Not only that but who actually wants him? United fans have this blind assumption that Rashford has a huge market. He doesn’t because other teams can see him for what he is and no serious team with any ambitions will go near him. Getting rid of Rashford would be a lot harder than people realize.

There’s not a lot of players I would miss in that squad.
As a united fan in the past decade we have been complaining about the footballing structure above the manager and lack of clearing out some of these players.
In my opinion I see clear intent from Ineos to fix these issues and it shows they have listened to the fans. I am quietly optimistic with the promise Ineos has shown and hopefully they live up to it in the summer.

The first mistake of Ineos is "thinking " to keep Rashford. There is no rebuild if Rashford remains in the squad and the coach that keeps playing him (ETH)
The problem with this news is that no-one wants our players because most are crap. We should be actively looking to sell players, rather than waiting for offers.
Selling United players is like trying to offload the 2015 television on 2024 prices. It's going to be the hardest job on football sans maybe the manager role.
This is great news. Wilcox, barrada, ashworth are all accomplished and been in the industry for years. They can identify when players are trying and when they’re not. Players downing tools again to sack another manager will not work with these lot. They see right through it. With Woodward and co on the other hand, the writing would be on the wall for Ten Hag. With everything going on I’m shocked this man has us at 6th in the table. And I know it’s a roller coaster every game. But at least hes not parking the bus and sticking with some of his principles inspite of players not getting onboard.

I feel like the only reason we should sack ten hag is if a manager like zidane comes in anything else is a downgrade and will be ridiculed. To avoid toxic abuse, I’m Ten Haag out but I am also most players out too. The two can be intertwined together. You bring in a manager with a vision and a system that is progressive and modern, me I’m going Amorim. He has shown a progressive style of play that works in a modern era of football. I feel Ten Haag style is B tec pep at Bayern style. It is outdated. With the news of the player reset too, perfect time to bring in a fresh face with fresh players that are brought in to fit in his system and style of play. I also do not want to hear about Man Utd do not play with 3 at the back, please for the love of god let’s move on with the times. Fresh manager, fresh players and fresh fan mindset to what can be a new era. Bring in the analytic players this season, allow him to coach them in the system they have been bought for, then by next summer the manager will have an opinion also. But I understand your point. I think if you want to give him new players and give the current manager till Christmas or the season I can get on board with that, I support the club at the end of the day 😊

Regarding the clearout issue it's clear that it's needed but those who should go are on too big wages and are underperforming. My fear is that someone comes and says "here's 200 million for Maino, Garnacho and Højlund" and that we end up selling them instead. That's what I fear more than someone offering a 100 mil for Bruno. It all starts with a wage structure imo. Players no longer think that good performances are what they get paid for. They all seem to want more as soon as they string 3 good outings.

Eriksen is underrated IMO. Him collecting the ball from the back 4 is good calm possession football which Man U needs.
He wants more game time, he should find a better suited Club, that’s all.
Amorim is a better manager, with a better style and preforms better in the transfer market than EtH. Also, Amorim is much better with the press.
There are some talented players in the under 18 ... bring them to train with the first team...we need to stop signing overaged players.

Everyone is set to leave except the manager that looks clueless and unable to manage the team. Manager has no strategy and has excuses about everything. ETH defends poor performance as entertaining football. He fights against journalists who state facts. Yet the manager will stay and everyone else will go so that we keep this manager till December when he will get fired for losing more games than games won.
The only player who are worth keeping apart from Mainoo, Garnacho, and Hojlund, are Dalot, Martinez, Bruno, and Mount who I know will come good for us.
This only applies if you can bring better players in.
Although I back EtH he has to admit mistakes and a certain stubbornness with tactics. If us and Marc can sit here and see a high press with a low blow leave our midfield gassed he has to adapt. We don’t have the players to play that system. If we sack him I’d prefer someone who tactically plays with a tight defensive system and wing play that teaches our wide players to actually cross to the strikers who need to be coached where to be
Could of reactions from my point of view:
- There is nobody that squad that has a chance of leaving that you could fetch 100 million euros for. The most realistically high value i could predict would be in the range of 70 million tops, but thats like best case scenario, not necessarily the most realistic. I think Greenwood would be at or below 45 million and same for Sancho. I think a majority of the players you need to leave will go for 30 million euro and below the ownership will absolutely have to accept that and eat losses on transfers.
- Bringing in players like Wirtz and Musiala is possible, but you'd playing in the realm of 90 to 100 million euros for Wirtz and 120 to 150 for Musiala. If you're fine blowing your budget on two players and paying 250k-300k each for their base salaries then go for it. If you're going to or need to sell 9-10 players and only bring two creates huge issues. Plus there is no guarantees that they will be successes. There are obviously other targets but the players above should be ruled out in my opinion.
- Also important to remember, that many targets aren't exclusively being looked at by united, their will be other clubs that are interested in players that the club wants and its very much possible that you might have to go 2nd or 3rd choices as options. If you don't want move on from a player you're going to have to put in an offer that can't be matched by other clubs so it might mean 25% than the reported transfer fee originally requested plus the player will either have to force the move or be more incentivized with a higher salary.
Bascily: There are a lot of variables. United nor does any other club have a perfect summer. The environment will change really quickly once the season ends and anything can happen for better or for worse.
All well and good - but who is going to buy the majority of this current squad? Who will pay anything remotely close to £80 million for Antony? Will the club take a £60 million hit on him? Who will pay Varane and Casemiro anything like their current age? Will they accept massive salary reduction?
These players were fully aware of the clear out and the changes that were coming. Some of them were intentionally underperforming trying to fire the manager that they could survive.
How can all players apart from Mainoo, Garnacho and Holjund be up for sale and then you say Rashford and McTominay are not for sale? OMG you have been saying the same thing for 25 minutes.
