As a Man their is something beautiful and special about getting to the highest of highs and then hitting rock bottom and picking yourself back up and rising back to the top again. The second score is better then the first. You’re grateful, humble, philanthropic, empathetic and the best part of the journey is the self love and self belief that you have, once you, the Phoenix, rises from the ashes.
seeing the dudes from my generation growing into themselves finally and being sober. Our generation is one that I believe struggles the hardest with dependency.
I love this humble attitude and honesty. It shows strength. At the same time, it's hard for me to understand his reasoning for not keeping a better eye on his money. He may have been led astray by others, but still feels like his responsibility.
This man is literally making Art, doing shows back to back, TV appearances, NightClub appearances, 16 plus studio sessions, and so much more. They almost never have tile to sit down and check anything. This is why they have so many assistants and advisors.
A lot of black people come from this background in entertainment and sports and it shows in their relationship with money. However, why is the education not passed, there is over 100 years of generations of musicians that have gone through this why does it keep happening to this degree.
I actually dont blame him for than mentality. Early 2000s were hyper in entertainment and his songs were diamond he has some hits! If I were in his position in 2010 I would've thought I was on my way to $100m
I hear him… but he literally is talking about fourth houses and Bugatti’s. I think when you have that much money, you have to be financially literate. I understand that being young and surrounded by yes men types it would be extremely tough to not spend money like crazy. I would have. I just don’t buy the “no one ever told me the money runs dry”. Just say “I went nuts and lived it up for a while”.
I think another big part of it too was that social media wasn't as prevalent. You didn't see your peers go broke or get their stuff impounded. On top of that this man jumped into another tax bracket pretty quick for the time.
I gained a lot of respect for T when I seen him on a Dankpods stream. I never really went out of my way to listen to his music or anything like that, but from that stream I learned he is just a chill, down to earth guy like the rest of us.

I love this dude, such a good honest person. The love your fans have for you will be worth more to you when you die then the money you've made/lost.
Mad respect to you homie
The beautiful thing about making money is if you made it once you can make it twice.
Well put
A fool and his money are soon departed.
Such humor and self awareness from T-Pain - thanks for sharing your experiences! Wishing you prosperity in all things moving forward!
seeing the dudes from my generation growing into themselves finally and being sober. Our generation is one that I believe struggles the hardest with dependency.
I love this humble attitude and honesty. It shows strength. At the same time, it's hard for me to understand his reasoning for not keeping a better eye on his money. He may have been led astray by others, but still feels like his responsibility.
He was scared to check it . Like he didnt wanna know either way . Imo of course
Be quiet
@@livingfinance because the people giving them the money doesnt want them to know that information, pretty simple.
Huge props for him publicly telling his story , very rare to hear how things really are .
Very rare because most people who lose money are too ashamed to admit it. How many people on RUclips you hear lost money in real estate? Very few.
Much respect to both these dudes. Honesty is not always easy.
I fucking love Tpain. His music isn't quite my favorite but he's such a good guy
I actually dont blame him for than mentality. Early 2000s were hyper in entertainment and his songs were diamond he has some hits! If I were in his position in 2010 I would've thought I was on my way to $100m
His popularity in the late 00s was crazy
I love how honest and transparent he is
This is awesome. T-Pain is the man for real
T-Pain is one of the most humble dudes out there in the music world. Respect 💯
Steve-O- as a fan, I have to say I’m really proud of you buddy. Your show is awesome and you’re doing such cool things. Love to see it brotha!!
I still love t-pain. I never stopped. He can turn it around. I believe in him.
He already did
@@seemorebutts8053 Well I'm glad I was right 😂😂
Nice guy. Open to his faults and trying to help others not make the same mistakes. Need more people like him.
T-pain was one of the best performers I've seen live in concert...wow he knew how to give a show
"Imma buy you a drink ooooweeeeoooo.. hold on lemme count some change" 🎶
Lmaooo
To be fair even though “nobody” says the money runs dry, I have heard countless people say the money runs dry.
I think the ones that DON'T go broke are actually the exception.
I hear him… but he literally is talking about fourth houses and Bugatti’s. I think when you have that much money, you have to be financially literate. There are people who make $500-$1000 a month and in desperate need of help to the point where they literally have no time to even think about going broke because there trying to literally eat the next day💁♂️
I understand that being young and surrounded by yes men types it would be extremely tough to not spend money like crazy.
@@WiliamShattner now that's moreso the case, but I could see how someone who came up in the earlier generations of rap didn't have that support
I gained a lot of respect for T when I seen him on a Dankpods stream. I never really went out of my way to listen to his music or anything like that, but from that stream I learned he is just a chill, down to earth guy like the rest of us.
If you're not catching T-Pain's stream on Twitch, you're missing out. He's talented across the board.
I need to follow him, but what I have seen of his streams here on youtube, he has mad skills.
Steve-O is an awesome host! It's new to see him not being the one doing all the talking, and listening intently to his guest!
Huge respect gained for this guy after hearing this
I know having millions is a lot of work for the bookkeeping.. but damn I would definitely control my own money.
Naw you need a pro who's gonna be straight with you about stupid purchase once you get into the millions it's easy to mess up and the IRS dose not play around with normi millionaires
@@Tinomedina123 you sound like a bookkeeper. Clearly his people didn’t tell him that
100% I would want to know what’s in my bank account at all times
You need you a bookkeeper that thinks like a bookie.
