keep in mind, every time they launch a new vehicle is a learning process. The Model S problems have been fixed. The Model 3 problems have been fixed. It's only a matter of time before the issues surrounding the Cybertruck, which are making big news right now, become a thing of the past. My advice is to update your assessment regarding Tesla vehicles breaking easily.

Excellent video. Very proud of the 5N. On a road red light start, it beats all of them. It is only when you get it to quarter mile where the 1.5M car can surpass it.
or when it needs to go fast on a mountain pass or on a back road; a monkey can drag a full automatic car; it takes real driving to know your car around corners but yeah, who notices you then?, acceleration at the lights is for simpletons who don't actually know how to drive.
Pete with the Loud Shirt once saved my family from a house fire, whilst simultaneously helping an old lady cross the road, and running a free community bbq. What a legend.
It's a little complicated because we had to mix some of the cars due to transport requirements. But each day the Ioniq 5 N would do about 30 launches across the 1/4 mile and then a set of roll race runs. In between shoots we'd also leave the battery conditioning running and kept the a/c on because it was hot sitting in the sit. The lowest it got each day was to around 80%. Most days it would be between 80-90% SoC.
How to promote EVs, Take 23111 this week: Step 1: do a dig race Step 2: dont take cars that launch perfect to make the EV seem faster (911 Turbo, Xdrive M3s, M5s) Step 3: Take expensive cars and compare them with a cheaper EV to make the EV look better even tho price doesnt get you more performance Step 3: Take cars with a lot of horsepower, but RWD so they struggle from a dig against the - obviously - AWD EV Step 4: the AWD cars should be either heavy or notoriously bad at launching (G Class, and the Lambos) Congrats, you successfully promoted EVs.
@JohnLee-db9zt not a whole lot of driver engagement. They did really good with making it as engaging as possible. If I were to own a ev. Would definitely be the n. I ve been saying for some time now Hyundai and Kia really has been stepping up.. only issue with them is reliability and when they start to make reliable cars then it’s game over.

did you use the NGB to get full power?
Didn’t look like it
Would be interesting to know that, 10 seconds of extra boost is nearly the full 1/4 mile.
My Kia EV6GT has full power over 70% in conditioning mode 576 HP 3.3 sec/11.7. I know the N5 is a beast and made to track but I still believe over 70% battery and NGB and you will get the full 641 HP. 3 seconds to 60 MPH or 3.2 to 100km he only got 3.5 and most likely a 11.2 in the 1/4. However, more impressive is how it handles and brakes. Watch the Nuremberg videos already out. Impressive.
We need more of these!!

Carwow is much better, in my opinion. Their videos are just more entertaining to watch.
These guys are brilliant with their reviews, but Carwow is a different kettle of fish altogether, you can’t compare one with the other, both are unique in their own right.

Pity the Lamborghini was short shifted so severely, didn't use 3rd gear just went 2nd to 4th gear
Same with the Porsche. The GT3 doesn't even make peak power until 8400rpm and it was being shifted at around 8k - redline is 9k. With those DSG gearboxes in the Lambo, you just need to stay off the paddles and let the computer do the work.

Also very hamstrung by using the RWD model against an AWD competitor, even though nearly every Huracan made is AWD
@@coreyw427they’re not built for quarter mile. My vf gts does 10.9 on the street and 9.8 on the track and the mrs does the school runs in that
@@lukeneill1568 Never said they were, just saying the AWD model is the one to compare to. Not sure why you’re bringing up GTS, clearly modified if it does a 9.8 on the track. AWD will always do better (all else equal) in non-drag setups.
Wanna see that hyundai vs a tesla model 3 performance. Great video.. never would thought in life that I would witness a Hyundai being in the same video with super cars and beating them! What a time We are living in

wrong Porsche 😁 switch it with 911 turbo s and you've got an overall winner... but that hyundai is jaw-dropping
That’s the exact car I was thinking.911 turbos s would have been awesome to see instead of the gt3

Probably the most hideous SUV on the planet if you exclude the Model X. See them everywhere in London and they really do just look like hackney taxis.
I’d love to see some EV only races. just to see the difference between in the EV segment. A Porsche Tycan, Audi E-Tron GT, the Tesla S plaid and the Hyundai ioniq 5 N would be a hell of a thing to watch.
Especially if it's on the track, at the same time.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5n is the only genuine mass-produced electric vehicle to complete two laps of the Nürburgring.
@@drg8646 Sure, I'd still like to watch them all races though.
If Hyundai were to make a supercar, all existing supercars would disappear. However, Hyundai does not make supercars because of profitability.

I was looking at the background and thinking I know this has to be in WA. just our farmland and trees have such a look to them. then at the end to find out it was in Wyalkatchem was awesome. such a great small town, love the pub have stayed there many times. I used to work for Hyundai and its great to see they are starting to get the recognition for how good they actually are.
Hyundai really are making peak EV at the moment. Can you imagine a Tesla POS trying this, be broken after the first run.
LOL a plaid would rape all of these andI actually HATE Tesla!

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will go down as the pioneer car for performance EVs down the road. What an accomplishment...

Hyundai Genesis magma sports EVs are coming.. Ioniq 5N was a beta test mode
Out of curiousity, how much charge was remaining in the battery after doing all those drag races with the Ioniq 5 N???
It's a little complicated because we had to mix some of the cars due to transport requirements. But each day the Ioniq 5 N would do about 30 launches across the 1/4 mile and then a set of roll race runs.
In between shoots we'd also leave the battery conditioning running and kept the a/c on because it was hot sitting in the sit. The lowest it got each day was to around 80%. Most days it would be between 80-90% SoC.

How to promote EVs, Take 23111 this week:
Step 1: do a dig race
Step 2: dont take cars that launch perfect to make the EV seem faster (911 Turbo, Xdrive M3s, M5s)
Step 3: Take expensive cars and compare them with a cheaper EV to make the EV look better even tho price doesnt get you more performance
Step 3: Take cars with a lot of horsepower, but RWD so they struggle from a dig against the - obviously - AWD EV
Step 4: the AWD cars should be either heavy or notoriously bad at launching (G Class, and the Lambos)
Congrats, you successfully promoted EVs.
Love this!!! Thanks heaps.
drove the ioniq 5 n test vehicle, very fun. i would get bored owning the car after a few months.
Why?
@JohnLee-db9zt not a whole lot of driver engagement. They did really good with making it as engaging as possible. If I were to own a ev. Would definitely be the n. But having to charge for 1 hour to get a range of 260 miles? I'm good. Ofc just around town would be fine. But you can't really do anything other then cosmetics to these cars. The superficial engine sounds are good. But I couldn't do that.
Nah ur bugging it’s called time management and battery management. U would only be spending an hour charging it 1/10 times u drive the car.

Awesome comparison but you shortshifted the STO from 3rd to 4th gear. Didn’t get up to any rpm in 3rd at all. It should have done better times if you use the full rpm range in 3rd gear. You gotta re-do this.
