Was waiting for this, thank you! Seems like Alfa performed very well. As an owner of Crosswagon Q4, in the last two years Q4 has performed great in all conditions on the road. Great stability, distribution of power and cornering. I'm curious to find some animations/cross section of Torsen T3 used in Q4. Any idea where to find them? Cheers!
What exactly would you like to know about Torsen C? If you need the principle of torsen operation then here it is: ruclips.net/video/UlnGG4frZ68/видео.html
Torsen C is a Torque biasing torque split differential. That toque split feature makes that in normal conditions it sends 57% to the rear and 43% to the front wheels still with Torsen locking capability (to shift more torque to the front or rear).
5:25 Did the Alfa really pass this test? Look at the left front tire. It contacts the red frame of the roller and is gaining traction on that. I saw this kind of thing happening on some other videos aswell. Also sometimes in the videos the cars wiggles forwards and backwards and is just lucky to "fall" over the rollers. Is that really a pass?
It is a pass cause tyre cannot contact the frame. It may slide over the frame but ain't touching it, still slipping on rollers: ruclips.net/video/r3sXIfynGls/видео.html When it comes to wiggling - that's what some systems do so we have no influence on that.
Is it possible that the condition of the cars is not the same, so the drivetrain may be a little more worn in the Audi, and all the worn parts in the Alfa have been newly renovated?
There aren't really any wear items on these quattros. Either they work correctly or they fail catastrophically, most likely due to too little oil in the gearbox/diff or different sized tires from front to back. There is no clutch, no LSD or similar.

@@tinker1148 But there's no momentum, car is stopped. Maybe once it was slightly bouncing back and forward but it was already in the roller, that didn't make the difference in result.

El sistema q4 del 156 es simplemente excelente, el mejor de su categoría.

It's not awd system test. It's traction control system test.

It's just me, but there's quite a difference in the way traction control works between the 156 and the 159.
Big difference. 159 didn't use any front/rear brake intervention, only left/right. And it wasn't that aggressive.
Alfa much better, and wheels too))

Alfa the best😊

Pomyślimy :)
156 amazing
What is the conclusion of this test?
Both systems perform almost the same.
I could be wrong but as I remember from Crosswagon and Allroad history bouth models have the same torsen C system
Allroad has torsen B.
quite a big difference how Q4 behaves on 156 and Stelvio
It is a complete different system: 156 Q4 has permanent 4wd. Stelvio has rear wheel drive with a clutch delivering torque to the front wheels.
Zawsze się zastanawiałem jaki opór stawiają te rolki. Czy większy jest na rolkach czy np na lodzie.
