Splash Mountain became part of Disneyland and it is considered a true classic in the same level with Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and It's a Small World! Which the original was built on top from and improved on. It had a total 103 Audio-Animatronics, the most out of any Animatronic-heavy attraction in Disneyland just behind the original Pirates of the Caribbean and current Disney doesn't consider the original Splash Mountain to be a classic anymore. I can't forgive Disney for this terrible business decision, may Splash Mountain always be remembered forever!! Thank you for this custom and accurate audio mix of the original Splash Mountain, Disneyland Musician!
They would never replace small world, POTC, or haunted mansion, but they replaced splash because some people were offended over the source material. I will never forgive the people who made that decision for taking away one of the best Disney rides I’ve ever been on

When I was little, I refused to go on this. I only went on maybe a year before they announced the change. If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be that Splash Mountain isn’t scary and I should go on it while I can because they closed it down in 2023. I’m gonna miss this ride, despite taking me ages to go on it, it was incredible and nothing they can do with the new one will recreate the atmosphere of the original.

@tootsie guevara but thats not what people really loved about the ride. Sure the layout is great, but what people really liked about the ride was its story, the characters, the beautiful music, everything that made the ride great. All of that is just getting taken away
The ride is insanely fun, but oh my god is the animatronics always malfunctioning, it’s almost everyday that the animatronics are malfunctioning. It’s a great ride but it malfunctions so much, so it probably needed to be changed. Great ride, but it needs to be changed.

The last time I went on Splash Mountain was at Walt Disney World in 2018. It was my first trip to the Disney park in Florida, but I had no idea that it would be the last opportunity I would have to ride Splash Mountain. I enjoyed going on that ride as a kid, both at Disneyland in California and at Disney World in Florida. I've come to terms with this change Disney is making to its parks, but a part of me wishes I could ride it again, just once. Still, thanks to the people that put up various POV and Audio ride experience videos, we can still see what it was like to ride a log past Brer Fox and Bear's homes, float past the laughing place, and sing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah with Brer Rabbit. Even with the ride itself now gone, those of us who had the opportunity to experience this iconic log flume ride can hold on to the beloved memories. I sort've envy the last people to go on Splash Mountain, but I can imagine it was very bittersweet for them as well, knowing that they'd never experience this again. To the person responsible for this video, I want to say thank you. Hearing this audio experience helps me remember what it was like, joining Brer Rabbit on another carefree misadventure, and hearing Brer Rabbit and his friends sing the iconic Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah melody at the end always makes me feel hopeful and able to appreciate the wonderful things around me. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into making this video.
I love Splash mountain very much, but it's very sad when it's closed, but good thing I rode it in multiple times, it's one of those of my favorite rides in disneyland in the whole wide world.

I’ll probably just keep calling it splash mountain. Maybe if they change the name to bayou mountain or frog mountain it would be better)

Thanks for sharing, this ride is a joy from start to finish. Glad i was able to ride the WDW version in 2021 and create some memories. the new rethemed version may of the bones of this but its more than just the drop and thrill to me IMO it was different the animatronics telling the story vs projections showing the story.
I love the California Splash Mountain, but Tokyo's Splash Mountain is just the best version in my opinion. While the Laughing Place scene, America Sings animatronics, and big band soundtrack are aspects California had that are better than Tokyo, some of the scenes in California just felt rushed because the log moves too fast and some scenes are too dark and certain elements are barely visible. In Tokyo, all the scenes are well lit, the log moves more slowly which allows you to really be immersed in the scenes, the outdoor segments have better sightlines, and the first drop is covered to prevent any sunlight from interfering with any of the lighting in the attraction. Also, the animatronics in Tokyo are always working and everything is just better maintained overall. The perfect Splash Mountain would be one that has the improved elements in Tokyo, California's laughing place, and a mix of the country and big band soundtracks (Outdoor: country, How do you do: country, laughing place outside cavern: country, laughing place cavern: big band, zip a dee doo dah outdoor: country, zip a dee doo dah indoor: big band). Also, hitchhiking alligator.
