You could run the tubing on the other side of the tail stock (back of the lathe) so that it can't rub on the leadscrew
This would work well with HSS and drilling operations

Brilliant! oiling system! I don't know how you have the time to come up with this stuff! Watching this video is making me jealous, though. I could be wrong, but it looks like you get to work almost exclusively with the metric system there (aside from those pipe measurements.). Here in the U.S. it's mostly Imperial, but machinists, engineers, etc. must work in both the Imperial system (fractions and decimal) and the metric system simultaneously flipping back and forth and converting between the two ad hoc. I'm lucky in that when I was a kid there was a brief period where the U.S. thought it was going to the metric system & so I was trained on both. People born before, or after I was regard metric as wholly foreign & couldn't tell you how many mm in an inch (or a cm!) to save their life. People my age often can convert between the two immediatly without calculators. Metric is of course, better, but I can still convert between the two rapidly, mentally. Imperial gives us stuff like 11/64" & whatever that is in mm (off the top of my head it's about 4mm. I checked my work & it's 4.36mm. Not bad eh? That 4mm estimate I literally made immediately off the top of my head. Rounding down I was spot on! :-) You folks in the UK can probably do something similar, but here, unless its an engineer, most can't.
And yet you've always had "metric" money ( in the sense of multiples of 10), whereas until 1971, we had 12 pennies to the shilling and 20 shillings to the pound. ( Almost as bad as wizarding money in Harry Potter!)

I think you should change the main oil holder to a see through container so you can see when you need to top up !

Steve I cannot see the blue flexible pipe in the lubricator kit, did you buy this separately. Another great idea I have made several of your projects and found everyone or them easy to make and very useful.

Steve, what sized chuck do you have on your lathe and is there any special adaptions made to accommodate it. i have a Seig 7x12.

Don't get me wrong I'm on that site but what I want to know is are they reliable on delivery as I did try that wish and not to happy with it at the moment the stuff I got I could of got off eBay and the post is silly so anyone that wants to go on wish I'd watch your self I got that I paid for is a plasma cutter and I got a arc welder instead and now they are mucking me around to take it bk so what I'm asking will I have the same problems with this site
Well I have found them to be very good so far. Some things take a while to arrive at the moment, but that's like anything else from China at the moment. The motorcycle oiler arrived quickly though. Regards Steve

This is clever and I like it. But you really need to try a better cutting oil. Engine oil is no where near as good as something like Tap Magic.
