(me at start of vid) I guess the days of 14 screws holding a laptop together + a little 1 screw "window" that lets you upgrade ram/hdd are over. This looks like it'll be easy to open and upgrade everything! (me after you open the laptop) wait... everything I want to upgrade.. is on the BACKSIDE of the mobo! *shakes fist in air* DAMN YOU, HP!
Lol... yeah...
Excellent.
Glad you liked it. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos. Thanks!
Your video was super helpful in getting the laptop disassembled and I was able to replace the battery that was problematic. However now it won’t start and I hear clicks every 5 seconds or so. What should I check next?
How long did you wait? Usually I takes a while to boot.
Thank You for the video.. i recently got a hp pavilion x360 convertible 14m-dy1033dx... there seem to be a little gap at the end of the trackpad not the side close to the keyboard.. it also feels bloated abit around there too. i'm just wandering if it just the design or maybe the battery is getting bloated... the other end of the trackpad facing the keyboard is perfect..
I also checked the battery and i observed that the battery capacity increased from 43,162 mWh to 46,119 mWh could this be a problem.
pls i would appreciate you help.. thank you
I'd need to see what it looks like.
@@ItsBinhRepaired Thank You for the prompt response pls is there an email or direct message i can forward the picture / video to you.
Thank You very Much
I hate how RUclips doesn't notify me of replies. Were you able to figure it out?
This is exactly mine except mine's a 15 convertible
Nice!
Bro im only here to make sure your knuckles healed up
Hahaha scarred, but healed
Lol im glad they healed. Thanks for the video grea video used it last week for a customer who had same model laptop
@@willtorres2333 awesome, glad it helped!
Do you think i can put an SSD in the free HDD slot and plug it with a sata cable to the slot near to the battery?
As kind as the casing doesn't have plastic that fills the gap and you have the sata cable for it
@@ItsBinhRepaired mine has the same "rubber" the one on this video has, but i wanna take it off and buy a SATA cable, but im a Lil scared about it not working u.u
@@OneWorld1996 yeah, it might not. Did you check the other side of the plastic cover? Sometimes they put a plastic grid there as well.
Have you done one on the go pavilion x360 m convertible, model dy0013dx? I need a ram upgrade and it doesnt have any visible screws, I'm afraid to pry it open
What's the full model number? You're missing some from the beginning.
I need original battery for this laptop any link ???
Here you go amzn.to/3y346hB
Mine isn’t opening. It is getting stuck near the right end of the space bar and the right alt key
Hm?
Hello! I see in one of your other videos that you took apart a very similar laptop that has a 2.5" HDD bay. My question is, how do you get the SSD/HDD to show up in the Disk Management? I tried to add a 1tb Kingston SSD but for some reason it isn't showing up.
It won't show in the disk manager? Try restarting the computer one time. If it doesn't work, you might have to change bios settings.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I tried going into BIOS but it still isn't recognizing it. Could it be the SATA cable? Does it have to be the EXACT one needed for it? Not sure what size Kingston SSD you had in your video or the cable part number but I think that may help since the contact points seem different for some laptops.
Did the SATA cable come with the laptop?
@@ItsBinhRepaired Unfortunately there was no SATA cable that came with the laptop for the 2.5" SSD, it did have a small foam black foam block in the bay, I believe it was just there as support between the gaps
@@OhitsBinh could be wrong cable or hp disabled the port in software :( maybe it can't be used.
Where is the hard drive?
The SSD is under the motherboard. The hard drive is not there, but there's an empty place for one next to the battery.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thank you for the quick reply...Is there A CMos Battery? That seems to be missing too..lol..my machine is a 14-ba125CL I installed a new battery now I got nothing...No led onthe power cord , no boot up with or withour the battery installed. any ideas?
