While I didn't like the subs etc yesterday we are yet again ignoring the obvious truth. Some of these players have been started regardless of form under several managers now. Ole had to publicly apologize after he said rashford needed to focus on his football, the club let ETH take all the flak for the Ronaldo and Sancho situations. I honestly think there are either clauses in player contracts or that there's interference from the ownership in terms of who can and cannot be dropped etc. it was stipulated in his interview that ETH had to go forwards with rashford as a key player, naively he agreed. I'm not sure ETH is the right man but I don't think it will get any better if we sack him. As a fanbase we need to make it clear we support a managers wishes over the board and the players, until we do that we will see the same cycle time and time again.

Well said, this has been happening for the past few years. We had Pogba who was filmed having a go at Jose Mourinho, i doubt the player was sanctioned instead its the coach who ended up being fired. Those players have been overprotected and overpaid by the club. Some club legends have also not helped the cause, making too much noise on social media and on telly. Garnacho had an awful 1st half yesterday, if the coach was not happy with his performance then its within his rights to call out the player. Sancho decided to take issues to social media, and its funny we have people who defend such behavior from players who are playing at the highest level while sitting on heafty contracts. The worst part is the club is not even decided on the Sancho issue, serious clubs would have settled that issue long ago. Sell the player and send the right message to the rest, if you dont then the wrong signals are being sent to the rest. Are we surprised that Garnacho had to go on social media after an awful performance from him??? He knows some people will support him including club legends. He knows come season end, the coach is likely going to be sacked while he continues on his hefty salary.

No matter who we brought in for these positions there would have been notice periods, gardening leave and compensation to negotiate. Berrada is in place and whilst he's still on gardening leave he is already working. Ashworth & Wilcox will be in place very soon.

At International level, A manager can get away with playing organized, defensive & reactive; without sophisticated automations, tactics, pressing systems etc (partly because there's little time to do this). Yes, Southgate’s done fairly well, that combined with the luck of the draw in a couple of tournaments. Top level club football & International football is almost a different sport.

Most of our players will lose the ball even without any pressure by poor choice of passes or poor execution of passes. Many of our players dont even try to put their body infront of opposition defenders to try and win the ball.
