black miata here :D just checked the footage and i was going flat out until exactly 2:01, i remember being impressed of how much distance you made actually. stock 1.8 140hp in case anyone wonders
I remember when I got my PD130 tuned to around 175hp and 400Nm (at the flywheel) and the different in acceleration was immediately apparent. Not just more of it, but available at more of the rev range. And surprisingly, dropped my average fuel consumption by about 10% too.
I was also amazed at my father's PD100 back in 2007, tuned had around 150hp and huge difference. I still have it to this day as a secondary car. Turbocharger failed at 265 000, everything else maintenance.
NIce going Misha!! We've got the ALH version and changing the rear silencer out for a free flow type really helped it at the top of the rpm range, and lets the turbo run cooler. A cheap mod that you will definitely feel.
always straightpipe from the turbo. you barely hear a difference in noise levels thanks to the turbo. that plus egr delete was the typical first mods on the alh.
Misha I had a 2005 Polo GT TDI remapped to around 178hp in 2007. I remember it used to go past VXR Corsas/Clio cups .. it was a crazy powerful car above 100mph....
It definitely feels like it made a difference. You are gonna build the motor anyway. Can't wait for the suspension to go on, then tracktor is gonna look and perform a lot better. Right now with the exception of suspension, it's pretty bang on for someone new on the track or someone who wants daily + tracktool vibes from a car.
@@Bajsi7 Just policy when you have a media license for the ring, otherwise he'd lose it, but if it helps the hobby then I don't have any real problems with it.
Definite improvement! Using nothing more scientific than the bottom of the video clock I got that at 9.40 btg. I did the same before the remap and got 10.15 iirc.. 👍🏻
It's interesting how you're suffering the issue with not being able to heel toe. While owning a Cupra R I never managed to trigger this protection unless the brake was applied after the accelerator, I guess this was something coded specifically to the BAM engine. I did however find a small glitch (so I think anyway) involving the ESP. Say you lose grip and you have a steering input, the ESP as expected would intervene and reduce throttle as required. All well and good, until you lift off the accelerator. Turns out even when the pedal is lifted to idle during intervention, the ESP continues to hold the throttle for a second or two. Great video as always, stay safe!
Really enjoying your tracktor laps! I remember when I remapped my old Octavia 1.9TDI 105KM to 140KM and that was the quickest car in the world with eibach springs and proper 17" tyres (i was 19 then) :D Now I've found 1.9TDI 100PD (Leon 1M) mod to Assetto Corsa and it's my favourite car to learn each centimeter of sim-nordschleife. Get a gt2260v (bmw 330d) turbo for it, intercooler, injectors and a remap and it would be everything you need for it. 250-300 wheel is enough. With a good tune though. Have seen 1.9 tdi who barely hit 200 with bad map
Slowly but surely the traktor is becoming more and more of a race car, It's funny to see parts fitted to the car that are more expensive than it :D lol
You may need to hold the traction control button down longer (for 5-10 seconds until the dashboard light is permanently on) for the system to fully disengage.
The light is clearly always on the dashboard as you can clearly see it in the video, you only need to hold it a sec or two so that it turn's on the dashboard light

About traction control, are you sure it’s traction control and not the ESP kicking in ? On my car they share the same light on dashboard, when traction control kicks in the light flashes, if it’s the ESP that kicks in then in have the light flashing + a beep. I don’t know how VW does it but it may explain some things.
For the traction control do you keep pushing few second on the button to turn it off or just a click ? coz i think on some car you need to keep pushing the button few second to really deactivate it 100% ( not sure )
Looking forward to seeing the suspension done... TC off isn't really off even on the new AMG gtr, there's about six different types of off on that car so you have something in common there, lol
in my old 1.9tdi toledo you had to hold the TC button longer for it to turn it off completely, if you just pressed it it would only turn off the anti slip
