I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know, and I know all the great ones.

It's strange that I'm reading your comment tonight. I accidentally came to this site today. ruclips.net/video/Ufmu3vzLBO4/видео.html I love Pink Floyd and it's true that Gilmour is a talented guitarist but we never talk about his voice and I find that a shame because he has a very beautiful voice. In Wish You Were Here, he blends his voice with his guitar with such ease.

@@AliasMark69 Absolutely and even at 75 he sings just as well.
He just released two albums. One with his daughter who plays the harp and one solo. I read somewhere that he would do something with Waters, it surprised me! Making peace after all this time is the best thing to do.

I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap frogged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION…
I have seen Pink Floyd 4 times. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.

My first introduction to Pink Floyd was in high school when I went to astronomy class. We had a planetarium and the teacher Mr Hicklin was bringing the lights down for our eyes to adjust to the Dark, he'd play Dark Side of the Moon. Most of the class would be falling asleep until those alarm bells before Time. Then he hit the Super Nova button to fill the room with light and wake everyone back up

Checking your watch at 1:45; how ironic. 😁 When I was dating my wife in the late ‘70s I was driving home from her house at 2:00 in the morning listening to Dark Side Of The Moon. I stopped at a red light and dozed off while stopped. Time came on with all its alarm clocks and woke me up. The light was green, so I drove on home. Thanks Pink Floyd.

Key Press Play, you have a great show because A.) you keep truly classic music alive and, B.) "You don't interrupt classic, David Gilmore guitar solos!!!!" - Good For You!. The roots of Pink Floyd date back to 1963 with the early band names being "Meggadeaths", "Abdabs" and "The Tea Set". That is some 60 years ago! Thank you for that. I would challenge you to study the lyrics of each Pink Floyd song (just one album at a time) and, even more challenging, listen to their albums in their entirety regardless of whether you want to do a public reaction. You will find that many Floyd albums are "Concept Albums" as one song builds off of the previous song and all songs on the album are somewhat related. You may want to start with "The Dark Side Of The Moon" and "Wish You Were Here" as they talk about many good and bad things happening in their life journey. Many of Pink Floyd's songs are melancholy and some are downright sad but their stories are really important because they remind us of things that are going on in our own lives which can also be uplifting and be positive messages for us. Have fun with your own Pink Floyd experience . . . Get Pinked!

I really need to let you know that this song, "Time" was followed by the song named "The Great Gig In the Sky" and the most awesome version of this song is the Studio version, right off of the Album. Reason: In the Studio version there is ONE female Singer through the entire song. On the Live from Pulse there will be three different female vocalists and it just doesn't flow smoothly because of that. Please just go to their album "Dark Side Of the Moon" and play that version, I Beg Of You?!

It's right at the end of this song.

The Delicate Sound of Thunder film from 1988 A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour is much better than this over commercialized Pulse concert.
This was the Tour Pink Floyd had Jumped the Shark. As in the past Pink Floyd were NEVER overly commercialized. More like need to know basis and only the True Fans knew when and where they were Touring or Album releases were coming up.
Plus this version is crappy compared to any Momentary Lapse of Reason performance (1987-1989) and the Back-Up singers (Rachel Fury, Durga Mcbroom and Margaret Taylor*) (*Margaret Taylor only toured 1987 and 1988) on that tour were the Best Back-Up singers Pink Floyd have ever had...
