lyrics may be surprising, translation can't give real feel unless you know the language. like ''wine cups are filled''. poetry always gives different and relative meaning. wine translated is actually holy water that will be presented in heaven.
Actually, the idea of wine has long been a metaphor in Sufi tradition to represent the capacity for intoxicating devotional faith as can only be inspired by God and a divine sense of conviction. This is an extension of the common reference towards 'being intoxicated' to represent a divine intoxication or mast. Thus to say that the Prophet (SAW) with one look could cause your wine glasses to overflow is to say that with a single look he could overwhelm your heart with intoxicating devotion or renew your spirit and passion for service to the Lord.
Allah ( The God) has promised Prophet Muhammed pbuh a river in Paradise......that he saws will pour and give it with his own hands to the believers of one God when they were on Earth.......Believers ranking will start from the utmost poor people who lived their life on Earth for God and his messenger without going behind earthly benefits......
Hii This song is basically based on one of our holy places Madina, which is our beloved prophet Hazrat Mohammed (SAW)’s final home. All the lyrics are basically asking Allah to write Madina on our fate for atleast once so that we can go there and experience the beauty, the peacefulness, the miraculous feeling, and also so that we can meet our beloved beloved prophet. And about the Wine thing, the translation was kinda confusing cause he said ‘Sharbat’ which means juice not alcohol. So wine was meant as juice or some sort of that stuff but not alcohol. The meaning of that line based on my understanding was ‘the Sharbat glasses will be filled with just a gaze of Allah Subhanahuwatala. Hope that was informative.
Only ones who understand the meaning of the lyrics can acknowledge the value of this masterpiece . I love to hear it when I'm sad or depressed . This masterpiece can cleanse your soul ❤️

@@gopaljigupta5158 The string instrument that they keep referring to is Rabab, not Sitar. Both of them can't be even confused with each other because they are completely different in look and sound!!

Not just the traditional instrument of Afghanistan but of Pakistan as well. We Pakistani Pashtoons do exist too and are probably in a higher number than Afghanistan❤
Thanx to all of you For react on this qawali These lyrics are really near to all muslim people's hearts And MADINAH & MAKKAH are most respectable places on Earth ❤️🇵🇰🕋
@@WaqarAhmed-co9ow actually my Pakistani friends confirm that Makkah and Madinah are written as مکہ and مدینہ and hence H in the end are correct. Natives of a country decide how the cities are to be written in English. So I hope you change your way of writing these holy cities in English, as you write them the same way as Arabic in your native Urdu language.
The backing Vocals on this track are called "Qawwals" this particular song is actually a "Qawwali" which is traditional Sufi singing in south east Asia. Regarding that line about the "wine being released from a glance", this is a poetic metaphor. The singer/poetic is 3xpressing his Love for the prophet as being someone who is intoxicated with the wine of love. The glance from the beloved gaze would act as the most powerful intoxicant for the beloved.
This is one of my most favourite songs. I'm not Muslim, so I had to do some google searches & ask a few Muslim friends to understand the deep meanings. I listen to this on the treadmill on loop (15 minutes at 10 kmph, 1.5 level incline, 3 times every week, for anyone interested). I absolutely love this song. Cheers from India. 🇮🇳
Hello, this video just popped up in my feed and I just had to leave a comment here for you. As you already mentioned, it is a cover and the original is composed by somebody else so I just wanted to give some more informationon that. The musicial aspect of the Qawwali (song) was composed over 40 years ago by the Sabri Brothers, they were the first. The lyrics used by the Sabri Brothers included lines from many different poems and literature in Pakistan/India. There's also 3+ languages here, Urdu, Persian, Arabic. The lyrics used in the Coke Studio version are a shortened down version of that. The music is also different in some areas of the song now, they definitely added some stuff in. Also there's a little difference in the instruments used, in the old days with Qawwali there would be Harmoiums (kinda like a mini organ), dholak (long drum), tabla (two round drums) those are the basics. The Sabri Brothers also used sitar (string), swarmandal (string), bongo drums. In the Coke Stuido version there are some of the traditional instruments with the addition of the piano and guitar etc. 1:52 This instrument is called a Rabab/Rubab :) 5:08 That's called a harmonium, he's right, very nice explanation too 14:40 I don't know much about Coke Studio's productions but most of the time they say "performed live" 17:20 Yes this is the style of old Qawwali, the main singers say the line the the chorus repeats it sometimes multiple times 18:25 When they say wine, they use it as a metaphor for spirituality 19:38 The original I've listed is 20+ minutes, usually in Qawwali there's a chorus so they can perform for longer, in the old days there would be live performances which could last up to 3 hours and the Sabri Brothers would perform song after song with little breaks in between Please please react to the Sabri Brothers version, it is like 40 years old so the video quality is bad and the sound quality isn't the best but you've got to just listen once. I think you'll prefer the Coke Studio version because you watched it first but also because it's more modern I guess but I would really appreciate it if you still listened to the original just once. The Sabri Brothers version is available here with an English translation available in the captions: ruclips.net/video/TOxAPsgaQFs/видео.html

This is so heart wrenching that how a lot of people from our India and Pakistan seek validation from these youtubers. Remember We don't need validation for our music or anything else from other countries in order to appreciate it we must do it anyways ❤
Here wine and wine cups refers to many things in our language.another meaning for it is that your empty souls that are fed up of this world will become filled with love and hope by his mercy..♥️
So everything is one take, they have rehearsals but the live is always one take. There are 4 background singers as well in a couple shots you can see the 4 of them, they’re a very popular group of singers which is why they were shown so much too. There is no lip syncing either, Aatif Aslam back in those days had that amazing voice, he doesn’t stretch it as much anymore but songs like Aadat he really showed how amazing his voice is. If you look up his older live performances he sounds exactly like he did in the video
Tablas were used by Paarl Jam inany of their outings after they worked on "Natural Born Killers" soundtrack with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. If you look up their song "Corduroy" live in some school set up, you will see them using Tablas and Sitar. They are trying to use them as bongo drums but nonetheless the drummer at that time Jack Stevens irons did a great job with them.
Who you people don't read before reacting. It's a live recording. Coke studio is famous for it. The performance are live and not edited. Retake can happen if something goes wrong
Great performance by Atif Aslam and the band. A very serious episode of musicians react but a lot of humor between all the participants. Too funny. Thanks for sharing.
18:40 when they speak of wine they mean the intoxication of spiritual ecstasy... when you look up at your lord your soul is intoxicated with spiritual ecstasy and that's what they mean...
I would love to see your reaction on "Phir Milenge", "Yeh Duniya", "Mehram" or "Go" but with the same crew please :) it is much more exciting when you have a wider audience and everybody gives their opinion and enjoys the music.
This is an Islamic naat/qawali and Coke Studio is shot live. It’s a very famous naat and this is Atif’s cover. It talks about one’s desire and hope to visit Medina, the Prophet’s resting place and the peace that will bring. Backing singers are a staple in Qawali. One of my all time favourites, this time in Atif’s voice, beautiful and always makes me cry as the lyrics are so touching! 🙏🏼❤️
You don't know about the culture we understand but it will be a great thing if you could research about the song and it's background ☺️ knowledge is good to share
if u listen to the Tabla live.. it sounds even better than the sound coming from ur speakers.. and the Tabla msaters do wonders with this instrument...
Atif never learned singing from anybody no teacher, he was bath room singer, he was invited to perform from his college, his friend who heard him singing in his bath room. The guy is born with Talent. Insistent hit from get go. Today one of the biggest singer in Pakistan with a population of 230 million more people than Russia, 5th biggest country in the world.
This was fun guys, i grew up on the original with the Sabri brothers, beautiful meaningful words…this is a beautiful qawwali. The wine part reflects the thirst of the poor, the needy, the devoted who just want to be acknowledged by the one they love. one gaze would be enough to fill…
Great reaction❤ just to clarify all coke studio are live performances that includes backup singers and all the instruments! So no voice or instrument voice overs!!! It’s all pure live talent ❤❤❤
Cokestudio is only unique because it’s all live and surely they had rehearsals but the final production is always live. And that weird guitar like instrument is called Rubab
I can't see it mentioned in the comments, that the coke studio format is live single take performances. So everything you've watched on coke studio is a live performance.
