If you need someone to tell you to save your money for a rainy day then you seriously need help upstairs!!!
Then you are basically saying over half of the world needs help upstairs. I don't think that's the case.
@@Arthur122293 that is the case... when food is abundant people get fat. When alchohol and tobacco are available people become addicted. People are just horrible with money. Among other things
@@Arthur122293 I agree no one is born being financially literate you either learn the hard way by making mistakes (which is majority of the world population) or you are taught by someone who already made those mistakes doesn't mean your slow or have mental problems some people are just super judgemental for no reason.
@@MRkriegs Uh, addiction exists independent of alcohol, tobacco or any other drug. It's a complex behavioral disorder, one which drugs are often used due to because of the ease and effectiveness of the vice. But make no mistake, without drugs the problem of addiction is just as bad. Whether they end up using food, video games, running, gambling or anything else as their vice.
@@sammagny6548 a lot of people dont learn from mistakes though to be fair.
I’m so glad the industry didn’t break him! He is such an amazing artist. Much love!
“This whole thing is just money all the time.” Cannot believe he thought that and didn’t follow any type of money management.
It's sad but not uncommon...
Don’t underestimate how ignorant young people are. Have you ever talked to someone young who thought everything was as simple cash money. No plan, no back up, no management for how to maneuver once you get money. Just “what’s $100k for a new car, I’ll be fine”
Yeah so hard to believe that a young self made artist who made it big at like 20yrs old didn’t have all the info and experience to navigate that perfectly with no mistakes and making all the right decisions
I dont blame him. Tpain influenced music heavily just as Wayne and Kanye did.
Well, good thing he has the ability to learn from it and earn more money.
"broke"
Wearing my food supply for 5 years on his wrist...
Cause this is obviously after another come up?
Gamble crypto
He’s talking about the past 🤦🏽♀️
It could be fake. We never know. Lots of those people wearing fake to keep up or to save money!
Rented 🤣
Who has he been talking to? Complete lack of accountability.
Facts
T-pain blaming someone else he should of learned from others who went broke in the music industry?
🎯
Yes
No body has to tell you. It's common sense damit.
Hey even the Bible tells you to store up for a rainy day! In life you have to preserve…
Yeah store wealth in heaven as Jesus said. Many today are spiritually bankrupt and
It shows…..
"If I would have known"?! Where you been man? There were plenty of examples to learn from. The problem is people don't want to listen. That's why it keeps happening. People get that money & just give it away to the jeweler, the realtor & most important, the car salesman. It happens the same way all the time.
Exactly. It's really not hard to put some money in to real estate of some dividend paying stocks. There's a while 500 companies to choose from that are massive
If he's saying he never knew then he never knew. Do you know everything?? Don't think so. To think that just because you were exposed to something that everyone else was also is ridiculous.
Y’all saying this but he still up and you on d couch typing
@@sanafunds5311 bit of a dumb comment because we not on the couch doing interviews acting the fool. If you don't want to be judged don't put your business out there
@@sanafunds5311 not according to him😉
Don't be in the feels. All I said was that there were enough examples as to what not to do with the money by the time he came along. If he's "still up", good. I hope he's smarter so that he can stay up.
Comments from my 🛋
He definitely heard of Mc hammer.
Exactly😂😂😂
What happened to him?
@@itsammar92 mc was getting sued for copyright and all that too though so it's a little different
And Mike Tyson
If he didn't hear of hammer he definitely knows about Mike Tyson
So others are responsible for COMMON SENSE ohhh okay🤔
You are so correct! Certain people talk about wealth as if it is some sort of illuminati conspiracy, rather than just careful prudence.
my first thought. Sitting here acting like he's never heard of bankruptcy or in the red or broke. Stop T-Pain, just stop.
No genius he’s saying the way successful people are presented is not realistic.
@@dondada6602 bruh, watch the video again. He's talking about going broke and nobody warning him and acting like all of them were like "it's all money over here" rather than pointing out the numerous examples to the contrary that would've shown him otherwise
If you are doing everything right society tells you everything will be okay, so that's common sense to you...
"The greatest escspe of our time is the escape from personal responsibility"
Dr. Thomas Sowell
FACTS!!!
Thomas Sowell was an enemy to the black community. 👎🏾
This nigga preaching 😿
Wow a Thomas Sowell reference. Things aren't as bad as I thought. Conservatism is a wonderful thing.
A lot of blacks that are manipulated and brainwashed by the democrats and the left in general despise sowell and label him a traitor and "racist". If 10% of brainwashed blacks even cared to listen to him we would be better off.
If he was broke before the money then there is no "if I woulda known" you *shoulda* known foo
Ong tho😂💀💀
He was 19 wen he blew up
Broke people go broke.
That's some real shiit 💯
How can you know what to do w somethin you never had? Especially so much at one time. It’s very common for the youth to be mislead too. all most of them pay attention to when it comes to rappers is their lifestyles, & you grow up wanting that if you’re into that. So if you get the money the first thing you want is the image you were never able to have while you were in poverty. Not only for the purpose of looking important, but very possibly for the purpose of gaining notoriety & respect from people that once dissed you for being in a lower position. Mindset is a powerful thing & people act like everyone should just know everything when that’s not the case.
That's an excuse. He literally went bankrupt 2x.
Right, grown as man blaming other motherfuckers for his poor money managing skills
@Tasha Brown not blaming anyone, just stating that he was delusional. Didn't say people should have told him he just said he wish people did tell him.
@@khaoticpenguin3945 MC Hammer………. Tpain should’ve known he wasn’t living under a rock. Thats what fame and money does ig though
Right exactly
@@Gshkudnkfswhin Exactly! You snatched that from my throat! How🤔 black ppl who claim they came from the hood don't know about saving money after a while? That's not even 101! In my area they call it "Rainy day" money.
That's fd up because you heard the stories of artists being broke and labels wealthy TLC toni Braxton lil Richard dmx James brown Tupac Shakur I mean that's the history of music business
It's their own fault for wasting the millions they had

