So giving this young man a bunch of shoes to sell at a young age, and then giving up on him when he wasn't successful, may be a bit cruel. I'm not saying he owes him. I was out the door the day I turned 18, and never went back for help, even once. Not all people are the same though. I want to know, did he check to make sure his son had a solid business plan? I didn't read the book, so I can't say that he didn't, but just dumping a bunch of product with him to sell, and expecting him to put his money back in the business, at a very young age, may not always be wise. He needs to be taught how to handle that money, and the huge responsibility that comes with it. Maybe he tried. IDK, but I didn't get that from the comments so far. I wouldn't listen to 50 for a minute, because of his level of petty online. I did listen to him in a couple of interview, and he definitely dropped some gems, which surprised me. He's a very intelligent man. I honestly hope he gives his son another shot though, and teaches him how to handle that money, once he gets it. That's part of our job as parents as well.
