I have to say this: I don't know how I feel about Blake Jenner as Hans. On the one hand, I can totally see him in this role and executing it very well. But, on the other hand, part of the reason why I think he would make a great villain is because of his relationship with Melissa Benoist. Although technically true, I consider it more as a sequel to Frozen mixed with OUAT characters. Seriously, the OUAT characters didn't really matter to me during this season. I just consider this to be the official Frozen sequel instead.
I love OUAT, but this storyline was its weakest, IMO. It lacked the amazing plotting that all other storylines had, and the casting was a bit off (though not necessarily by much). For once, I prefer the actual Frozen sequel to the OUAT alternative.
Actually The Black Cauldron is a great idea! It was considered a flop but the many many set backs and timeline push backs behind the scenes didn't help it. It was the first Disney animated film rated "PG" instead of "G" because of the animations being very dark for younger viewers so if they went the Pirates of the Caribbean PG-13 route for the live action that would work well. Plus it's based of a book series The Chronicles of Prydain so there is other materials to pull from on the story. Hey, just a warning, you probably shouldn't fancast Blake Jenner in things considering his history. Also even if you were going to cast him, the age gaps between him and Sadie Sink as well as between Sadie and Bobby Lockwood, are definitely inappropriate considering she is 19 and they are 27/28.
Ok, I didn't know what you were talking about so I checked. For those also confused he was married to Melissa Benoist (Supergirl's actress) from 2012 to 2016, and their relationship was very toxic. There was a lot of jealousy and violence (including physical). You have a right to dislike them if you want, but wanting people to not fancast them for something that happened like 5 years ago and that he apologized for seems useless to me.
@@dreamer5959 No actually, I don't want him being fancast or cast in movie because he has admitted to hitting his wife so why should we have an actor, in a kids film I might have, showing people that "oh if you abuse someone then it doesn't matter because your career won't suffer in any way". If these were just allegations then that would be fine but he has admitted to it, Melissa has not. Also, you are completely ignoring the second part of my comment about the age gap. Yes. Would you be willing to recast the Disney movies already released, like Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin and the ones not released like Little Mermaid and Peter Pan?
I wish Disney would make live-action versions of some of their LESS popular cartoons. It's a good opportunity to fix the things that may have made those movies not work as well and it feels like less of a cash grab. For my money, Treasure Planet would be perfect for this. The concept is exciting, the visual development is completely unique, the story is pretty good; there's just some small issues with script and performances that could make it a fantastic movie. So I vote you cast Jim, John Silver, Doctor Doppler Ben, and Captain Amelia
Atlantis and Hunchback are two Disney movies I actually do want to see remakes of. As good as they are, they could be improved upon and the live-action setting might give them the opportunity to do that. Hunchback could be darker, gargoyle free, and closer to the novel. Atlantis could be made longer and give more development to the large cast.
@@MacabreIngenue2 Don’t see why they wouldn’t. They’ve casted several people who’ve played in both the MCU and Star Wars. Besides, the Cinderella movie is like 5 years old so it’s not like it’s something back to back.
Amybeth Mcnulty, the actress of Anne with an E, would be great as Anna. I feel like she could really bring the cute, wholesome, loving akwardness of Anna to life. And also be headstrong. The actress can also sing as she has shown in some RUclips videos.
for Hans i could imagine grant gustin in the role as he still looks young enough for it to work and he played a villain similar when he played Sebastian on glee
Recast "Treasure Planet" and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", Disney films that would actually benefit from a live-action remake (in that something new could be brought in to fix some of the mistakes that made these less appreciated films).
I like anna and elsa a lot actually, but blake is an abuser and wouldnt be cast and kristoff would get a new song in a live action version so they need to be able to sing
A recasting of 80s action heros would be cool. Not just one movie but the main characters of those movies. I.e. Rambo, Terminator, Die Hard, Robocop, Big Trouble in Little China, Indiana Jones's, etc.