It shouldn't be hard to understand the difference between buying something like diamond covered rolex's and flashy cars that lose there value or buying things like land or investing in solid stocks that gain value, I can believe that MC hammer didn't know what he was doing but this has happened enough now for folks like t-pain to know better
T-Pain also went broke because he would schedule concerts and cancel them literally at the last second on everyone-He was my very first concert ever and we were driving and almost there and found out he cancelled on everyone
Almost all of them do that
You act like he just woke up and was like “meh I don’t feel like performing today”. There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes that might not even directly involve him. You have to remember, he’s also not getting paid if he doesn’t perform.
@@RawLikeThat yes and no. Performers can get money up front if they negotiate correctly, and have the clout.
@@modifidious7171 Of course but as much as I love T-Pain, I think he’s an awesome dude, he’s never had sustained continuous clout like that so let’s be honest here.
That’s why I never go to rappers concerts just rock those motherfukers high and drunk they still jamming hard lol 😆
Sat next to him at a wrestling show and he was so fucking nice to everyone
T-pain seems like a great guy, never listened to his music or knew anything about him until i saw his livestream and he seemed very down to earth and humble :)
Omg Steve-O's voice always makes me want to clear my throat, and I've been listening to him since the original jackass/wildboyz episodes.
It's crazy that he basically makes himself talk like that. In one of his videos he had it checked and it is just something he does with his throat.
Let me clarify: he doesn't purposely do it, but he could fix it if he tries.
It's from the inhalants he use to take, he's said this before.
@@stevek5600 He also said that it is something he could fix if he wanted to just by working on his vocal chords and voice. It isn't permanent damage. At least according to one of his videos.
T Pain is so awesome, I could listen to these two talk for hours!! Genuine People!!
That's what happens when you are In love with a stripper

Grew up with his music and it's weird I grew up with metal and rock n roll then there's t pain and man he's helped me through tough times in my life
Such a commendable, respectful, likable dude. Nothing but respect.
Still bumpin T-Pain in 2021, music was fire and relevant for my time.
Trash
The reason T-Pain still one the most respected music artist is because of his authenticity and transparency.
I remember hearing an interview on local radio and he sounded so wore out back in the day. He sounds alot better now ironically. I always love T Pain!
Steve I celebrate your sobriety man ...what an amazing journey .. as a fan I am legitimately proud of you
The good thing about musicians is that they can always make a comeback, you just have to dig deep and find the creative spark when u were broke
T voice even when he laughed you can hear it singing.. talented dude
Every month I pay my bills and then my bank app tells me I ain’t got no money too. I feel ya T pizzle
Hahahaha
Bro same 🤣🤣🤣 im like where the hell did it go I just bought some new clothes damn 🤣
Incredibly inspiring informative cautionary & very helpful and motivational I appreciate these two coming down to a regular relatable day to day LEVEL on the hardships of financial literacy
Thanks TP for your honesty you still made history & rock them charts btw never too late in life for that second act though keep make music in some form or another King
“Turns out it was me fuckin with me.” Is SUCH a powerful statement.
It makes me sad to know T-Pain is going through this. I'm such a huge fan of his work!
I think he bounced back!
He did buy a log cabin somewhere Aspen and a mansion somewhere in Wiscansan...I'm just say'n..
I can't believe it she s on me 😂
😂😂😂
I think Steve-o’s headset and teeth are made of the same material, who else has matching color teeth & headphones?
I was going to comment on this too. glad I wasn't the only one to notice. I think its because his teeth are fake so they are very white and the lights are reflecting off his very white teeth and headset.
I was thinking the same thing
I have yellow headphones so yes
They white jus looks yellow if you look at 5min 50 sec u can see from there
This ain't right 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was so funny, I laughed so hard along with these guys, loved it,
I have always loved T-pain. There was a documentary thing on his childhood and upbringing I watched years ago that solidified my love for him. He’s such a genuine person
This is sad! I remember athletes in the late 90’s already talking about going broke or people stealing from them. Glad he’s talking about it though.
Don’t Be That Sad He’s A Millionaire Again … Twitch , Production , TV Shows , etc
@@TheCloudPeeple that’s great to know, thanks.
The excuse he is giving is flimsy. The fact is that he wouldn't listen to any advice. Someone who refuses to even look at his bank account will certainly not hear what older artists in financially difficult situations would want to say because of their hubris (and hidden fear).
Its great that he has gotten his life back together but he was unquestionably irresponsible.
Such a transparent dude, super refreshing and I have more admiration for his work now
Never liked his music but the interviews i've seen with him as a person he is great
Not even 1 song? How old are you
I’m there with you on that not exactly a fan of the music but he seems like an intelligent well spoken guy and I absolutely respect that he makes music that people like good for him for getting his life back in order
@@MochudiSwaagVEVO word , there’s gottah be one song adkaty will like by him. He made bangers
I hate comments like this cause the thing is you really didn’t need to mention about not liking his music. It’s you’re opinion I get that but why not just say that he’s a great person? We don’t need to know how much you like his music
@@RSto1122 he just said he never like his music. He never said his music was trash or anything. He personally just dosnt like it. You know? Never bashed that he’s not a good artist or anything. Just my intake on this lol.
