    You're just the best! It never ceases to amaze me how you are able to simplify your tutorials and assume that people don't know the basics, and explain it so everything makes sense. As someone that is 100% self-taught, many how-to videos assume I know things I might not know. Even if I do know it, you give a clear description as to why I might need it. Thanks again!

      Sometimes FB adds compression, so it makes things blurry. But usually, designers only see blue when they zoom in past 100% view.

    I watched the whole video, but I still don’t know what’s the purpose of save for screen. Sorry.
    In which cases should I use this over safe for web, if I’m just trying to upload clear photos to social media? Also, What way of saving would be better for uploading photos to my Wix website? Thanks!
    Is save for screens more for when you’re going to be sharing the file directly?
    Also, do you recommend saving for screens, if I plan to use the art in an After Effects composition? Thanks!

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  3 года назад +1

      Export for screens is perfect for screens only (not printing), so anything that's viewed on the web, social media, websites, etc. It's a good way to get all the file types you or a client might need quickly.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  2 года назад +1

      Facebook compresses images, unfortunately. I would try making the file about twice the size they request (in pixels), then exporting. Email signatures are notoriously crazy when it comes to images.

    Hi! I'm trying to export an svg from a library item using Export for Screens but every time I open a new item in the Export for Screens window the Export to folder is reset to a weird location in a hidden folder. • @GDHT
      @GDHT  2 года назад

      Do you have a lot of raster images in your file (jpg, png, etc)? That can cause everything to slow down. If you're working with rasters and have multiple pages, InDesign is probably the program to design in.

    Explain why Legacy Save for Web renders small texts and generally all the aliasing noticeably better than Export for Screens? Also naming artboards is a dead end, it takes too much time and when you work fast, there is no way it's viable.

    • @GDHT

      You'll have to ask Adobe for your first question :P I agree with you about naming artboards, unless this is a template scenario and you need your file names to end up being the artboard names - I do this for files I sell, and my customers find it very helpful.
