Well, it's understandable that members of the community side against the landlord given that wealthy people get demands out of the blue from activists groups to donate money or be labeled. Some self-entitled people/groups look for individual "decision makers" in an organization, and instead of submitting requests to the organization, they go directly to pressure that individual decision maker ("just say yes because it's not even your money so it's no loss to you") to shortcut the process and remove oversight and fairness.

    • @BurakkuHishou

Yes, some blame can be put on her for the "deadbeat" spouse leaving, because she got pregnant (either through improper planning or stupidity) with a guy that she knew nothing about. It leads to the belief that she acts solely on impulse and not choosing a good partner. Reasons to never be directly involved with tenants. If i run my own properties, I will never expose that I'm the landlord to tenants. The smart 9nes might figure it out, but those same ones will likely have a brain and rational thoughts than will mean they aren't stupid or crazy. There are properties I plan to manage. Likely buying more as time goes on. I could and plan to do so. I will take advantage of every advantage I've earned. This can all be done from a distance and if need be I can move closer and myself and my brother can enter the service industry that applies to basically cost us as little as possible in the long run for the short term till we build to a point. A tenant like this would not be getting a renewal. They would be gone and out of my hair in less than a year. And I would never lose money to rent no matter what. I do not care. Your issues are your own. If you have to pay rent is two installments and split it between the beginning and mid month then so be it, but rent will be paid. If you stop paying I will start eviction. The tenants issues are not the landlords issues. I've never expected a break as a renter and never paid late. If you have an issue then it on you. If you can't pay then find other accommodations and with your last months rent you put down and your deposit I can likely work with you on something. But this instance is insane and the fact that there was a community of people on her side is insane. Even at my lowest point I never would've expected the landlord to cover anything for me. Always cover utilities and so on besides maybe water and sewer which was basically a connection fee and $10/mo. And even some of those were simply lumped into rent. The audacity of some people is surprising.

The only reasonable answer is "Your lack of family planning isn't my problem".
Like she didn't even ask to get a loan or something, no - she wanted a handout absolutely unacceptable. She didn't pay rent? Kick her out ASAP - you don't need to be a nice guy, you're rich my dude. Why do you care about what other - most likely financially uneducated pesants - think about you?
I'm not for feudalism and all, but if someone disrespected my like that, they'd whish they never knew me - especially not after your initial generousity.¨
Story is probably still fake though: No attorney would argue with sympathy or such stupid shit. There are laws. First of all any competent attorney would not let that family friend on that stand since as he said “we were shocked” so the witness wasn’t disclosed to the opposing counsel
Second of all even if u had a verbal agreement which is paid for over a year (4yrs for college)it’s not really a legally binding since for this types of contracts u need to put it in writing and again any competent attorney would throw this in their face
Edit: and oh for a contract to be valid you need to get something in return (i give u her college tuition for x)
    Edit2:ok got one more thing
For a person at 34yrs old to have alot of properties they’d have to leverage debt and if you do that u can’t rent it out for a cut since u have to pay mortgage from the rent money

An introduction to how Justice works as an institution (vs the court of opinions and gossip) might give them more food for critical thought.

And D hanged up next week Er called and said:I’m suing your because the door feel out! And we found out it was because her boyfriend broke down the door🤦‍♀️ we got court evolved to and her boyfriend texted D and said I’m gonna pay you I’ll drive to your house to pay and D said that’s not how it works and then Her bf sended a photo of his trucks slashed tires and said I can’t make it and our neighbor saw him slash his own tires and long story short she kept trying to manipulate D but M kept him on the right track and she got kicked out and we never saw from her again and her kids were fine and she broke up with Bf bc she only was dating him for money
