Part 2: Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE for the Playstation 3 PS3 video game console. A much smaller game than the previous Gran Turismo series offerings like GT4, GT3 and GT2, the High Definition cockpit view is simply incredible. How does Gran Turismo 5 vs. Forza 2 Motorsports compare? Could this be the best racing race car simulator ever made? I love this game and the Lotus Evora is my fav.Its so fun to drive around suzuka in that car.The cars I wanna see in the full GT 5 are the Enzo Ferrari,Corvette ZR-1,Nissan GT-R Spec V,Mercedes SL 63 Black Series and the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR just to name a few.
I love the tire screech sound from this series!

dude, this is an awesome video!! nice job getting the ferrari f 40 that is one of my favorite cars. they should really put in the lamborghini mercuilago, the ferrari 612 scagletti, the maserati MC 12, and the pagani zonda. i agree that each car feels different. this is definitely a good game for people who like racing, and Freakin LOVE cars. like me.
The car I want to see in GT5 is the DeLorean from Back to the Future with all it's gadgets and being able to travel back in time when hitting 88MPH
haha also CJAEY im getting the PS3 from now to get Prologue and i was thinking in GT5 will u be able to get 100% becasue i read that there r going to be online races every week or day so... will u be able too?

Eh, but if the cars are there or not, that's not what get's me worried for the real release of GT5. What i'm wondering is, have they lost the Gran Turismo greatness? are they just taking everything too seriously? All this realism is great yes, but.. if i'm honest, i would really like it if they kept GT5 like GT4, only with more cars & better graphics.

Hey, does the game run at 60fps? because it almost seems like it runs at 30...
I have the Japanese version. Does the US version have the annoying 5 seconds penalty for bumping other cars, cutting corners, etc.? And I notice I don't have that "quick tune" even though I'm in class-S races already.
I love the Lancia Delta that car claimed alot of lives because fans didn't know it was going as fast as it was in the WRC.

The GT series were intended to be an arcade game, thus there was no damage added after all these years. If I remember correctly, there was rumours saying there was damage on GT5 but afterall, it was still removed or not added.

I really really loved both GT3&4, best games ever made!
Now i'm happy GT has gotten a better handling system, and in-car camera mode. That's all great! but honestly i loved that sort of Su-real tuning mode they had, buying a muffler and Turbo for your car was fun. I loved it. I also liked GT4&3's way of getting Money, the second it get's hard to get Money in Gran Turismo, i'll be disappointed.
Running out of space once again, hopefully somone agrees with me.:)

This is not a game, it is the Digital Car Olympic. Breathtakingly beautiful and realistic. I love playing it with my Playseat and GT steering wheel.
C class is for small cars like Suzuki, BMW 120i...
B class is for turismos like Mazda 6, BMW 330...
A class is for Ferraris, BMW M5, Corvette...
and
S class is for racing games like Ford GT GT tuned, Nismo Skyline...

Do you know why were there only ~50 cars ?
Because all the work, to make the physics for EACH CAR, to make the 3d models for EACH car is a hell of a job. And I think that this was the last part they worked on, besides the menus and the tracks. And, what I think (know) is going to be in gt5, is just more cars and tracks basically.

I think the amazing cockpit view is a reason why the full game is taking forever.

no i can't agree with you for exemple the F430 is in GT5 and Forza2 the manifacturer sell the license to the game maker in order he cans put the name and shape of the car under his condition unless there is some kind of accords which mean getting exclusivity right by paying extra .

Xbox = Forza/PGR
GameCube = GT Cube (JPN Only)
DreamCast = Sega GT
Hell, even GBA had one called GT Advance. What I'm trying to say is all of these driving sims are similar, but they also all have pros and cons. So stop arguing. They're just games anyway :/

that looks pretty awesome. this and forza 3 looks good. its not which platform against which, its whether you have fun on the game. both the games look fun

Yes of course. And I would like to play some Warhawk. But really just Grand Turismo 5 is plenty of a reason for me to get a PS3.
my top five would be 1. bugatti type 57 sc atlantic 2. bugatti type 35 b racecar 3. caterham roadsport 4. ferrari 250 gto 5. lamborghini reventon roadster. if you don't know them look them up. because they are amazing cars that have to be introduced to the game.

I couldn't figure out why the mirrors looked so strange, but then I realized that they don't have the reflection of, say, the side of the car or the rear window.
i'd love the bugatti veyron supersport to be in the game alongside the standard veyron, would be aweseome to have both

Tattoo, you couldn't be more wrong. Kaz himself has officially stated recently, the game will be released with 1000 cars, 170 of which will have full damage (the rest will show paint scratches). There will be 20 "locations" and 70 possible track variations.

I love Mark's review, but he needs to know that this is the PROLOGUE version and not the full version! This is just the appetizer for the real meal to come this November. GT5 will get crash damage, over 900 cars, day night cycle, and even better graphics than prologue (if that's even possible)
What's the limit of players for online with GT5p just interested becuase, Forza 2 only lets you race eight.

the thing is, is that u do upgrade the cars, in a real way, because i looked at the amuse s2000 and with the normal setting it has about 5xx bhp, and the lowest i could get it was about 470 and so its real because that cars engine is pretty build and i was assuming that they were controlling psi on the turbo, oh and u can feel the turbo lag on it, but still, yea it would be nice to have

If you look at the screenshots taken at SEMA, the current Gran Turismo 5 graphics engine have definitely been optimized compared to prologue. so yeah
a while back sony announced that gt5 will consist of 10000 cars however when the game is released it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients. That means in the future we could have any car put into the game for a special price. Of course the damage model will be not present in GT5. whadda you gotta say to that forza
U cant deny that GT5P has some of the best graphics seen to date, if not thee best! Cant wait to see the finished version!.. And Forza fans who complain theres no damage, the whole point is not to crash anyway! U dont see any rewind feature here like u do in Forza 3.. But anyway, damage has been confirmed for the full version

The 5th one out right now, Gran Turismo Prologue is just a demo of Gran Turismo 5, Prologue is just a fancy word for demo. Just like when Gran Turismo 4 came out first wirh Gran Turismo 4 Prologue, the real Gran Turismo 4 came out a year later.

Wait for the full version. I know it may take awhile but it is worth the amount of money you buy gran turismo prologue. The prologue is ok but NOT worth 30 dollars. Maybe 15-20 dollars at least.

when i first played GT3, i was like, holy shit these graphics are insane! then they came out with GT4 and i was like no game's graphics will ever be able to touch this! then when this came out i was like nothing they do can make it better, now that GT5 came out, I honestly don't think they can make it look any more real unless they use real cars.
There isnt lag like this anymore due to the updates. Just a slight bit of lag now.
And I HAVE NOT herd you mention anything about "Drift Trial" (which Forza doesn't have)! It's Fucking amazing, and it's also online ranked...

Cars are in different classes according to the price/performance/or whatever. the expensive super cars (like ferrari) are in higher classes. while a honda civic would be in class D or something
