This is the 5th time I have watched this video. I have spent the last month studying which way I was going to grow. After some deliberation, I decided the natural way. Out of all the organic soil searches, BAS spoke to me. I have invested greatly in my 1st grow in my 4x4. I have full faith in your product and am so excited to start my 1st seedlings. Thank you for all the info and help. Here I go!
His products work really well, but in his videos he explains why they work and how to source them yourself. Much more convenient to order craft blend though!
Sunshine daydream! Love it. Just ordered 4 build a soil diy yard kits. Probably have atleast 50 bodhi packs I’ll probably never get through. Love this channel. Keep up the good work!
sunshine daydream was the first seed I ever grew, turned out amazing in organic soil, but was wayy before all this stuff got popular lol. I'm about to try BAS now that I'm getting back into it
Greatly appreciate you sharing this! I've been following you for months, just recently got some Ethos Genetics in my possession for my first grow and this is extremely helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the first time I think I've ever said this, but I'm glad I had good Mexican brick weed and christmas bud growing up, because I could always find a huge variety of healthy seeds to play with that I just had to pick out. So thankfully I didn't have to go through the pain of losing $150 to my own silly errors.
Nice vid, I hope you get to finish this series. It will be some invaluable stuff, and from the looks of it something for everyone. Knowledge is power, props ✌🏼
Last grow I put seeds in solo cups with light warrior. Dry seeds. Just 7 ph water. Plastic bags with water sprayed into. Regular led screw in flood bulb. Daylight. Both popped in 3 days.
Like what you do with the cups. I've found that is the best way to cut them. Sometimes I get fancy and use a 1/4" drill bit and drill a few at a time. Lol
I use nail clippers, scissors, or a razor blade . and cut it on the corner there, just like he showed on the video. nail clippers are cool cuz they leave a perfect rectangular hole. like a machine punched it out
a little h2o2 in the water that u soak seeds in help them germinate also. I've done it with success with 10-15yr old seeds... I added like 10ml to the solo that I soaked my recent wedding cake seeds in.. ( they are from 2019) and they all germinated.
I am gonna attempt the notill life, was looking at the kits and leaning towards BuildASoil Complete Soil Building Kit - Coot Approved is there any info or tips to look for?
Idk if you read comments but I was wondering if I have severely hindered something. I realized today--- The water I used---I forgot I had humboldts secret a&b bases mixed in. Will that hurt it?
I do that same passionate talk to everything that I do when I'm working on a car I'll talk to it like it's a living conscious thing if I'm working on electrical my sound system doesn't matter what it is It's all my babies ... I did the same with the seeds I put in plugs 2 days ago .... I wish I did the water cup .. cause then it alleviates all the stress if it popped or not. ..I want to dig the plugs open to see if anything happened
it's easier for watering practices, especially for newer growers, to transplant up multiple times... but, if u water correctly, and have the soil balanced, u can easily plant into the final container first.. but, sometimes, soil can be too hot for a seedling for example so u would need less hot soil around the first root growth, and get stronger as it goes out. there are lots of variables and pros and cons either way.
I learned that if you look at the seed, you know more about it- like if it is a m-f-tg sex, it's been some 🧠 lost on my part, but I think if it was a male, black doots is what you see, if it was a Female, the you'll see a black line, if it was trysexual, you would see black dots, and a line!! That much I remember!
The foil on your cup. Did you poke holes in the foil or just cover it? Do they need the air exchange in the cup with the foil? Answer to my question is dont cover the foil people. If it helps others. It helped me. Didnt use a germination mat either.
I'm not happy with your website. Too many products. Lack of description on product pages. I don't want to scour the blog looking at a million articles just trying to understand your products. Maybe it's just me and I'm an idiot but I still don't fully understand your soil product and I've been on your site 4 times. Can it be reused? Does it need recharged with added nutrients/materials after each harvest? I understand the basic idea of living soil but I don't understand the specifics of your product so I am moving on.
thanks for your reply. like I said I do actually somewhat understand the basics concept but further complicating it is I have seen some products marketing themselves as a, living soil, but it's marketed as a one time use product, not really a no till setup. I seen someone on IG with a no till setup so I was able to get the gist of the concept from them. it sounds very appealing but the available info is fragmented all over the interwebs and seems, just like on your site, geared towards those with preexisting knowledge. I have found an article or two that had a great basic overview of the concept but was light on the details and specifics when it comes to top dressing/mulching, etc. I'll check back in the future and I encourage you to become the go to destination for noobs wanting to learn about no till. assume the reader knows nothing and be that place to teach them imho. best of luck.

