    Sandro,
    Never apologize for sharing your sentiments outside of the detailing business. It's your channel.
    I understand that sharing an opinion these days online sadly isn't a trivial thing anymore, but in the end, we (here) are just people trying to learn-from and help each other.
    I think there's a bit of irony and symbolism in our quest to perfect and protect our cars and clients' cars. I look back at 2020, and it feels like a decade of physical and mental wear crammed into one.
    Perhaps we want far more than what we're actually doing, but detailing is the embodiment of that. I want others to walk out to their car each day, and smile for a moment, like a gift that you get to open each day. That's really hard to accomplish, but as you know, getting it right can inspire others wherever that car goes.
    Pre-2020 I dreamed of working from home. Then to my surprise, I was directed to work from home for 17 months. I did not enjoy it. Not because of the work, or the home, but because of the constant uncertainty that waited around the corner, the circumstances of so many. I've been extremely fortunate, and knew it all along. Detailing my own cars in the evenings always reminded me that there's only so much we can control, and that the fight to 'take care of our own' shouldn't be a fight at all. You just do it, regardless of what nature throws your way.
    But I'm sure Nova Pro helps. : )
    Had I not found this channel last summer and challenged myself to find therapy/clarity through detailing, the year would have been far, far harder.
    And while I always want your business to explode and reward you, I hope more than anything that you always have the time and ability to enjoy detailing your own cars.
    Keep fighting the good fight, and thank you for the stellar content.

      It's a very sad point where you can see how a globalist agenda and how few people really run things, instead of inspiring for real change just makes people shelter into a hobby. It's like getting about to be executed but being happy because it's a sunny day outside. At any rate, that's what I get from your comment. "I want others to walk out to their car each day and smile for a moment"
      For me, I only wonder: How low does one have to be to make a shiny car something to be smiling for".
      I can list the fact that I'm happy that I'm healthy even though I've been in bed for COVID twice already, I'm happy I have a roof an air conditioner because those days in bed would have been hell otherwise, I'm overall grateful for all of this stuff because I've changed, I can say me today is way off better than me last year and not because I have a "succesful" business or whatever, just becauseI feel it. I feel more defined goals, more determination, more accountabilty, more responsabilty, etc...but a shiny car? Really?

    As much I support the idea of restricted activities to help the medical system, 200+ days of lock down in 2 years is just nut.

    Hello Sandro, long time viewer, first time commenter. First off, I love you videos and as someone who wants to start detailing as a side business, I’ve been learning from you for years.
    Obviously one of the most diverse things about a weekend detailer and a professional is the water quality. I’m looking into getting a deionization setup, but in the mean time, water spots are a reality for almost every wash.
    Long story short, I would ask two things. First you discuss your method of how you have the shop set up if you’re willing, and second how you address water spots. If there’s certain products or techniques that myself and others could benefit from with your wealth of knowledge and experience.
    Thank you for everything you do and I apologize for the long message. I wish you happiness in your life and success in your business. Remember the positive in the world and try not to focus on the temporary negativity.

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 года назад

      That’s really great to hear and wishing you all the best in your new detailing venture!
      We are pretty fortunate in Melbourne and Victoria to have quite soft and low mineral content water, and add to that an indoor wash bay, and water spots during the wash stage isn’t a huge problem. I do still want a DI system at work and at hone and if I eventually get it, I’ll try and do a video on it.
      Generally with treating water spots, I’ll start with acid based water spot removers and then move onto something like Carpro Essence Plus is they are on a coating and I don’t want to remove it, but if they are more stubborn and have moved onto water etchings, then on most cases they will need an abrasive compound in order to remove them.
      I’ll also try and do a more dedicated water spot/etching video in the future!
      Hope that helps mare!

