I was driving 55mph and an oncoming vehicle turns left into my lane, without having enough distance between us. They slammed the brakes and were left open for a T-Bone Collision, right in the middle of my lane. I had no time to slam the brakes, partly because I was driving a 1996 Plymoth Caravan; and the brakes weren't in the best shape. I had to react quickly, I could hear my family screaming and I could also see two people in the other car, frantically waving in front of them, where there was just enough distance for me to squeeze into. Ignoring all the panic and city laws, I gently steered into the small space between the enemy vehicle and two trashcans by their driveway. Thanks to my quick reactions, there was no damage to either car or passengers. We were all on the way to trade in the Minivan to get a new family car...I feel like gaming saved my life.

Doing anything in life, no matter how much positive effects it has, it will have some negative effect as well. I would say keep moderate keep for life.
Thing is, if you want to be pro, and make a living out of it (and it is possible nowadays) you cant have moderation, so main issue is, how to tell a kid, you can't play the game 6, 7 hours (to be pro guys play over 12 hours per day, in Korea probably even more), if his dream is to play games for living.. being programmer and sitting whole day in front of computer is the same thing, being a professional football (soccer) player also takes great dedication and all it takes is one injury for it all to be in vain, so it will be a big challenge for parents to keep saying to their kids to follow their dreams but to stop playing games 6 hours a day... ahha
oneLegend not exactly, maybe the initial cost to start is expensive, but its an investment, so getting a $60 game and playing them for a long time is much more worth it than spending $20+ at the movies for a few hours every weekend, and PlayStation and Xbox online passes are a LOT cheaper than a Netflix subscription nowadays.
If u played mmorpg, ur wallet is in great danger Other game? Not really unless u buy item or gane just for show off. Even in show off case, u actually got some satisfaction in return
The one thing that they hadn't mentioned in the video that I was most curious about is how gaming effects the part of the brain that deals with communication with other human beings, such as how well gamers can read body language, read facial expressions, hold a conversation and read others emotions. I know there is more to connecting with people then what I listed, but I still would have liked to see their findings on that area of the brain and how gamers and non gamers compare to each other socially.
The results of continuing research on how gaming affects the brain in regard to social communication are still preliminary. However, some research has indicated that playing video games, even those that encourage social interaction, may help develop some social skills. According to one study, playing video games, especially ones that encourage social interaction, can help players become more adept at reading and interpreting nonverbal clues like body language and facial expressions. According to a different study, playing video games can help players become more adept at identifying and comprehending the emotions of others. Furthermore, some studies contend that playing video games can enhance a player's capacity for conversation and communication in general. It's crucial to remember, too, that excessive gaming can have a detrimental impact on social life by isolating users and reducing in-person connections. Players must strike a balance between gaming and other pursuits, such as spending time with friends and family. Overall, additional study is required to completely comprehend how gaming affects social communication abilities and how they differ between players and non-players.

I feel like there are two categories of video games: Competitive video games and Play-For-Fun Video Games. Competitive Video Games are like Overwatch or Fortnite but Play-For-Fun Video Games are like Minecraft or The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. I feel like both types of gaming help but that competitive gaming helps more with the fast reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and fast thinking. The Play-For-Fun games would just help with a little bit of the other things but mainly things like remembering and strategic thinking. I mean who does tho

I'd be a lot warmer and a lot happier with a belly full of mead.
TheOldBearTime the imperial walls always made me feel so safe... wonder if helga is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in?
I feel like there are two categories of video games: Competitive video games and Play-For-Fun Video Games. Competitive Video Games are like Overwatch or Fortnite but Play-For-Fun Video Games are like Minecraft or The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. I feel like both types of gaming help but that competitive gaming helps more with the fast reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and fast thinking. The Play-For-Fun games would just help with a little bit of the other things but mainly things like remembering and strategic thinking. Also, with any sport, there are going to be injuries, so I don't think that is a very big issue with gaming because to be honest, I don't see people breaking bones while gaming, but I do see people breaking bones while playing basketball and football.