The string instrument is called RUBAB and its a kind of native instrument to Pakistan and Indian regions... Its a very sweet instrument it has 18 to 19 strings very difficult to master there are very few people who masters it in this region...
Khyber pukhtoon khuwa is in Pakistan.... They are American they don't have the vast knowledge about the geography of Pakistan so i vaguely said that... N if you are talking about the Indian comment then on the other of Himalayan range there are indian people who also play rubab but they called it something else ...
I know you guys are enjoying yourself. But i wish you truely knew the lyrics amd the language then you would have cried.Overall a great reaction.Keep up the good work guys.
Atif aslam sings with a straight face always in his live performances... always seems singing effortlessly... once he told in an interview that this was suggest by a legendary female singer named as 'noor jahan' that while performing ur effort must not reflect on ur face, they practiced in that way to look good while performing...
yes it is recorded, not live.. but recorded in a singke take... they prepare very well for the recording day... and give their best shot in that single take... it was produced in this way by a very famous band named 'The Strings'
People who play percussion instruments like a Tabla can get an amazing amount of sound from them just using hands, wrists, palms and fingers. If you've ever been flicked with a finger by even an amateur Tabla player, you'll be amazed and in pain.
the girl in the green is just like me, she didnt speak at all but observe and analyze everthing , kind of introvert , she is trying to show interest in that video dont know if she like it or not , let me say these kind of people are pure hearted and always ready to help others , these ype of people are very rare . all the best of for her future :)
I don't if it has already been answered but the string instrument is Rabab and it heavily features in Pashto music!! Every Coke Studio song has behind the scenes where they talk about and show the whole process and the rehearsals to and the live recordings.
The stringed instrument is called Rubab, its the traditional instrument of Afghanistan and is over 1000 years old.. it is played outside of Afghanistan as well including south Asia..

1:52 This instrument is called a Rabab/Rubab :)
5:08 That's called a harmonium, he's right, very nice explanation too
14:40 I don't know much about Coke Studio's productions but most of the time they say "performed live"
17:20 Yes this is the style of old Qawwali, the main singers say the line the the chorus repeats it sometimes multiple times
18:25 When they say wine, they use it as a metaphor for spirituality
19:38 The original I've listed is 20+ minutes, usually in Qawwali there's a chorus so they can perform for longer, in the old days there would be live performances which could last up to 3 hours and the Sabri Brothers would perform song after song with little breaks in between
Please please react to the Sabri Brothers version, it is like 40 years old so the video quality is bad and the sound quality isn't the best but you've got to just listen once.

@@Xyz-pv2bt She came with her husband, I presume. Her calm nature gave her a lot of grace. Bless her.
Can someone please tell me her name or insta id please 😅
Great performance by Atif Aslam and the band. A very serious episode of musicians react but a lot of humor between all the participants. Too funny. Thanks for sharing.
haha i love this episode, it's definitely an iconic one
That string instrument is called rubaab and it's very mesmerizing.
This song is meant to be soothing to ears because it is expressing emotions for our prophet and holy pilgrimage to Madina.
listened to it alot of times and every time it gives the goosbumps
if u listen to the Tabla live.. it sounds even better than the sound coming from ur speakers.. and the Tabla msaters do wonders with this instrument...
He is one of the best singers of Pakistan to this date period
Filling up with wine is an analogy here, that your one glance is so impactful like filling glasses of wine .
Beautiful reaction ❤️
React to his asma ul husma ...you all will feel life and southing emotional within you❤...i always get tears watching it
atif voice means...no autotune.
finally a real and well detailed reaction you earned a sub
Cokestudio is only unique because it’s all live and surely they had rehearsals but the final production is always live. And that weird guitar like instrument is called Rubab
I can't see it mentioned in the comments, that the coke studio format is live single take performances.
So everything you've watched on coke studio is a live performance.
The string instrument is called RUBAB and its a kind of native instrument to Pakistan and Indian regions... Its a very sweet instrument it has 18 to 19 strings very difficult to master there are very few people who masters it in this region...
wrong its a pashtoon instrument and search it on youtube every pashtoon is master of rabab
Khyber pukhtoon khuwa is in Pakistan.... They are American they don't have the vast knowledge about the geography of Pakistan so i vaguely said that... N if you are talking about the Indian comment then on the other of Himalayan range there are indian people who also play rubab but they called it something else ...