    Sandro, my car is also the dirtiest it's been in its whole life.. literally. I don't know when the last time I washed it was, but I'm sure it's well over 3 months ago now. It is FULL of bird droppings all over tree sap, and a whoooole lotta sand from the rains (we get a load of sahara dust transported through the atmosphere, it's amazing for the plants though! This has been one of the best summers I've had in years in terms of how profusely everything is flowering, it's absolutely amazing and just beautiful!). I really needa get around to giving my car a VERY thorough cleaning and decon and polishing it again to reapply the coating. I've neglected it for too long due to other things in my life making it impossible for me to work on my car. Yours has held up incredibly! Edit: 7:16 Yep, this can't be stressed enough. A coating will last as long as you make it last. If you're diligent with your maintenance, they can last pretty much forever. If you wash your car religiously every single week, your coating will literally perform like day 1 for multiple years, even if your car lives outside. If it's a garage queen, this effect is compounded and it could last pretty much indefinitely. NOTHING replaces good, periodic (consistent!) maintenance. That goes for any super mega performing coating as well as just a good performing wax/sealant.

    Sandro, as being born and raised in Melbourne, what I've seen over the past 2 years is really well for the lack of a better term just absolutely crazy. Never a time in my life I thought we would be living in such conditions. The amount of business that have been killed and the amount on the edge of breaking, Makes me worried for the future of this state. It seems to me the cons of these measures our state government have continued to persue are far out weighing the pros since early 2020. I'm so close to starting my own detailing business to bring some extra money in so I can save for the first purchase of a house for my family but as of late that kind of plan is being pushed further and further away. I hope more and more people come to their senses and realise what's happening is doing more harm then good. Thanks for all your videos Sandro, soon I hope we will be back to the original normal not a new normal.

      It’s unfortunately not a great time to start a detailing business, be a detailer or really be in any business that the government here deems unessential. I understand that for many who don’t work in these industries, haven’t lost income or really haven’t been all that seriously effected financially, personally and mentally it may not seem all that bad. But there’s another sector of people who are really hurting, loosing everything and in a bad state that is sometimes hard to truly understand when it’s not you. I don’t think there’s any easy answers, but I also think we can’t be single minded and we have to factor in what the whole sum of damage is going be.

    Good info on the coatings but one way they can easily ruins car paint is if the car is left near a sprinkler and then sunlight hits it after. Unless you attentend to those waterspots quickly that paint is going to be messed up. Better it sheets off(no coating) than beads up in cases like that

    Interested to hear how your next wash goes after the Essence Plus / Jet combo. I'm just so sceptical that it as a product can clean so well without removing or at least impacting the coating!

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 года назад

      Everything you use will impact the coating, it’s more about what’s going to be the least evasive whist still reaching the cleaning or decontamination objective. Nothing will replace a great and constant maintenance routine.

    Sandro, your cinematography, editing and detailing knowledge/skills are exceptional! No need to apologize either; life as we once knew it has changed drastically across the world and its important to recognize this so we can continue to grow. Bring these things up whenever you feel like it in any of your videos.
    Can NV Nova Pro be layered? If so, is it a 2 or 3 hour re-coat time? It would be cool to see how Nova Pro would stack up against Nova EVO and CQUK 3.0 in a head to head to head challenge.
    Your car looks absolutely stunning and that coating has stood up great over the last 3 years. Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into these videos! Prayer's and God Bless.

      Thanks mate, it’s really nice to hear! Yes you can layer Nova Pro and depending on the weather it can be as little as an hour in hotter climates and up to 3 hrs in cold climates, it just depends and is usually somewhere in between in more average weather conditions.

    I LOVE Brera's. One of the truly beautiful cars. It is interesting that you are having such great results on this vehicle. Do you put it down to the product only....given you would be maintaining it the same regardless of what you installed. Or perhaps the "insane" preparation that went into it prior to the application.
    I have just taken over a detailing and carwash business in Newcastle. We are in lockdown and are not working atm. But I would love once we are "free range" again to pop in and say hi the next time I am in Melbourne.