@Jay I don't know for certain but I heard Tupac was going through it with Suge like Wayne with Baby.
It’s called “Accountability” plenty of examples given in the music industry 🥴
But…common sense would tell you, SAVE SOMETHING! Life always has ebbs and flows regardless.
So he’s blaming his financial irresponsibility on other ppl? Don’t nobody owe this dude no explanation on nothing
Lmao you gone remain broke
Thats not at all what bro said 😭😭😭
That shit went way over yo head.
He’s just stating that looks are deceiving. He was obviously uneducated on money and how it works, like alot of us. He thought that money is endless, which it is, but it requires work and opportunity - work dwindled for T Pain which put him in a financial lack. If you’re eating food, you don’t think in that moment that food will or may run out so you keep eating…and when it gets low or runs out, you will say, “damn, I wish I would have saved or stored some food up since there is no more”. I hope this broke down his communication in the video more comprehensively.
@@Codecowboy420 actually it exactly what he said, he basically said I wish someone had told me this stuff sooner he would have prepaid better.
Watch his stream where he explains how he went broke. Pain said that even though his accountant should’ve told him he had no money left, he said I should’ve still checked it myself.
I think a lot of it is ego, you have to admit to yourself that you’ve fallen off or are in the midst of falling off and your bag is slowly declining. For most rappers, singers, actors, athletes, entertainers in general; that’s a hard pill to swallow let alone admit to others.
I read the caption in auto tune
“if I would’ve known”
I can see how it’s really easy to get in this predicament especially when you have an abundance of something at a certain point in time
‘Exposes’, yeah, right, cause no one had heard of going broke before.
You saw the one's before you, and didn't care about later, keep it real👌
Exactly!
Should have talked to Master P when he extended the olive branch to you.
"Spend (ALL) my money on you on you".
T-Pain lost a lot of money then built it back up. He’s solid.
Ummmmm royalties don't go away if you go broke!!

