Welcome to the Letterman RUclips Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

Franco Harris never did pass Jim Brown on the rushing yardage list. He made the error in judgment of going to Dan Rooney and asking for a huge raise, whereupon the Steelers promptly released him. And while the incident didn't cause a permanent rift in his relationship with the team, Harris ended his career with a very forgettable season with the Seattle Seahawks.

Jim Brown is one of the greatest running backs of all time. My personal GOAT pick is Walter Payton but Jim is probably 2nd GOAT. He is most definitely one of the greatest football players ever for sure. He also did an excellent job playing defensive coordinator Montezuma in Any Given Sunday a.k.a. one of the best movies ever about pro football. He was an ambassador to the game, an icon in Cleveland, and a legendary historical figure to the world. There will never be another Jim Brown.
Rest in Peace, Jim. Thank you for the memories. We will miss you. 🏈
