I remember getting my Switch in February 2019 (the console on one day and then the first two games the day after) with Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I confident to say my Switch was likely pre-owned considering SSBU had some characters unlocked with Screenshots to boot.
As for my purchase history (Other than Smash and MK8D):
    • Minecraft, Mario Maker 2, Lego Worlds, and Lego Marvel 2: All bought by my mother for the family. Lego Worlds was a birthday gift.
    • Super Mario Party: Given as a gift by my uncle for Christmas also for the family.
    • Mario Odyssey: Bought by my mother as she was interested in that game. She also purchased the version with the booklet, meaning I have a copy with the unique back art and no ESRB label.
    • Timberman VS: First digital game; I just wanted to use what I had on my card from the Eshop. Deleted after some time.
    • Bug Fables: I purchased it seeing it as "Paper Mario but returned to for" (a statement I now hate calling this game by), rage quit once I got to the third chapter's main boss, beat it 6 months or so later. I now very much document any development trivia from this game to its semi-official wiki.
    • Miitopia: Saw the direct it came from and was hooked. I made some Miis based on Stampy, The Last Story, and Lego Elves, then played the game. The one complaint I have is that I can't reset a save without deleting the miis in it.
    • Lego DC Super-Villains: Purchased this alongside the Sora DLC for Smash Bros, and all I could say is that the Eshop that day laggy as all hell, which shows how anticipated people were at the time. It also started a trend of buying a lower priced thing alongside a full game.
    • Pokémon Legends: "Open world Pokémon with good reviews? I'm sold!" I even downloaded Pokémon home just in case I needed to port my party into the next gen, which in hindsight I'm glad I didn't buy Gen IX, knowing them as crap.
    • Torna The Golden Country: I saw it as "Xenoblade 2 but $20 cheaper", still haven't finished it yet as I have no clue how to grind.
    • Skywalker Saga: Highly anticipated game stuck in a 3 year development hell finally bought August or May 2022. I purchased The Mandalorian DLC in case I needed to do that character dupe glitch, which was re-added in July 2023.
    • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ASBR: The only game in the state of play it was featured that got me hooked. I pre-ordered it the day before launch and had some fun.
    • Yeah Yeah Beebiss II: Bought it to support the publisher interestingly enough. He and his company liked my Smash Bros. pictures when I had Twitter, even following me, and I had felt sympathy for his as he needed funds to escort his girlfriend out of Ukraine. It's a fun time killer if you're bored.
    • Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom: Both my older sister's purchases as she wanted to see how they were. She allows me and my younger sister to play on our own accounts.
    • Theatrhythm: Bought the digital deluxe edition the day before my birthday. I had played the demo and it got me hooked. It also became my most played game this year because it's addicting.
    • Cris Tales: Saw the Indie World direct for spring 2021, saw it as "Chrono Trigger successor", played the demo, then purchased the game two years later. Its flawed but good, especially with numerous patches that garnered the game's initially polarizing reviews. Thought they still haven't added a proper battle transition nor fix the frame-stuttering loading screens which worries me.
    • Tron Identity: Purchased this alongside the Theatrhythm DLC for FFXVI music, and, like Yeah Yeah Beebiss II, is a fun time killer. I was in a Tron phase after watching Tron: Uprising (best Disney animated series btw) and remembered this game in a Nintendo Direct.
    • Abomi Nation: Also purchased alongside Theatrhythm DLC, this time for Bravely Default music, saw that this game was to be ported onto Switch and purchased it on sale. I remember this game collaborating alongside Bug Fables for DLC, and considering how that game has barely officially been in crossovers, I needed to buy it. I have never played a roguelike, so for most of my run I consistently called the story sh*t.
    • Scott Pilgrim: Purchased during the same Black Friday sale as Abomi Nation, I wanted to get this game 1. In anticipation for Takes Off. And 2. To play it before it gets delisted again.
    • Ni No Kuni: I remembered Stampy playing it a long time ago back in 2013-2015, and wanted to see the story in full. It was also purchased alongside Scott Pilgrim.