T-Pain is delusional.. Its basic common Dam sense that life has its ups and downs and to always store something away...Even a Dam squirrel knows to store food away for the winter and hard times....and that's FACTUAL 💯
He started his career at such a young age, 18 -19 I believe so at that time he and most young adults are not thinking in such an expensive way when it comes to finances especially if it's not taught or talked about at home. So I can understand why so many artist experience this.
@@MsBloo yes and no , cuz its about Keeping up with the Jones's also...If you can't buy a Rolls Royce cash then you don't need it...and he bought a Bugatti and kept that a year, then he realized how much the Dam maintenance wiuld cost on that car would be astronomical, he got rid of it Quickly!!!....so we as ppl have low self esteem issues, that's why we buy all this BS to make us feel good for a short while, then we get brought back to earth by the Repo man...and that's FACTUAL 💯
That's really easy to say if you never made that kind of money.
@@arisvalmonte793 how you know what I make?? @@Magnificent-qr4rn so your making millions, cause thats what T-Pain made. Yea you definitely sound like a millionaire 🙄...
I was shocked when TLC did that conference and exposed that they were broke. New Edition got screwed over when they were young and dont get me started on all the Diddy's former label artists.
The internet and tv and culture in general were rife with cautionary tales by the time T-pain started poppin
I’ve always loved T-pains humility. Especially with what he’s accomplished.
"I woulda put sth aside"
Jeez, what kind of mentors you need to know that?
I like T-Pain but he made himself sound like a clown when he said that
It's easy to say that when you're not making the money he was because when u make that much money u forget it's not forever
You know, all of you know. Everybody has heard and seen.
See the problem is ego. He’s clearly lying cuz MC hammer went broke and everyone knew why. These artist have such crazy egos they think it won’t happen to them
I’ve always liked this dude. He is sooooooo communicative and funny
TLC, Hammer, Pebbles, Montel Jordan, Barry Manalow, Vanilla Ice, Tori Spelling, James Brown, Ray Charles, Temptations, New Edition, so many many more.

I'm guessing he thought he would be the exception, and would be making #1 hit records for the rest of his life🙄.
Sounds like this generations experience in a nutshell. I theorize our generation will have the worst midlife crisis in recorded history if we survive what's going on now
How so
@@bigol9223 Look how blind these fools are. They'll do anything the TV or social media says. We need some strong youngins to keep it authentic for those who can't think for themselves.

My grandfather always told me to pay yourself 1st. Since I was about 20 years old I've always paid myself something. It may 20.00 here or 200.00 there, but for every check you should get paid 1st.

Money comes money goes you can always make more money but you can’t replace a family
That's just life, it ebbs & flows.💯
I feel like it's more that he thought it wouldn't happen to him. People have been fading and straight up vanishing from the limelight for as long as "celebrity" was a thing, so there's no way he couldn't have known. Common sense tells you nothing lasts forever, so it's on you to prepare for that.
Problem is people are often warned about this but they bash it away and complain later that they were warned.
Were all thinking the same thing " fame and fortune has a tendency to decline with time"
Only to blame but yourself T-pain, you went through this to help someone else not go thru the same. Full circle ⭕️ thanks for being transparent though!
Experience is the best teacher…..
He's not broke this man got some money he might not be as rich as he used to but he's still financially stable
The NBA literally has classes teaching rookies about all this. The information has been out there for years. It’s up to the artist who they choose to listen to.
When you are a relic of the past, that tends to happen when you never do anything.
Exactly its hard to have it all and loose it all from one ☝🏾 day to another. Over not managing our financials.
Kandi Burress often credits LL Cool J with schooling her on saving up money and how to handle her finances while she was on the come up, so mentorship is important, however at the end of the day you have to take accountability for what you did or didn’t do and then do your best going forward - like MC Hammer did, he spent all his money, went bankrupt, learned from it and has since become a tech investor and is rich again…it’s all a part of life… we make mistakes and we do better next time.
His spirit is always on 10! That's what I like about Pain!
It just hit me. It’s not that artists don’t know about artists going broke, it’s just that they always think it won’t happen to them. They always think they are the exception to the rule. They have heard of all the athletes and artists that have gone bankrupt….MC Hammer? TLC? Anybody remember?
Reminds me of what tupac said in his famous Ed Gordon interview pac said "if someone would of pulled me aside and said look pac, soon as you step out here their gonna be at you, if someone would of explained it to me I wouldn't of made some of these mistakes but I made those mistakes and now it's my it's my turn to stop somebody from making these same mistakes" pac was on some other level.
Guarenteed that many people told him. People who are in their prime of fame only listen to yes men. They don't care about listening to solid advice.
