Also out here in Arizona (Desert Hills) and have the same vehicle but with the 4.0 and same thing out in the trails when going very slow gets too darn near 215 for me and everything is up to specs under the hood...... all other times everything is fine as it's bone stock
I'm impressed how you did the push fan up front..... may have to copy it 🙂👍

Great insights. I have the same Jeep and have struggled with overheating. I like your insight on the thermostat issue. I've been so frustrated with mine and all the mods I've done to alleviate the issue, that I finally installed a 160 degree thermostat. Maybe now I should go back to the 195 factory spec. Also liked the pusher fan AND the mechanical fan concept. Might have to try that as well.

Great video, thanks for the information! I'm in the Valley and own a 1993 Grand Wagoneer with 5.2L. Are you able to replicate the fabrications and help me with mine?

Hi. Thanks for the video planning on doing something similar. One question what did you do with the bracing that went up and down like a W in front of the radiator? Thanks.

I live in Arizona as well and I’m having similar problems with my ZJ. Do you use a stock replacement clutch for the fan or is it upgraded to a heavy duty or severe duty clutch?

98-01 Ranger or Explorer 4l v6. Or you can buy a aftermarket dorman 620-149 which is the 11 blade direct replacement. I literally just pulled 2 out of a junkyard today

Where in Arizona are you? I am in Tucson and I have some cooling issues. The guy before who owned it before me put an electric fan on the engine side.

What coolant do you put in it? I have a 98 with a 5.2 and it overheats just driving up a mountain on a highway with AC on. Did a block leak check and didn't detect anything. Prior owner had the orange coolant in it, it should be the green stuff, right?
