Aadat is like an anthem to the generation of the respective era when it was released. And for me "aadat" is still elite song nothing comes close to it in a love emotion song. All of its versions are better than some of the music industries out there❤not an exaggeration.

It's very rare for a non Bollywood album to have songs hit the charts much less bust the charts. But that is exactly what Atif Aslam did with Doorie. So many bangers on that album that put him on the map. If KK wasn't my Top favorite modern singer than Atif would definitely take that spot. Eros Now guy is Salman Khan btw. 😂
I like KK and Atif both. When I listen to kk I think kk is better, when I listen to Atif I think Atif is better. Its hard to compare because you get into that vibe zone while listening to the song.

so glad you checked out Atif again! There's another Pakistani singer who also does songs for bollywood- Ali Azmat. His song, "Ishq Bhi Kiya Re Maula" is one of my faves. He's got such a strong voice, you should really check him out!
But I think it’s not justice for Atif Aslam to review his music in pieces 😢

In these 100 songs of him more than half are from Indian films, that's why he is soooo famous here..
I think the reason why he doesn't have that many film songs (bollywood) is also because in 2016, Pulwama attacks happened where Pakistani terrorists bombed some places in India. Since then, there was a debate going on to ban Pakistani artists in all art forms in India so the amount of work they got reduced and then they got banned in 2019 fully. So he has been doing singles in Pakistan since then mostly I think.
There are SOOOOO many songs that are missing here. There are alot of his songs you haven't heard !
Theres his single MOONRISE pretty recent and
Search Velo Sound Station Pakistan and he has song there named Kadi Tu Hans and Mangan Aiyaan. Very different sound but great songs!! hes so versatile. One of his classic coke studio songs is JAL PARI which showed up here but so short you dont get to hear the beauty of it!!!

You could literally dedicate a feature Friday for his Coke Studio performances, and it still won't be enough. He's been in almost every season. Same goes his Bollywood playback, singles, and albums.

Oh man this reminded me of the Doorie and Meri Kahani era...those two albums were so good...i still remember all the lyrics to Meri Kahani song...one of my favourite songs growing up....i really miss the albums era of Indian/Pakistani musical artists..they dont release albums anymore, only individual songs

My favourite Atif Aslam song will forever be 'Aadat' - the original Pakistani one from the album Jal. A song I can listen to on loop and never get tired of. The bollywood version just doesn't hit close to the original. Would love you to review Aadat the original if you haven't already.
