Thanks, Myk! Another great tutorial. I truly appreciate the fact that you don’t assume the viewer knows anything, and that you walk us through from start to finish. I would love to see one more in depth on razor editing if you ever get a handle on it.
i haven't come across much of a use case in my normal workflow yet, but i do want to learn more about it myself, as i may be missing something that could be quite helpful. thanks for watching, and most definitely thanks for commenting!
Great video as always. So glad Reaper now has track based edit groups. My hope is that Reaper's version of the 'playlist' model will arrive sometime soon in - playlists and track based edit groups are very useful workflow helpers (ask any PT user!). Anyhow, one small pointless note that might or might not be of use to you in the future: I believe the 'g' in contiguous is pronounced as it would be in the word 'game' (perhaps I'm wrong but that is the way I have always heard it said). Nice work sir - the videos are always succinct and helpful!
i'll see what i can do :) Typically this is solved by moving the crossfade to eliminate the doubled content, but i realize a visualization of this would be helpful
Excellent as usual Myk! Happy New Year to you too. Keep your content coming when you feel like it. It is greatly appreciated and highly welcomed at your current pace!
Hey Myk! This is a killer new feature. Quick tip: instead of disabling and reenabling grouping to move an item ungrouped, remember there are new mouse modifiers that will allow you to drag an item ignoring track grouping.
Nice! I got your "Drum Editing in Reaper" course a few weeks ago, and I'm about to start with it for what you said here, this new "Grouping matrix" feature will "help" the method you already use, or is just about the same? Maybe all these updates can justify an "update" to your course 🙂 Thanks and happy 2023!
Thanks for purchasing the course! Really, the only thing this changes with regards to what's in the course is that you no longer have to group the individual media items. It's a little thing, but at the same time, is a substantial time saver in the right context!

Loved the vid. Can you do a follow up on how to set up those mouse modifiers, and what do you do when you have clicks an pops or doubles?

Ahhh, I'll have to recheck the documentation. I just use a keyboard shortcuts to disable groups for a moment, but this may be a better option