@bryanseeker If and when you get to Hercules or Hunchback, I have some suggestions that are far too perfect not to consider... Hades - Glenn Howerton Pain - Nick Kroll Panic - Charlie Day Zeus - Kurt Russell Frollo - Terrence Stamp (or, if Terence Stamp does not have a singing voice, perhaps Jeremy Irons) Clopin - Andrew Rannells Phoebus - Patrick Wilson Victor - Kevin Kline
These are so great! Honestly, I feel like it's unfair to judge all live-action remakes as one unit because they're all made by different directors, actors, and writing. That's why they seem to be on a floating spectrum from good to decent to bad. It really depends on who has custody of the project. For example, I thought that Cinderella and Maleficent were really innovative with the ways that they utilized the source material and added onto it. For me to feel like a remake has been worth it, I think it should have a unique quality that is different from the original whilst still maintaining the general feel of what made the original great. Doing it page by page and scene by scene as exactly the same (looking at you The Lion King) is not gonna cut it for me and is gonna feel inherently tired. There's no real spark behind it. For me, a director taking a stand and turning the source material into their own space to play around and add depth is what I need. I feel like casting is important with finding that spark, which is why having you as a casting director for this would be great. You really have a way of understanding these characters and finding actors that can highlight their traits in realistic ways.
Personally I loved the live action Cinderella for the reasons you mentioned. It was significantly different to the animated film as opposed to Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King which were shot for shot remakes which was so silly. The animated versions will live forever, what was the point in a shot for shot remake. The Lion King wasn't even a live action film!
If you do more Disney live action casts I’d love to see your take on Atlantis!! There is already a fairly popular fan cast for it so I’d love to see how much you agree with that cast!!
Honestly I think Chris Pratt could be either Kristoff or Price Hans. His goofiness would work well with Kristoff and since Chris is immediately likeable and a great actor I think he could do the twist villian with a lot of impact even if I haven't seen him play that type of role before.
There's only 1 that I would REALLY like to see recast: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Not only is the movie SUPER underrated, but I actually feel like it could actually benefit from a remake, preferably one that's a little closer to the book like the stage adaptation. Heck, they should even go for a PG-13 rating like they did with Mulan (which was a terrible movie anyway, I know, but I feel like a PG-13 rating would be the only way to go with this one).
I’d love to see how you would cast a film in a different time period. For example the MCU if it was made in the 90s or early 00s or even if you had a classic franchise in the present day
What about casting something that really needs a live-action adaptation, but never got a proper one? Some of Jules Verne's stories like The Mysterious Island or The journey to the center of Earth, maybe?
You should recast Sherlock Holmes. I don’t know who I would make as Sherlock but Robert Pattinson as John Watson would be good. I just thought of Eddie Redmayne as Sherlock.
I did NOT consider Olivia Holt for Elsa; however I did consider very similar actresses in terms of looks and age. I thought about maybe: Natalie Alyn Lind / Sabrina Carpenter / Hunter King. Blake Jenner isn't a terrible choice for Prince Hans, and I don't have other actors in mind. So that's fine. Obviously his abuse allegations would hinder this casting choice, but I think Chris Pratt is a little to old to convincingly play a character as young as Hans. I actually thought about Alexander Ludwig as Kristoff when I saw the thumbnail for this video. He's young and has that almost princely look to him. So I think Alexander Ludwig would be a great pick as well. An alternative pick would maybe be Josh Hutcherson. Sadie Sink was my number one pick for Anna. Although, I did consider Mackenzie Foy as an alternative casting choice. I think Josh Gad can be brought back as Olaf seeing as his character would be CGI and Josh has a youthful exuberance to his voice. As for Anna and Elsa's parents (who are only seen in flashbacks) I'd go for Robert Downey Jr. and maybe Amy Adams. This live action version could be slightly different to the animation and delve into the background of Arendell in potential sequels/prequels.
If you plan to continue with the Disney remakes; I'd like to see videos for Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, and The Black Cauldron. Out of all the Disney films, I think these ones actually deserve to get remade since they were not very success when they first came out and it would be a good way to reintroduce them to new generations. On another note: a future potential video series could be casting Red Dead Redemption (1 and/or 2) for a hypothetical HBO Max tv show adaptation. For example: one or likely two videos to cast the members of the Van Der Lind gang, another for the various villains, and a couple for the major supporting characters.
