Hi i have a question that maybe you know, so i just bought some trix c track and under the switch track there are already some electronics, i have no decoder or turnout mechanism yet but i thought maybe you would know what the purpose of this plate with electronic under my track is.

      Hi,
As you state for C-track switches/turnouts two items can be mounted under the switch/turnout: turnout mechanism and turnout decoder. The turnout mechanism is a black metal box that is used to electronically change the direction of the switch/turnout. The turnout decoder is a small electronics board that is connected to the track and the turnout mechanism. The turnout decoder is used to translate the digital signal to a signal that will trigger the turnout mechanism.
You can see the turnout mechanism in this video: ruclips.net/video/hjB_-gq7018/видео.html and the decoder here: ruclips.net/video/_6lGKQ3Vj2Q/видео.html
Other electronics you may find under C-track is the signal decoder - or on some track a power filter. The power filter is usually on a straight track. I believe this is not needed in Europe with the newer switched power supplies but is needed in USA.
You can also see if there is a model number on the electronics board.
Hope this helps / enjoy ;-)

Wow, Thies was a very nice and easy explanation how to do. A question about the stop section of the signals, is this stop section implemented with the m84?

      Hi Martin, glad you enjoyed.
The stop section can be made with Märklin signals or using the M84. This video shows how to create the stop section with the Märklin signals: ruclips.net/video/6Hgvx4LdcUo/видео.html In this video you can see how to create a stop section with the M84: ruclips.net/video/wrSVwgIgR-4/видео.html
The disadvantage with the stop section is that the power is turned off, meaning sound and light will be turned off when the locomotive is stopped in front if the signal. You can use the Märklin 72442 brake module or use automation to overcome this limitation. I have not made a video on the brake module as I find it cumbersome and expensive.
You can see how I use CS3 automation to control trains and stop at signals in this video: ruclips.net/video/ieAltkA_WDw/видео.html
      Hope this helps! Enjoy ;-)
