Groceries List Looks Different In The Philippines!

- When my family and I make a groceries list in the Netherlands we usually make one or two rounds in the supermarket and buy the items in order such as fruit and vegetables first, then move to meat and fish, followed by bread and cheese etc. however in the Philippines I need to get used to a different way of grocery shopping because, first of all we buy in bulk for the whole family using an SUV and we drive to several different shops and markets in order to get all the food and items for cleaning. In addition we usually stop along the road to get some kakanin or other items for the household so please enjoy this new RUclips video on Pinoy Planet vlog where I will experience various grocery shops and markets to see what different items we can find in the Philippines and to see what the differences in quality and price will be!

Hi Joey, i’m one of your subscribers. I enjoyed watching your vlog. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines. You mentioned that you have a filipino wife but haven’t seen her on your vlog at all. Also your parents and relatives in Netherlands are so nice and good they love eating filipino food as well. You are so good in learning tagalog words.
Yeah, i wonder where his wife is

Its getting pricy now all the common commodities! Inflation is high now!👍🇧🇭🇵🇭
You said Filipinos are friendly in wet market...where bought sibuyas , the saleslady..did not even thank you or smile after you buy.🤔✌️ just pointed out.
But most of them are definitely polite n friendly😊👍
SNR is like Costco in the USA. But really pricy...i went there last month...just for vitamins of Kirkland almost triple the price compared to USA Costco grocery!
The best way to shop groceries is to ask your relatives where to get cheap meat and fruit vegetables
S&R is just like Costco prices is the same as US it’s just In pesos
It’s best to browse and get stuff that is hard to find in the regular town wet market
If you want fresh fruits and vegetables I prefer palenke (province wet market)
It’s not cheap in the big retailers. Unless you want to try other western products like Cheetos etc
Good Luck and be safe Have 🤩
Ampalaya i miss
Long no time no see Sir. Komosta kyo back in my country Philippines. Enjoy your day in our supermarket in Pinas. It's little bit cheap I think. Ano mahal ba ang mga presyo. OK Sir. Watching u from Cairo, Egypt originally from Mati City Davao Oriental grabe miss my home pinasPhilippines. ❤️🇵🇭🇪🇬

Live music in the wet market. Only in the Philippines lol.

Welcome Back to the Philippines sir and I hope to enjoy again to our Country
❤❤❤
S&R is like Costco here in the US. You need to be a membership to buy there. I saw a Kirkland brand that you showed that's a Costco brand. When you buy an items it is by pack!
Kuya Joey..kamukha nio po ung local na celebrity nmin d2.c mr.Christopher Roxas..sa mga may ng mga sari sari store at mga groceries madalas namimili jan sa S&R.masarap dn po ung rotisserie chicken nila jan.
Always best to go shopping at a local supermarket, fruits & vegetables are fresher & last longer. Those prices at the big box store are the same prices here in the states. ♥️your vlog from Portland Oregon❄️❄️❄️
Thank you po! ☺️ yes I agree…I like to go for local items most of the time…and markets are great in the Philippines!
It's better to buy fruits and vegetables and meats from the traditional market it's more choices, and organic and fresh frozen foods are the second option when you live in the city But nothing can beat the organic foods. Frozens and non organic vegetables and fruits are not healthy 😊
Have you been to Lingayen beach? if not then you should go there maybe around 4pm onwards so it's not super hot and you can bring foods if you want they have free cottages and free shower area. I miss pangasinan na talaga HAHA.
It is good you had the experience of going to BIG Phil. malls and supermarkets, which are comparable to other countries.
It was amazing to try all the different types of grocery shopping 😜
if u buy, local items its cheap. But if u find buy a importarted item, its very expensive😁
Hahaha galing nyo po sa tagalog accent sir
Wow your a pilipino ..........
😂😜
You looklike filipino actor CHRISTOPHER ROXAS wife of actress Gladys Reyes
Healthy oil for cooking is coconut or avocado oil. Avoid canola oil. Extra virgin olive oil is good for salads.
Thank you for the tip po! I think avocado oil is a nice choice indeed and I love coconut oil but not for every dish…
Netherlands is very expesive even the rentals of apartments, the calamancy juice is like 3 euro (180 php) or something..The chicken breast fillet 900g around 10 euro....eekk
Yes I know lol 😜 Pinas is still cheap compared to the Netherlands overall but some stores can have pretty high prices (mostly from imported goods), groetjes!
I use coconut oil .
CSI in Dagupan City
That’s wholesale style. I think the 800+ pesos of water is for 1 case. However, even😊 for 1 case, I think that’s exorbitant!
Patupat my favorite kakanin
Wow, nice you recognized it…I’m not yet sure which is my favorite but there are so many choices 😜
Thank you for answer me
Either Olive oil and any brand as long as it is coconut oil. Canola is inflammatory oil (for me) that's out.
Thank you for your comment 😊 I also love olive oil!
Looks like Costco
Leuke vlog.
Bedankt 😜
MY first shopping spree at SR costed me$500.00. Two weeks later it was $250.00 . I don’t know how average Filipino spend that much for weekly groceries. I love their Roasted Chicken, better than Costco in the US.
S&R have not opened here in Bacolod yet, but in my home we spend around $100-$200 if a week (if i base it on dollar) we buy both from grocery stores and the wet market, we prefer buying fruits, veggies and meat in the wet market because the prices are a “bit” lower compared to supermarkets and we are a regular at specific stalls so we get to bargain the prices with the sellers, it also helps to have a senior citizen booklet and ID for the 20% discount in groceries (we only get to use it once a week though 🤷🏻♀️)
😂😂I'm waiting for it to open @@dollyl5596
Are you now in Philippines
How much is the 2push cart equivalent price in the US! 1 push cart i think 😅😅😅
