I think we all have to admit that it would be a close fight. Altair was molded by hard-ship all throughout his life. He also "invented" new weapons and techniques for the Assassin Order. From more sneak kills to the very first "gun." But keep in mind that centuries later, Ezio himself has all of that equipment and knowledge that Altair had. Altair was trained by Al Mulam since he was a boy. Ezio was trained by many factions, including his uncle, Mario. Even tho Ezio didn't know loss like Altair, he himself had to overcome his own demons. Altair lost everything, except his remaining son. Ezio lost his family except his mother and sister. Altair was driving for honor and to better the Assassins. Ezio was driving by revenge for most of his life. Both assassins have their own strengths and weaknesses. Altair with his wisdom of being a true assassin, and Ezio with his wisdom of fighting. It doesn't come down to who is the cooler assassin. It comes down to everything above. Who would win? No one knows. It would be impossible to tell. What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?

Ezio probably wins because He has a gun early on in his prime. Altair didn't have one until later on. With the same equipment, it could go either way, but Ezio does have experience against more well equipped enemies and slightly better eagle vision, so I personally think Ezio. Give Altair a gun in his prime and it's a toss up.

Just to clear things up...in Assassin's Creed 1, you didn't have a health bar, like in Assassin's Creed 2 and beyond, you had a SYNCRONIZATION bar. As in, if you get hit, you lose sync, because Altaïr in history NEVER got hit ONCE. He was the textbook definition of the perfect Assassin. He invented a hidden blade that would not require the removal of the ring finger. He studied the apple of eden for more than 30 years, and made a gun in freaking 1247 A.D.! So Altaïr is the superior Assassin. However, I do not dislike Ezio. He is a very likeable character and a well-thought out one. Just saying the truth.

+ArticHawkZ Very true. Altair single handedly destroyed about 30 templars at once in AC1. In one of the trailers Ezio was in a similar situation and got captured, maybe because he got distracted by an image of Altair but nevertheless. Gameplay mechanics may make Altair look slow but that's because the game is so old. If we're going by the story, Altair is meant to be the assassin of all assassins.
+ArticHawkZ Ezio just looks cool. Altair is the inventor of every weapon Ezio and the other assassins use. If you look at skill, Ezio is none better, since Altair defeated a lot of templars in once while Ezio can't even go against 5.

In Assassin's creed 1 Altair didn't had health bar but had Synchronization bar, Which means in history ALTAIR wasn't got hit even once. He was that perfect in fight and Assassination.
He killed a section of army of king Richard in last mission.
He defeated Al Mualim ( his mentor ) without APPLE whereas his mentor wielded APPLE against him.
He Killed Abbas men with just throwing knives.
He resisted countless Templar attacks on fort during his time and won every one of them.
and he studied with apple 30 years.
which means he is INDESTRUCTIBLE with Apple.
He was also most Badass in AC1 than any UBISOFT character.

You are right about everything you said but except for the part when you said that altair is better than the others. Ezio is the best assassin because he actually cared when his whole family died and took revenge. He had feelings for everyone. Altair only cared for himself. Altair was cold and arrogant. But ezio was a ladiesman, kind, brave, and strong. Altair is a great assassin but only great at fighting and assassinations. Ezio was great at everything. Fighting, assassinations, and bonding/caring for other people and showing his true emotions.

Dallas legend94 The reason Altair is 'seemingly' untouchable was because in those times combat was lackluster and the Assassins were 1 of the few groups that tried to develop ways by to help evolve combat and develop a more suitable way to fight off the enemies. Thats why Altair kept having the upper hand in fights because soldiers in those times only fought how they believed is right. And as soon as Altair spread the Assassins out into the world new ways of fighting were shared among them as each generation kept increasing as well as for their enemies.

Almost three years later, this still looks quite good. The animation is cartoony but fluid. The sound effects are also in the same class, cartoony but acceptable.
I think this deserves a updated remake. This is pretty epic.

To be fair...everythign that Ezio had was kinda from Altair.
A lot of his techniques, the gun, double blades. Heck! In Brotherhood he has Altair's armor which techincally proves in AC2 "lore wise" he wears it.
Plus, Altair did basically everything alone. Granted! HE was trained to be an assassin when he was just a child.
Both are great in their own ways. I for one liked Altair more though.

Ezio gained all this knowledge in a year with one of the best minds in history making them for him,

I have a feeling the animator of this has been cooking up something amazing for years. Or at the very least the hope. This dudes talent and creativity with modern animation software and technology. It makes me wanna animate something to rival it when I get a PC capable of it.
I hate how people keep calling it sucks because it is not lore friendly. This video was never intended for lore friendly, just demonstrating a fight of both master assassins from the author's imagination now shut off already and watch or leave.

The real life Hashashins were an actual noble faction. The Seljuks gave the Hashashins their own castle and army. They assassinated enemies of Islam. They did indeed hide in plain sight, wearing commoner clothes when murdering someone.
Ninjas =/= Assassins, at least not in the context you were thinking. Ninjas did kill, but the Japanese nobility used them more for spying and intel-gathering.

If I'm not mystaken, those stabs to the thigh and side are femoral artery and lung punctures. Comparing the injuries both recieved, Ezio's seem more lethal
The brothers have equal strength. I try to pass down my knowledge to help other Assassin's like Connor. And just because he is native american does now mean he has better reflexes. I've trained since I was 5, and Ezio has studied under me.
Why is Ezio using the Armor of Altair?
Because that's the only way he could stand a chance against Altair.
I wish there's a game where you can compare the ultimate armors from the three ASII games...
ZenoDLC They're all provide the exact same protection, but starting with ACR, there were multiple armors that also had additional effects. For example, the Master Assassin Armor in ACR provided the best protection but also made you harder to detect, whereas the Ishak Pasha armor provided the same protection only with increased protection against projectiles and an increased chance of scaring soldiers into running away.
In AC4, the Templar armor provides additional defense against melee attacks, and the Mayan armor completely deflects all bullets.
It's not, that armor is the most expensive non shop quest items from AC Brotherhood. Without knowing the exact look it's easy to mistake with that black dye.
I remember when I was a kid watching this, it holds up just as well as it did back then as it does now. I could probably do without the silly bits at the end, when the Persian gives altaïr the scroll and then on. But besides that this remains one of your best pieces.

PianoSteve In the realm of Assassin's Creed, accessing your ancestor's memories is only possible with The Animus. Also, there is nothing to suggest that the assassin in question passes down any skill. The only way that would happen is if that assassin himself trained his decedent. Ezio couldn't possibly unlock all of Altair's memories without the Animus. The only exception being that Altair "saved" some of his memories in First Ciz technology in AC: Revelations. Remember, Ezio wasn't trained by memories of his ancestor.. he was trained by his uncle, Mario.