I whisper to my seeds too. "grow baby, grow".
I actually heard that.. In my head
😆 👊
Definitely watering is the most challenging part of a soil grow
This makes so much sense to me, and this is after about 2 dozen similar contents 👍

In the eighties that is all we had to work with here in Florida. Got lucky and had some beans that were 🔥.
Very helpful. This helps me understand how to use the soil to start seeds. Thank you.
I am a great admirer of your work sir.

Knowledge is power, props ✌🏼
Very thorough. Thanks
Getting hooked to the BAS way... This contest is amazing.. def joining patreon. Peace!!!
I love my heat matt! It has a digital thermostat keeps the heat consistent!👍

You the Man
Thank you!
Man im jealous of the beans in this vid! I had sunshine daydream around the time this video was posted. Wish she was still available :/
Dispensary in NJ had it. It was great💯
@@111juan5 I'll have her again soon! Found someone who was willing to give me some SSDD F2s for free! Gonna be popping em this summer for sure

lighter works great

So grateful for this Jeremy. Also, very excited you are using the 3.0. Why did you decide to go with the larger Growstones in the formulation?
Sounds like Jeremiah's been ripping dabs in the bathroom
Excellent

Everyone knows sunshine daydream is abbreviated...SSDD
😎
A+
Did you ever try with Hydroponics
Jeremy, what is the best soil mix to grow your own Aloe Vera?
Kleenex
Bless your seeds. 😂. 👍👍
What are your thoughts on scarification to assist in germinating Probably wouldn't be a bad idea with thicker hulled seeds.
Scarring for those who don't know is the process of using a matchbox or a small file to thin the shell so it's easier for the tap to break through

Why do you favor transplanting instead of planting from seed straight into a 7 gallon pot or your final pot?
I would imagine it would mainly be because it's the least risky way to successfully start growing your seeds without act issues if that makes sense.
it's easier for watering practices, especially for newer growers, to transplant up multiple times... but, if u water correctly, and have the soil balanced, u can easily plant into the final container first.. but, sometimes, soil can be too hot for a seedling for example so u would need less hot soil around the first root growth, and get stronger as it goes out. there are lots of variables and pros and cons either way.
What changed between this video and your instructions online? The online text instructions now specifically say NOT to soak?
Can you link me to where I said not to soak? I can clarify and update. Thanks!
So the seed goes tap root side down or no tap root does it go pointy side down?
Tap root on bottom, going down

If you take a lighter and touch it to the bottom of the cup, it makes perfect little holes!!!
Where do u get your seeds.where is a good place to get good cannibas genetics??
seeds here now is good. u can use a card. and super fast shipping and many good genetics from many reputable breeders
Where is a seed bank to order good genetics from
💚💚💚💚#1luv4dabud
stack your cups and use a long drill...you're welcome, several hours saved
Also use a junk bit and heat it up a little. Goes through like butter.
What about peat pucks
1/2 gallon pots are WAYYYYYYY better than solo cups. I remember when I used solo cups. It was my first grow. Then I evolved.
Yup after I kept knocking one and they would all tip over, I never used them again.
Why not paper towel method

Plugs are better than direct sowing. This guy is an amateur.
