I am not keen on Android 10 as it is very pro-active with closing apps in RAM. That may be why battery life has improved especially on standby. I am not sure Samsung will get Android 10 this year but do not quote me on that. iOS 13 also has system-level dark mode and it seems to work better than Android 10 ATM, though that may change. My latest Beta on iOS has improved battery life by at least 10% so the iphone 11 Pro Max may improve further especially as all the 3rd party apps get optimised. I have the N10 on Exynos and if that is tested expect humiliation as it is quite poor on standby and RAM management has been a bit dodgy. Maybe an update will resolve this and its weak performance?
But Apple actually improves (or complitely screws up) their battery life and performance with iOS updates. It's actually really weird. Example is that the new iOS 13.1.2 can hold much more apps in the memory than just iOS 13 (one guy on youtube tested it). Android on the other hand seems to not change that much with each update.
Marcos Lluberes Android is for lots of phones with different specs,So when iOS is released it is always optimised for that particular device. For instance they have made face id faster in iOS 13.After a new Android is released it all depends on oem’s capability & desire to optimise it according to their phones. Also do notice the status bar in every video across RUclips.Whenever they exit an app it takes it time to match the colour gradient. After so many months they haven’t fixed it unlike Apple.
@@andyH_England I have N10 with snapdragon and is an absolute beast, I have no feedback on A10 yet but I have my hopes up that we will be getting the update on November or so. Λάζαρος Μαγιόπουλος well opening apps is no problem but it just sucks on ram management 😅 it’s nice to see the upgrade from apple. I just wish Samsung didn’t remove the headphone jack.
As someone with no dog in this fight (I own a Windows phone!) I think Apple would still win, but it would be much closer if we take a look at two things: screen size and resolution. 6.8 to 6.5 doesn't sound like much, but that is a big difference in area. The Note 10+ has a 11% bigger screen. Not only that, the notch on Apple's is much bigger than the hole punch, resulting in even more screen that has to be lit on the Note 10+. Then take into account resolution. The Note 10+ has to deal with 31% more pixels. Now, the Note does have a 8% larger battery. Taking all these things into account, that would make things more competitive for Samsung but I still think they would lose by a healthy margin...maybe 7-8%-ish compared to 23%-ish. Keeping an 11% bigger screen lit takes a lot of power, even when factoring battery size.

Interesting. I've owned both phones as well, with my 11 pro max lasting twice as long as my note10+. That said, I owned the exynos version. For example over night my iphone lost 1% of battery while my note10+ lost 15%. I've never got more than 6h 30mins SoT while I have a constant 12h on my iphone 11 pro max. The iPhone is the first phone where I confidently go to work, gym and out with friends without worrying about my battery. One thing I've noticed as well is how it constantly uses the same amount of battery while the note10+ sometimes burned alot more than at other times which made it hard to predict how long it'll last. With the iphone even at 20% battery I'm not worrying at all. I'm happy I made the switch later on.

"wait for Android 10 and see how the battery life is improved" if you are an apple fan and see a problem with that statement realize how stupid is when others type "wait for the optimization of iOS13", point is, I'm and Android user but I can recognize when apple does a good job, so, excellent job apple improving so much battery life 👏🏾👌🏾
I am not keen on Android 10 as it is very pro-active with closing apps in RAM.