It's strange lmao as soon as you started talking abt the qualities that anna should have I immediately thought of sadie sink and had this like 97% feeling that she was actually who you would cast
Ngl I’ve loved Olivia Holt as an actress since I was a kid and first saw her in Kickin It. She definitely could pull off Elsa and when I saw her as the Thumbnail I knew this would be a good video
Naw I think the girl from "IT", Sophia Lillis, would be better. I don't know if she can sing but her overall look and resemblance is closer in my opinion.
This is amazing. I didn't know you were doing this set because i don't always get notifications but you did great with this cast. Even if you didn't take my suggestion for RED in percy Jackson you did great.
Why not do a video about replacement choices for T'Challa since there's a petition for that now? I agree that I don't want a Frozen remake, but I would like a fixer-upper on Frozen 2 and I've always seen Anna as the main character for the most part.
Only for interest sake I don’t want this: Brother Bear Live Action fancast - Kenai = Forrest Goodluck - Denahi = Martin Sensmeier - Sitka = Eddie Spears - Tanana = Tantoo Cardinal - Tug = Vin Diesel - not sure about who could play Koda yet You could keep Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas but here is a recast - Rutt = Jay Baruchel - Tuke = Seth Rogen

I'm kind of okay with you not casting Olaf. A live action version of him would probably be pretty weird.
Netflix's Narnia please! 🥺🥺🥺
Pls recast the Hunger Games!!!!!!!! Also I think if this didn’t happen for several years then Sophia Anne Caruso would make a great Elsa.
Amybeth Mcnulty, the actress of Anne with an E, would be great as Anna. I feel like she could really bring the cute, wholesome, loving akwardness of Anna to life. And also be headstrong. The actress can also sing as she has shown in some RUclips videos.
Sure, I'd be curious to see how you handle Disney live Action castings.
for Hans i could imagine grant gustin in the role as he still looks young enough for it to work and he played a villain similar when he played Sebastian on glee
Can you recast Spiderman, his side characters and his villians in the PS4 game timeline when peter is an adult?
Nice video, Bryan. I hope you can do a fancast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Recast "Treasure Planet" and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire", Disney films that would actually benefit from a live-action remake (in that something new could be brought in to fix some of the mistakes that made these less appreciated films).
What about The Black Cauldron? Now that had so much missed opportunity.

I'd like to see The Emperor's New Groove characters. Please it would be very interesting.
Yes!! 👏👍
i love Olivia Holts performance in cloak and dagger!
Please do the Chronicles of Narnia series and Treasure Planet and Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Plz make Hercules next! It has a lot of potential!
I think a much better choice for Hans would be Matt Cornet, who plays EJ Caswell in HSMTMTS. Especially since Jenner is a total abusive asshole.
You should try to recast ATLANTIS from disney on live action, it could be really interesting!
You should do hunchback of Norte dame and Tangled
@bryanseeker
If and when you get to Hercules or Hunchback, I have some suggestions that are far too perfect not to consider...
Hades - Glenn Howerton
Pain - Nick Kroll
Panic - Charlie Day
Zeus - Kurt Russell
Frollo - Terrence Stamp (or, if Terence Stamp does not have a singing voice, perhaps Jeremy Irons)
Clopin - Andrew Rannells
Phoebus - Patrick Wilson
Victor - Kevin Kline
Do a casting video on treasure planet and atlantis the lost empire and the hunchback of Notre Dame
New recasting idea:
Chronicles of Narnia
No Blake Jenner. No no no.
Recast a modern retelling of Citizen Kane taking place in 2024
Don’t you dare. That movie is an untouchable classic.
How about making a Live Action Casting for Gundam since a Live-Action Gundam film is coming.
Absolute blast from the past with the guy from the wolf show
If you do more Disney live action casts I’d love to see your take on Atlantis!!
