Vistara are really lucky. To get an international license you need to have more than 20 aircrafts and at least t years of service in India, according to DGCA. Vistara got the license without meeting any of the requirement

I doubt that. Last year they conned a whole lot of foreign passengers. They cancelled a flight saying that nothing functions in India on Republic Day and refused to reimburse the passengers. Liars!

I have always had a pleasant experience with vistara, always amazing aircrafts and service. The only time i had a problem was when our flight from Srinagar got cancelled, and it technically wasnt vistara's fault. They gave us another flight the day after.

That’s correct... but he could have used bluetooth headset or i phone airpods which would enable him to charge his i phone at the same time..Think smart when u travel in a smart airline like vistara and that too in a expenive buisness class..

I loved travelling from vistara. I totally enjoyed the trip from vistara. Even for economy class we get free food whether be it veg of non veg.. totally loved and enjoyed it .!!

Having flown many international airlines across classee, it's safe to say that Vistara is probably one of the best in the world. Its the best in India by a long margin, if there was any competition to start with.
Vistara leaves good impression. I like the 3 class config in the A320neo. I miss the screens also, but fortunalety they offer an IFE. I like also the V.I.P. treatment they gave you, Josh. Greets

I find 99 % of Indians very hard working, very humble and take pride in cleanliness, here in the UK where i live i get to interact with a lot of Indians since we have a high population of both UK born and immigrant Indians and many i call friends. They cannot do enough for you and as i said before very humble. I am not surprised in this video you where show a high quality and clean service. Ofc like all cultures there is a dark side and sadly for India as a country they have gain a reputation of being scammers and robbers etc, but as i say the reality is 99 % of people you will meet there in everyday life are nice and friendly. I've traveled in Vistara's Premium Economy and Business.....with their fleet limited to A320 they are offering more than 100% customer satisfaction..... I've also travelled with all major indian carriers but Vistara is almost like Singapore Airlines #no 1
In terms of economy and premium economy products, yes they're on par with international airlines like Singapore and turkish/emirates/Qatar etc... But in terms of business class and first class products, they still have some way to go to catch upto these international airlines,.. But yes, there's no competitor to Vistara among the Indian airline companies.. Among them Vistara is the best... Tata is the best....

When I travelled in buisness class in vistara, I was so amazed by the staff, they are very kind, my daughter always travels in vistara buisness class, it's amazing!
In 2021 October, I had a flight from Delhi to Raipur onboard Vistara....having experienced every Indian carrier expect Spicejet, Vistara was the most comfortable and enjoyable flight i had been on period...!!!
Josh, I know this is off topic, but I’m curious to know if you’ve ever flown on a Trident. Flew one once on a BEA flight from Paris to London. I was only 12 at the time (64 now),. The flight was perfectly fine. One memory stands, however, and that was being in a seat facing aft. Had never done it before. Absolutely loved it!
Impressive! You can certainly see the Singapore influence across the product. Lets breakdown the impressions. Respectfully if you told me an Indian airline could knock out a product like that a couple of years ago I would've laughed in your face. Again not being rude about Indians in anyway but their airlines have consistently been amongst the worst for several years now. This looks to be a serious game changer for Indian aviation and im glad as hopefully this will mean more Indians gets to experience a much better level of travel. The Lounge -
The reason Indian airlines fair low on quality is because they keep their prices extremely low - as a result they take the most uncomfortable slots to fly, their flights are constantly delayed ( because they are amongst the lowest priority foe quick clearance - coz they have selected crappiest slots) , they get the last gates to board which is a pain to walk to etc etc. Indian airlines have a very good track record for engineering as well as their aircraft's. However management of Indian airlines think the mantra of cheap = customers doesn't work.. And this is a prime example. Vistara is expensive and as a result gives all those services budget Indian airlines doesn't... Lastly I know u didn't come from a place of disrespect - but Indian airlines have enough talent, creativity and ability to knock their competition out... Sad thing is most operate in "budget / no frills " category so economics dictate what services to provide. Further more competition in air in India is massive as air travel today is becoming so affordable and as a result this airlines sector in India is one of the fastest growing in the world, if not the fastest!!
Ahh , I wise you saw kingfisher airlines which stopped their operations 8 years back . They were rated by skytrax as the 5th best in the world back in 2008.
On the iPhone you can get an adapter that lets you charge and listen to the phone at the same time. I do agree that using my device to watch in flight entertainment is undesirable. Need a screen a from of me to make the experience better.
Hey you kind of forgot to tell us more about the seat as in whether they have charging ports and more details about the seat and the tray table and stuff like that. Overall this was a good review and I was waiting to get a review on Air Vistara and I'm happy with this review as such.
Birthday cake was a super nice touch of customer service. 15 or so years ago Cathy Pacific did something similar for my wife on a birthday flight; they didn't have a cake but brought out a huge birthday cookie on economy class. Similarly I was able to pre-request a free birthday cake for her on one of their international flights; they came out sang happy birthday and took a poloroid picture. This was economy class as well about 10-12 years ago. To date no one can beat Singapore Airlines for overall quality in my mind.
The air hostess are friendly, the service is very generous for a short flight from Delhi to Mumbai. I think this airline has an excellent chance of acquiring further market share in the Indian domestic market. Especially after kingfisher airlines and jet airways have leat a void. As far as international flights are concerned, vistara would do excellent to start Mumbai to Manchester, uk, direct flights, as there are no direct flights for Indians at the moment to fly to Mumbai from Manchester. We never to get other airlines like ethical or Emirates, which flies to Mumbai via Dubai. But, still best of luck to vitara airlines. Hope they do not make same mistakes like kingfisher and jet airlines have done.
I used to think Jet Airways was a better business class product overall . Of course the Vistara lounge was very interesting in Delhi especially the 2 lounge chairs at the corner overlooking the airplanes

