Barnes4WD now has the bracket kits for sale!!!! Super affordable pricing, and like always you can save 10% off anything with the code JKgear Make sure to subscribe and turn on the bell notifications! We will be putting the 3 link to the test out west!
JK Gear and Gadgets I am looking at getting the bracket kit but they do not have the link/joint kit yet I can get it all separate but was wondering do you know if the enduros are the 9 or 10 degree offset?
John Byrd call up 7slotcustoms and talk to Connor! Tell him I sent you and he will can help you out with everything in this kit. I want to say it’s the 10* because the 9 and 10 have different mounting widths. You can also choose to run standard heims all around and it will still be fone
I clicked the link in the description and my browser shut me down, said there's a problem with that specific website and not to continue. Is the link correct/verified?
To anyone watching this, never weld a bracket up with the joint in it. The heat transfers fast enough to melt the races inside the joint. Instead, use a piece of all-thread with nuts inside and out to hold the tolerance while you weld.
JK Gears & Gadgets, One of the most informative video channels on the web. I have learned so much from the videos about suspension, roll cage building, exhaust mods, shock installations. Ben does a fine job with the explanations of what is being done for what reasons. This comment is coming from a truck guy who is slowly getting the bug for buying a Jeep. Keep it up Ben, good luck a King of the Hammers
Nothing but respect 👍🏻 your one of a few that I enjoy watching. I like that you dont depend on others and you do everything yourself. Nothing is difficult when you have a good thought process and patience.
Well done Ben, that is a sh*t ton of fabrication!! Now we just sit back and wait for the RUclips haters to critique your welds, brand choice, amount of discount they are offering, the wheels on your kids barbie jeep...whatever they can pull apart.
I’m never going to go this far with my JK, but it’s fascinating to watch. Thanks for making such detailed videos! Far beyond the typical RUclips bolt on. Love your channel.
Ordered same setup from Barnes 4WD today for my JK 2dr. Picked up their belly skids for it a few weeks ago and was really impressed with simply how beefy their products are. Can't wait to get this all installed and tested out!
Awesome video dude. I really appreciate seeing you do all the work on your Jeep and learning along the way. This is content nobody else is making and I'm so glad that you do.
I've owned my JK since 2007. After watching your video, man I have some serious suspension upgrade required asap. I'm lucky I have broken anything on the trails. I bought a 4" lift shock and spring lift in 07" and haven't touched anything else since. BRB I need to slap myself.
imsorryclass I’m sure he is, but at the end of the video he asked everyone if he should or shouldn’t keep the light bar for the Trail to SEMA. Did you even watch the whole video?
Thank you so much Ben, I know it must suck, frustrating and irritating making the video while working, but I appreciate it so much, thank you for everything ❤️❤️❤️!!!!
Great video! I like production, but I love serious Jeepers doing their own work. It teaches those (me) who didn’t grow up wrenching on things, how to do it or if I should even try.
Great video! Personally I would remove the light bar because it looks kind of out of place on your bad ass Jeep. If you still want that extra light out on the trails I would recommend the KC Pro 6. I think that option would look great on your Jeep and give you the light you want and go along with your jeeps aggressive stance. Again great video and keep up the awesome work!
I got the kit because of your video. They have changed up the parts with the better joints on both ends. . That too front bracket was a pain to remove lol. Good video thanks
Hey great video. I definitely like the follow along with the fabrication. Let’s me know if you can do it I can probably get my 9 year old son to do it!! Hahaha. No but....really great insight and I now know it’s a little bit more than I can handle on my own. ( I really need better tools particularly a welder) I truly respect your ability’s and willingness to deal with the filming of that project. Can’t wait for the next one!!🤘👍
Very informative Ben!!! Thank you!! It answered a lot of questions I had and gave me things to look out for. And to answer your question about the light bar, Virginia is DARK at night but it’s up to you. I personally am not a fan of them though. I look forward to many more of your videos and meeting up with you.
Looks awesome. Cant wait to see more videos. I wish I had the skills to do the welding myself. I love the guys at barnes 4wd. Had a shop here in Raleigh screw up my wifes jeep and ruined the joints on the tie rod and draglink setup. They helped me out with the replacements. Congratulations on the sponsorship!
Great video! Didn’t really expect anything less. Thought it would seem really long being 44 minutes but was over and didn’t seem long enough. Awesome job on the sponsorship with 7 slot customs. Have been watching you videos for a while and it is definitely well deserved. 😉
So Me and my Kids use to Think my '17 JKU with 3.5" lift and 35's was a bad ass jeep and Now they say my jeep looks stock compared to yours. My 5 and 8 yr old sons watch your videos on there ipads or tv and then come tell me Ben uploaded a new video and tell me what you did this time! So keep it up they choose your videos over some of the other crap out there on you tube. They cant wait till the day we can wheel with you at Uwharrie! Be safe headin out West but most of all have fun!
How many times have you seen a broken 3 link on the trail? I’ve seen more 4 link brackets fail. unless it’s a triangulated 4 link, the long arm 4 link in outboard configuration binds a good bit.
@JK Gear and Gadgets, take the light bar down before heading to SEMA. But if you would run one in the future, then just save up for a KC Gravity light bar. 🤙
Always a job well done. I’m very impressed with this kit and may look to doing it in the future. Such an amazing channel and it’s awesome to see that you have the support of Barnes4WD now
