Thank you. I have my second stage of the interview process at university tomorrow. I do not have a degree, but lots of experience with working in the community with people, as a youth worker and healthcare assistant where I’ve learned lots of transferable skills in supporting people with various mental health difficulties of all ages and backgrounds. My passion for helping others and wanting to make a difference in others lives is what got me the interview in a very competitive field. I feel so grateful to be selected out of over 200 applicants considering most who applied likely have a psychology degree and are more educated. I do feel my genuine passion in supporting others will hopefully be enough for the university to offer me a place tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I want this job! And I’m not using it as a gateway into another profession. Thank you for this. The speaker who’s put this together has empowered me more to put my passions forward and secure my place as a trainee pwp. This lady genuinely loves her work, I can hear it in her voice that she’s really making a difference in peoples lives and it inspires me even more!! Thanks again, wish me luck for tomorrow ❤️
Im doing my trainee year. It’s thought. It’s really really tough. You need to manage uni work and a forever growing case load of patients of which some self harm or are thinking of taking their own life’s. But it is rewarding. I cant deny that
I'm a graduate of psychology and will be doing my masters in Psychological Well-being and Mental Health in Nottingham Trent university this September. I am really passionate about this course, are they job opportunities for international students/ graduates in this field