Chris Prattseria una excelente Hans
Incredibles, Hercules and The Hounchback of Notre Dame next
Can you cast live-actions of Ben 10, Futurama, American Dragon and Zorro, Generation Z, please?
There's only 1 that I would REALLY like to see recast: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Not only is the movie SUPER underrated, but I actually feel like it could actually benefit from a remake, preferably one that's a little closer to the book like the stage adaptation. Heck, they should even go for a PG-13 rating like they did with Mulan (which was a terrible movie anyway, I know, but I feel like a PG-13 rating would be the only way to go with this one).
Since we're on the subject of Disney live-action remakes...

anyone for GARGOYLES?
Can you make a video casting Netflix’s live action One Piece adaptation?
I’d love to see how you would cast a film in a different time period. For example the MCU if it was made in the 90s or early 00s or even if you had a classic franchise in the present day
Blake Jenner literally beat his ex-wife so that's a no from me...
Bro, can we get a Berserk Live Action casting?
I’ll watch any of these you make but I’d really like to see a hypothetical Pirates of the Caribbean recast
Elsa: Dove Cameron
Anna: Rowan Blanchard
Hans: Mitchell Hope
Kristoff: Cole LeBrant
It's strange lmao as soon as you started talking abt the qualities that anna should have I immediately thought of sadie sink and had this like 97% feeling that she was actually who you would cast
You forgot the most important thing! How will you have Kristin Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff cameo in the live action?
Ngl I’ve loved Olivia Holt as an actress since I was a kid and first saw her in Kickin It. She definitely could pull off Elsa and when I saw her as the Thumbnail I knew this would be a good video
Now post watching, I think your two choices for Anna and Else were awesome
Naw I think the girl from "IT", Sophia Lillis, would be better. I don't know if she can sing but her overall look and resemblance is closer in my opinion.
I think Disney is becoming a parody of themselves. Could you do a Star Trek The Next Generation recast?
recast metal gear solid NOW PLEASE!!!!! lol keep up with the awesome content
Dude you are amazing.
Could you casting live action fighting games like street fighter or the king of fighters pls😢
Please cast the upcoming thundercats movie and the upcoming chronicles of Narnia tv show.
Not me the entire time praying he would just use Johnathon Groff for Kristoff, the Voice actor and a clone to Kristoff.
Also do more live-action castings for Disney
please do the god of war game franchise as a tv series
Please do a series on The Borderlands video game franchise. The announced casting and script for the film are beyond terrible.
You should cast a live action god of war
Can you do a power rangers fancast?
I would rather see a live action remakes of Atlantis and Treasure Planet!
I think The Jungle Book live action movie is the best of the Disney live action films.
Would love to see you recast Pirates of the Caribbean or Watchmen
This is amazing. I didn't know you were doing this set because i don't always get notifications but you did great with this cast. Even if you didn't take my suggestion for RED in percy Jackson you did great.
Please do Atlantis!!! Most underrated Disney gem
You should recast all of Star Wars but with today’s actors
Wonder how you'll cast Snow White...
I hope next casting would be Disney's Hidden gems such as Treasure Planet or Atlantis
Why not do a video about replacement choices for T'Challa since there's a petition for that now? I agree that I don't want a Frozen remake, but I would like a fixer-upper on Frozen 2 and I've always seen Anna as the main character for the most part.
Speaking of fixer-upper, if there was only one scene I could cut out from Frozen...it's *that* one lol
Dove Cameron would be a good choice for Elsa
Is there JLA part 2 coming?
Only for interest sake I don’t want this:
Brother Bear Live Action fancast
- Kenai = Forrest Goodluck
- Denahi = Martin Sensmeier
- Sitka = Eddie Spears
- Tanana = Tantoo Cardinal
- Tug = Vin Diesel
- not sure about who could play Koda yet
You could keep Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas but here is a recast
- Rutt = Jay Baruchel
- Tuke = Seth Rogen
Also do a forgotten 80s classic remake of date with an Angel and also do who's that girl