    I love you friend... I have been watching from across the pacific as Australia has become an unrecognizable nation all thanks to a certain country not far from you who your own parliament has allowed in to government sessions to "advise" the Australian authorities how to best handle the pandemic, because afterall... they were the first country who dealt with it.
    Thank God you are with family... I would lose my mind if I was kept from my 78 yr old father or my sister.... we are all we have and if I didn't have them I don't know how I'd handle life. Always remember... family is a treasure but just like any fine jewels, it gets a little dim when you wear it all the time. sometimes it needs a loving touch to shine it back up... love and honor one another and be patient, remember you are all in this together. Love begets peace... that's what Jesus taught me and it works!
    I will keep you in my prayers friend, I truly do love you and your fellow countrymen. ❤

    I like meticulous, quality and professional work, even maniacal. And yours is simply part of it !!! 👍 👍 👍. The shiny black rims are the most fragile finishes, do you manage to clean them with a brush, microfiber brush etc, without creating any visible defect under light ?. On my RS mk2 I have the brilliant black RS500 rims, new I put a ceramic coating CQuartz lite x2, gliss v2 x1 and meguiar's M799. They haven't driven much yet, but I'm afraid to clean them by contact and create faults. For the moment I'm happy with Meguiar's iron decon D1801 and rinsing (contactless) which does an excellent job without damaging the coating !. What would be your advice please?. I think that the brushes like Meguiar's X1160 wheel spoke brush are to be banned on this kind of fragile finish ?. I have the brand new Meguiar's microfiber brushes X1901 and X1902 and microfiber glove that I reserve specially for the rims. In your opinion, is it a good idea = a first contactless rim wash, then a second wash with ONR spraying on the rim to add lubrication + a rim cleaner, brush and microfiber gloves with a good shampoo for always more lubrication, rinsing, drying aid meguiar's D156 x-press spray wax.? Thanks in advance my friend. I'm pretty manic and having flaws visible in the sun bothers me! 😁

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately it’s just not possible to entirely avoid visible swirls on gloss black rims, so no they definitely have their share of swirls since I polished and coated those rims almost 4yrs ago.
      Touchless rim cleaning is great but I also rotate to physical cleans because there’s certain grime that a touchless clean just won’t remove every time and it can build up to a stage over months and years that then makes it extremely difficult to remove. Like most things in detailing there needs to be a balance of safety vs effectiveness. I think using some great new and clean wheel brushes and even ONR to create some added lubrication can certainly help keeps those swirls to a minimum, but 100% avoidance is unfortunately unlikely.
      Thanks mate!

      It’s crazy to think that 3yrs have passed since I made that original video!
      I’d firstly try a chemical to remove those spots as it is less invasive on the coating, maybe even a light 1:10 dilution of APC, and if you by chance have a steamer it could also be worth a go depending on what those spots are.
      Always appreciate the support and wise words mate, thanks you!

    Hi Shandro. I've recently applied NV nova Evo coating to my VW Amarok based on your fantastic content. What a fantastic product. I have a question regarding a sealant topper. In the past I have used Bowden's happy ending as a topper over other paint sealants and wondering whether you would recommend continuing to use this over top of NV Nova Evo. I enjoy using happy ending as the Amarok is a big car and happy ending allows coverage of large surface areas of the car with more frequency due to the ease of application.
    Thanks in advance for your help

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 года назад

      That’s great to hear mate!
      Try not to use any top sealants for the first month as Evo completely cures. Also, in colder weather you may want to wait a week and a half to two week before the first wash, and try to use a pure car soap without any additives like Nv Snow or Carpro Reset, on a retail level Meguiars Soft Wash or Bowden’s Auto body gel may be okay.
      Nova Boost or a light non-evasive Quick Detailer is best to use during that period - but even after that period - after maintenance washes. After that you can use more durable top sealants moving forward. I haven’t specifically tried Happy Ending with Evo, but I’d say you can try it and if you like how it performs on top it should be fine. If you find it doesn’t perform as good with Evo, you can always try another top sealant.

    Sandro, my 2 years on my UK 3.0 coating. I am considering just putting a coating of Gliss on it. But if I want to recoat it with UK 3.0, where should I start? Re-polish or just shine it up with essence or essence plus, then coat it? Have you made a video to cover this type of thing?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  3 года назад +1

      I’d start with a good strip down wash and decon process and then if the older coating is already on the way out and the paint isn’t too bad, you could just use Essence to prepare and correct the paint, give it a few hours to set and then re-coat.
