The other day i went to my gp and told her my concerns abouts tsw and using steroids and she lectured me about how ill have to use it for the rest of my life as eczema is chronic. Shockingly i asked what should i do if it stops working she simply said "ill just prescribe a stonger one" just like that 😢that when my heart sank that so many ppl will suffer due to a simple prcedure by gps. Of course its not her fault, its what she was taught but to completely look like im crazy was heartbreaking. I cried feeling hopeless by her condescending manner. I even doubted if i can stop using steroids, thx god the thought didnt last

This is wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing Rob, sometimes all you need is someone to untangle the thoughts that mess up the calm in your head, during a TSW flare. Healing is going steady, but this is precious nonetheless, appreciate it 🤗

I had it bad for 7 years, and then I stopped taking any cortisone pills or creams. Basically, I weaned myself off of cortisone, and then the healing began. Finally, no flares in winter, but in summer, I seem to have flare ups that are certainly not as bad as they were in the previous two years. It seems every summer's flares seem to be less and less. And I also avoid dairy, and now I think I'll avoid eggs too.

@@GodwardPodcast ok as for me my flare hasn't gone any worse sinc March and actually my hands started looking like normal human would have. Also I stopped oozing as much as I did especially at night. My forearms, arms, legs and wounds on my feet started healing and I'm surprised bcs it looks like it could go away in some time. What helped me was mostly zinc oxide and Ichthyol cream was most effective for promoting healing oozing wounds. I shower daily + after starting finasteride I think area on my torso got a little better (from very active to mild flare). Also recently my eyelids healed this week. For context I'm 6 months in.

Hi thank you listening to you has been enlightening my Excema has flare up was last November where I had a flare up one night around
1 am all over my body. Then it just went to my legs ankle and feet. However 3 wees ago started to itch back on my arms and body. I am trying to go by diet from within, but mind is due also to a major stress happening to me, which I am not surprised that it has happen to me this has been going on for a year, seen the doctor prescribed that tablet that you take one tablet a day 5 then half then a 1/4. I also had to take anti biotic.
I am finding it difficult as not to scratch or pick when at night hence afraid to sleep, I am going through stress as preparing for a legal matter.
I am now start to see an acupuncturist healing had my first session last week. He works on the process of calming my anxiety first, plus to take a higher dose of vitamin D3 then what I am currently taking. I am taking omega 3, vitamin E, calcium and magnesium.
So I hope this will contribute towards my healing, I have family and friends that are concerned for me, they mean well, that I should see another doctor.
But I know it is from my scratching and picking that is delaying the healing process. As it only creates another layer of skin to heal itself?
As you were saying about the scab to come of by itself makes sense to me. The acupuncturist said this is my body purging, because of the stress level
I am trying to get back on walking I used to walk up An hour everyday I am 78 years, I find your video very encouraging as I am fairly active, but cannot wear my walking/ runner shoes as my feet are swollen this in itself makes me anxious. So I plan to go on short walks so only need to wear support sandals. and the weather is cooler as Australia is going into winter especially I live in Queensland.
So reading your video has been helpful. Thank you, Carol

I was 14 month recovering. 85% was coming along well. I had an ear infection the antibiotics drops had dexamethasone in them . I took them for 5 days . Ear is better but I've relapsed into tsw worst than my original state. Super pissed. I feel like I am starting at square 1 . Hard to stay positive knowing I've wasted well over a year. Crazy how this started so small and has snowballed into years long nightmare. Doctors have only made my problems worse. It's to the point I don't want to see a doctor cause every time I do I come away worse off.

Heya man. Just a question when it comes to the exercise front of helping TSW healing. In the current state my body is in, the idea of exercise that is more intense than a brisk walk is grim! Not only the sweat on my body, then needing to shower (very uncomfortable for me at the mo) - but also just my skin being dry and sore in my places , is there any suggestions you have?
    Cheers :)

hello, I am going through eczema right now. And I also get very deep cracks on my hands and my feet. Just know that walking is the best that you can do, that is okay. Your health comes first, and there is no point, putting yourself through the pain just to get your exercise in. go at it when you feel that the pain is not asintense. you got this!

I barely used crams.for a long time..put high strength in my neck off and one for 2 months. 95 % healed..had an ear infection and the prescribed drips had dexamethasone in them. Now my flares as qorse than ever its much much much worse. It's been 6 months and I'm worse than ever. He is extremely allergic to pollen but we stay home and we still have flairs happening . He also is non verbal so we don't know if it's a certain food . I'm doing elimination diet too and stopped all steroid . He's on dupixent now .

TSW is not eczema TSW is nerve damage and skin atrophee (skin thinning) caused by steroids making your skin weak it’s not linked with a weak gut usually whilst eczema is usually caused by a leaky gut or weak liver

Good question, I feel you’d have to use your intuition on that. If you’ve been eating poorly, not exercising/all your vitals aren’t great id say TSW but if you’ve been on point with everything but stressed out, I’d say stress :)