All coke studio songs inculding this cavali is amazing.
I know you guys are enjoying yourself. But i wish you truely knew the lyrics amd the language then you would have cried.Overall a great reaction.Keep up the good work guys.
Not everyone is a crier
@@ninipookie bruh you clearly didn't get what the person was saying
Atif aslam sings with a straight face always in his live performances... always seems singing effortlessly... once he told in an interview that this was suggest by a legendary female singer named as 'noor jahan' that while performing ur effort must not reflect on ur face, they practiced in that way to look good while performing...
Atif Aslam voice & song ❤
if you ask any indians born in 90z, who is atif aslam? they will tell you how this guy shaped us through his music all these years....
It's called "Rabab" a traditional musical instrument 🎸 and mostly famous for Pushto Music 🎶
You guys are chill. Loved it.
His performance in IIFA 2016. IS GREAT
The traditional guitar 🎸 is called Rubaab, which is related to Afghanistan 🇦🇫 culture, Pathans usually use it in every events
It's not only related to Afghanistan, it's much more used in Pakistan
Surprising Fact: The front row space in Atif Aslam's live show in USA costs $2500.
I feel proud I'm Muslim and I'm Pakistani ❤🇵🇰 too much love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
The major credit for "coke studio" Rohail Hayaatt ..the founder of coke studio
Atif is legendary Singer ❤️
You five are fantastic five and very decent people specialy the two ladies .i like your reaction .❤❤❤
yes it is recorded, not live.. but recorded in a singke take... they prepare very well for the recording day... and give their best shot in that single take... it was produced in this way by a very famous band named 'The Strings'
So it’s live then
THEY PLAY LIVEEEEEEEE.
People who play percussion instruments like a Tabla can get an amazing amount of sound from them just using hands, wrists, palms and fingers.
If you've ever been flicked with a finger by even an amateur Tabla player, you'll be amazed and in pain.
He makes it look effortless, he is that good.
The multiple-stringed instrument is called "Rabab" or "Rubab", popular in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This is not a song, this is a Islamic naat,
Proud to be a Muslim ✨😊🤲
If you see Atif performing live on stage you would know this is a piece of cake for him
The back and forth of foreground and background singers is a song style called "Kawwali". Its pretty popular in Pakistan
That stringed instrument in the beginning with lots of pegs is called a Rubab. You guessed the harmonium correctly.
The sitting-box accordion that you guys noticed is actually called a harmonium. Trey was right!
The box shape musical instrument with keyboard on it is harmoniums and the one with strings is Rubaab.
It reminds me of when I traveled from Dubai to mecca & medina by Road
the girl in the green is just like me, she didnt speak at all but observe and analyze everthing , kind of introvert , she is trying to show interest in that video dont know if she like it or not , let me say these kind of people are pure hearted and always ready to help others , these ype of people are very rare . all the best of for her future :)
This is not a song... This is a Naat ❤️🩹🤧 our way of confessing our love for our Prophet Muhammad SAW ❤️🩹
1:55 That cool instrument is called "Rabab" in local language.
One of the best coke studio music video.👏👏👏. Atif Aslam is a rock star ✨ ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨.
Lyrics uff❤😭
I don't if it has already been answered but the string instrument is Rabab and it heavily features in Pashto music!! Every Coke Studio song has behind the scenes where they talk about and show the whole process and the rehearsals to and the live recordings.
The cap guy was right about the harmoniam and by the way the guitar like thing is called Rabab, it’s Pashtoon traditional instrument.
That Instrument at 7:08 is called Rabab which is traditional in Pashto music and part of culture of Pashtoons/Pakhtoons (Pathans).
The 'filling cup' line is that if he looks up, people will be intoxicated in his presence, in an instant
Either intoxicated or will receive good fortune. A lot of things in the Muslim world are like poetry, many metaphors
Godd, the peace on that girl’s face, the one in the green. She’s an introvert and her partner must be the luckiest guy on earth.
The stringed instrument is called Rubab, its the traditional instrument of Afghanistan and is over 1000 years old.. it is played outside of Afghanistan as well including south Asia..
I love the humour.😂 u guys r amazing.
