Dark Souls has always had PvP. Invasions are more common than coop even. In addition to invasions it also has PvP arenas in every entry, Dark Souls 2 even had 2 arenas with 3 maps each. Even Demon's Souls had PvP and so do Bloodborne and Elden Ring.
See that's a great example right there. I have little to no knowledge about Dark Souls. I assume that it's just a singleplayer game. Everyone in these comments showed the same level of ignorance.
@@RealCynicalGamer In my more than 1250 hours of Dark Souls III I have probably spent more time with PvP than PvE and most Dark Souls RUclipsrs are solely PvP focused. Only 2 of my 10 characters are not designed specifically for PvP. One is my main character for playing through that I also use for PvP and the other is for a Level 1 challenge run. The most ironic part of that Dark Souls comment is that there is a 3v3 mode in the Dark Souls III PvP arena and it is very popular to have 1 caster and 2 melees with different weapon classes so if you really think about it there pretty much is a class based team mode. It's an RPG so of course there are different builds.

Saying that DOOM The Dark Ages would be a dead game, because it has no multiplayer is like saying that Garry´s Mod is dead because most players are playing singleplayer. And again, modern DOOM-games are known for SINGLEPLAYER and not multiplayer. Is that really hard to understand?
I personally don't give a fuck about multiplayer. Most games I mainly just play SP and rarely MP. It ain't really what I personally like much but I agree with you it's pretty shitty to have cut content regardless and on a side note I won't be playing the new Doom either but for my own different reasons. I won't be playing the new Doom because I didn't like Doom Eternal. I liked the combat but hated the gimmicky super mario bullshit platforming and the story feeling like a marvel plot. That is not Doom to me. The classic games are action horror shooters to me and Doom Eternal had no horror elements at all and if anything had more of a marvel/comic book tone and again mix that in with the bullshit tedious annoying gimmicky super mario platforming and it really had me dislike it personally and the new Doom game just looks to be more of the same. So I doubt I will play it at all, maybe I'll play on GamePass even then IDK probably not. I love Doom 1993, liked Doom 2, loved Doom 64, loved Doom 3, liked Doom 2016, disliked Eternal a lot personally and I am not a fan of the modern direction of new Doom and I know I'm in the minority but oh well it is what it is but the new Doom wont be getting any money from me if it's just more of Doom Eternal.

ID Software has the numbers. They see how many people play multiplayer in Doom and how many copies they are selling. The majority of players that are playing Doom today are not doing so for multiplayer. It’s a business. I had the original Doom on share ware and I have never played it for multiplayer. I’m losing absolutely nothing but it makes me a shill if I “support corporate greed?” Sounds like a you problem. I respect you not wanting to buy it; it’s your choice.