Josh, in my humble opinion, the best way to evaluate and review any airline is to fly economy and see what you get, that is the acid test. Flying business or first does not give you s true worth of the airline.
Vistara has Tata backing it, so the catering has support from both Taj and Starbucks. Besides the Tatas pioneered air travel in India!

Josh, I know this is off topic, but I’m curious to know if you’ve ever flown on a Trident. Flew one once on a BEA flight from Paris to London. I was only 12 at the time (64 now),. The flight was perfectly fine. One memory stands, however, and that was being in a seat facing aft. Had never done it before. Absolutely loved it!
Impressive! You can certainly see the Singapore influence across the product. Lets breakdown the impressions. Respectfully if you told me an Indian airline could knock out a product like that a couple of years ago I would've laughed in your face. Again not being rude about Indians in anyway but their airlines have consistently been amongst the worst for several years now. This looks to be a serious game changer for Indian aviation and im glad as hopefully this will mean more Indians gets to experience a much better level of travel.
The Lounge -
Indian carriers do not serve alcohol in domestic flights however on International flights, they certainly do.

The reason Indian airlines fair low on quality is because they keep their prices extremely low - as a result they take the most uncomfortable slots to fly, their flights are constantly delayed ( because they are amongst the lowest priority foe quick clearance - coz they have selected crappiest slots) , they get the last gates to board which is a pain to walk to etc etc.
Indian airlines have a very good track record for engineering as well as their aircraft's. However management of Indian airlines think the mantra of cheap = customers doesn't work.. And this is a prime example.
Vistara is expensive and as a result gives all those services budget Indian airlines doesn't...
Lastly I know u didn't come from a place of disrespect - but Indian airlines have enough talent, creativity and ability to knock their competition out... Sad thing is most operate in "budget / no frills " category so economics dictate what services to provide. Further more competition in air in India is massive as air travel today is becoming so affordable and as a result this airlines sector in India is one of the fastest growing in the world, if not the fastest!!
Ahh , I wise you saw kingfisher airlines which stopped their operations 8 years back . They were rated by skytrax as the 5th best in the world back in 2008.

Premium economy and business class seat seems almost same .
They usually are, just more spacious with a bit more leg room.
Business class often have fold flat seats to make a bed, but maybe that’s only long haul?

On the iPhone you can get an adapter that lets you charge and listen to the phone at the same time. I do agree that using my device to watch in flight entertainment is undesirable. Need a screen a from of me to make the experience better.

Hey you kind of forgot to tell us more about the seat as in whether they have charging ports and more details about the seat and the tray table and stuff like that. Overall this was a good review and I was waiting to get a review on Air Vistara and I'm happy with this review as such.

Birthday cake was a super nice touch of customer service. 15 or so years ago Cathy Pacific did something similar for my wife on a birthday flight; they didn't have a cake but brought out a huge birthday cookie on economy class. Similarly I was able to pre-request a free birthday cake for her on one of their international flights; they came out sang happy birthday and took a poloroid picture. This was economy class as well about 10-12 years ago.
To date no one can beat Singapore Airlines for overall quality in my mind.

The air hostess are friendly, the service is very generous for a short flight from Delhi to Mumbai. I think this airline has an excellent chance of acquiring further market share in the Indian domestic market. Especially after kingfisher airlines and jet airways have leat a void. As far as international flights are concerned, vistara would do excellent to start Mumbai to Manchester, uk, direct flights, as there are no direct flights for Indians at the moment to fly to Mumbai from Manchester. We never to get other airlines like ethical or Emirates, which flies to Mumbai via Dubai. But, still best of luck to vitara airlines. Hope they do not make same mistakes like kingfisher and jet airlines have done.
I used to think Jet Airways was a better business class product overall . Of course the Vistara lounge was very interesting in Delhi especially the 2 lounge chairs at the corner overlooking the airplanes

Josh, in my humble opinion, the best way to evaluate and review any airline is to fly economy and see what you get, that is the acid test. Flying business or first does not give you s true worth of the airline.
I really miss Jet Airways. Now whenever I come to India , I take Vistara to my hometown. Loving Vistara.