Fantastic video! Go on with the details, that's the most interesting part of it! I would change the lightbar bracket so the bar sits much much closer to the windshield frame.
Great video..your so informative and your talent never cease to amaze me.I have no welding talent and wouldn’t attempt that.Love your channel and your jeeps.
Barnes rear 3 link truss came out with the updated version. The 3 link tower was keyed into the truss to not make any mistakes by burning it in too far back/front or twisted.
Can't wait for this product to become available! Since you are making videos right after I finish researching subjects, I suspect that your next video will be on installing an Atlas 4 speed transfer case. :-)
Not a hater just wanted to say stic and flux core is a stronger process. Weld.com did a video to prove it. Honestly your welds looked good and enjoyed the video great job man.
1 congrats on the sponsorship Barnes is bad AF. 2 I say keep the light bar. You know those guys you’ll be riding with will love it 😂 good conversation starter. 3 I wanna be the first guy to toss this kit on a stock set of JK rubicon axles 🤙🏼👍🏼😏 As always. Killer work my man. Excited for your trail to sema journey. I love AZ. Hit up “breakfast club” in downtown Phoenix BEST breakfast food ever I promise.
10% off is actually decent. I need some misalignment spacers and was gonna order from Barnes anyways, they have good prices lol. You just got a subscriber and a click on your link, thanks for the content!
Whoa buddy, I just clicked the link you provided, and my browser immediately stopped me and said there's a problem with the website. Is that the correct link?
Great video Ben.its your Jeep and light bar,if you like it you keep it on,but I really don't think you need it.i don't have one on my YJ but I do have one on my Z71 and it catches tree limbs and things that run over the top.i vote ditch it.
My 2 door Jk was recently hit and it messed up the front axle, a control arm, and the control arm bracket on the frame. Instead of replacing the factory suspension stuff, we decided to go with a front 3 link and the shop recommended this kit. I'm not sure about doing the rear half eventually ...I've read that this rear design causes the front to raise up under acceleration. I have a supercharger and definitely don't want anything with unpredictable handling.
Wow great video and looks like a great long arm kit for the jk but the only issue I see is the rear axle upper link bracket looks kind of weak I would add more gussets to it. 👍
Love your American pride, but.....light bar...I would remove. Thanks for the video. A lot of work under the jeep as well as positioning the camera constantly. Appreciate the effort! My 2020 JLRU should be here any day. I have to (get to) start from scratch again, so appreciate all the how to videos and reviews.
My front is done similarly with Artec's kit. I'm still running MetalCloak drop brackets and adjustable arms in the rear. Seriously thinking about 3-linking the rear too.
Great video Ben. Definitely interested in doing this to mine. Checked out the kit on Barnes and looked the instructions over and there are some changes it looks like. Looks like some of the tubes they give you the measurements for to cut them . The rear upper link has a fixed joint housing now. All good and I'd assume are just improvements in the kits design and function. Thanks for putting this out.
In no particular order, install the falcon 3.3, remove the lightbar 😂 good work just bought a mig because of you 😊 I installed the skid for the falcon 3.3 and want then weld. I'm in practice mode now welding everything I can find 🙄
I personally don’t mind long videos. The more time you spend explaining something and mocking it up underneath the Jeep the better I understand it. Also I love white board explanations. Dirt lifestyle does but always seems to stop just short of a full explanation. Overall this was a really informative video and I’m sure anyone that owns a jk has a better idea of what to expect.( tj owner)
I only said that to people who arent familiar with welding. I don’t want someone to go out and buy a $100 stick welder and try it. Mig is easier for someone to learn and usually the welds are better for someone who doesn’t have practice.
@@JKGearandGadgets you are correct mig is easier and will generally look better . for someone just learning stick is way harder if people would learn to weld up hill with mig the welds penetrate better but don't look as nice as down hill welds most people in the offroad industry weld mig down hill. my welding is not near that good, but from the safety of my computer desk i can say that there was a bad spot on that weld.
Thats very little fabrication. As basic and simple as it gets.
@@wheels.and.wrenches this guy has clearly never browsed pirate4x4. You would get flamed off that forum for claiming this is fabrication!
Ben I’m impressed, you’ve got some skills. Thank you for taking the time to video all of this when you’re on such a tight schedule.
Awesome video and top notch craftsmanship. I’d probably get rid of the light bar.
Cool vid dude, good to see a step by step guide! As for the welding, stick welding is more than strong enough for control arms ;)
haha, i found that very comical !
I was going to ask why you wouldn't use a stick welder. Any idea?
Hillbillyjeeper WV so the heat doesn’t deform the threading

Agree - As a do it yourself guy and one who takes his rig offroad he should remove the light bar.

Thanks Ben for the discount! My wife has other chosen words.... 🤷♂️

Thank you for explaining long arms vs short arm suspensions. Excellent presentation!
Nice work! Just a tip keep a battery powered leaf blower close so when you're cutting and grinding you don't have to roll around in metal shavings.
Metal shavings are the worst

Just bought a set of F250 axles out of two different trucks, both '04s, for $550. Looking forward to see what damage I can do with my Lincoln 180.
Bruh... This is a SICK video. Love it.

yeah, you could always drop it. But its a pretty thick tank, i wouldnt worry about it. Im sure its recommended to drop the tank though lol

I screw up on my front upper bracket and welded the plate before welding to frame.
