  • Hi everyone! I’ve been having a lot of technical issues so this video is a bit later than normal. At any rate, this goes over the differences between mechanical and computer engineering by breaking down the difficulty, demand and job prospects for each.
Now, when it comes to which engineering degree is better, there is no correct answer. There are many different factors to consider such as the demand, the difficulty, the salary, education, college, professors, and personal preference that will determine which engineering is the best for you. so please keep that in mind while watching this video and again always do your research if you plan/want to pursue and engineering degree.

I think mechanical engineering could be a little bit harder than computer engineering, Its more technical with heavy load of advanced math, and many theoretical concepts in thermodynamics or fluid mechanics.not to mention the complicated mechanical drawings. Also mechanical engineers they have electrical engineering courser as well such as circuits, electronics, electrical machines and mechatronics

Main difficulty with computer or sw eng. IMO Is complexity. Good code needs to be modular to lead with complexity. Commercial software have 1m Or more LOC.

From what i have heard, only pure electrical engineering is more dificult than mechanical.

Electrical engineering has hardcore level of Calculus whereas Civil and Mechanical have basic Load systems study that's why Electrical is hardest not only branch wise but just as a major coz they have more drop out rate coz Mechanical and Civil are more easy and chill branches and are more common

Mechanical Engineering has exactly the same level of Calculus and differential equations course load as Electrical Engineering

I believe that Mechanical Engineering is a bit harder than computer Engineering, while the classic electrical engineering major is a little bit harder than mechanical engineering.

Disagree with this video. I understand what you’re saying but no.
Computer Engineering is newer. It began as a more difficult degree. Your information is outdated. Nowadays, It’s not that difficult to figure out the problem. The technicalities have been figured out.
Mechanical Engineering has been around for a long time. It’s also not all “physical”. There’s chemistry, Electrical, Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, courses which aren’t easy.
I find graduating with a Bachelor’s of science in Computer engineering to be easier than Mechanical Engineering.
