Thank you so much for this Luna! I think this is the most accurate and best audio mix of the original Splash Mountain at Disneyland! Beating out most and I always prefer the original Splash Mountain over the Walt Disney World version of Splash Mountain!
My childhood was from the late 70s to the early/mid 90s, and at some early age of that time period I had (somehow) seen the original film of "Song of the South," but my only memories of the film were the singing of "Zip-a-dee-do-dah!" and, of course, the infamous story of "Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby." So, when I got to go on "Splash Mountain" for the first time, not long after it had first opened, my ignorant young mind was absolutely baffled (and maybe a little ticked-off) about why Brer Rabbit had been caught by Brer Fox and Brer Bear in a bunch of honey-rich bee hives instead of by the means used in the film. 😄 Oh, to be young and ignorant as opposed to just being ignorant. lol. Glad you made this ride-thru soundtrack, especially since the ride will no longer be the same when next it re-opens with the "Frog & The Princess" theme.
This a very odd and specific question, but I'm actually super curious as to where you got the running water sound and all of the sounds for the drops. I've been looking for them everywhere and I'd like to use them in a personal project 😅
How do you make these mixes and get the extracted audio of them singing and talking!! I wanna try to make one sometime! XD I’m just so happy these things exist
There are various sources that have individual elements uploaded publicly, which is mostly what I use. I don't just reupload them from other sites, though, I mix them together in different ways to bring out each sound. Sometimes I also combine them with other sound effects (like running water for Pirates and Splash Mountain).

Hey Luna! I was wondering if you mind if I use this audio mix for an upcoming DL Splash farewell tribute? Credit is of course present.
Sorry for such a late response, but you're free to use any of my stuff :)

Apologies for the late reply, but I got the running water by looking up different calm river recordings :)
