11 es sensacional Grease, desde q la Vi x el 78 acá en Babahoyo Ecuador, hasta ahora, Jhon y Olivia pasaron a la historia con este gran película musical.
90's kid here but I have older siblings and one of my sister's absolutely loves this movie. she would make me watch it with here many times over. She literally owns the movie on every copy created for the movie (VHS, DVD, BLU-RAY & Laser Disc I believe). Wasn't all bad. I eventually grew to enjoy the movie myself. Good cast and great singing.
This movie had such awesome music - just incredible the number of great songs that came out of one film. Olivia Newton-John was wonderful. RIP sweet lady - you and your music are missed.
Loved Grease. I was in high school in the late 80’s Earl 90’s and we even had a click of girls that called themselves the pink ladies. This movie will never get old. My kids drama camp even did a kid version. It was great. ❤
These videos will always cheer me up as they throw you back to the summer of 77 , they seem so innocent and the world was a lot more innocent also, like no big wars etc... to worry about. Classic film and great songs!!!
I was 9 when this movie came out. My mom didn’t allowed me to go watch it at the movies but my sister and I got the album and played it over and over again. We also got a picture book of the movie (aka the movie told in pictures). When I finally got to see the movie on tv years later it was so magical! My book turned into animated people and it was just so good! I loved this movie and it brings so many great memories of fun times with my sisters. RIP Olivia Newton Young. Such an amazing singer and beautiful person.
I'm Aussie and was about 12 when this came out. My god, it was the coolest thing we'd ever seen. On the last day of high school we all had to do a song and dance performance in front of the school.. We did Greased Lightning and it rocked!! 👍✌️🇦🇺💃
My favourite movie still from my youth... The music, actors, songs, etc., especially one of my favourite singer of all time, dear Olivia Newton John... Her vocal is absolutely amazing, I always loved it and I always will.... I have so many albums of Olivia... Grease was absolutely masterpiece of musical, I just love it..... Rest in peace, Olivia Newton John, you beautiful human being, our Sandy...... ❤️❤️
Grease was the first B'way musical I saw. That was in 1974. Went with some kids from high school as a graduation present. Love it! Didn't care for the film version. The play was infinitely better.
I was in boarding school in the UK at the time. We had a special night to go as an all girls' group to watch this movie. I bought the album thereafter, played it in our common room everyday.
This was big at the drive in and on the radio when I was young, and I remember this girl, I met at the local swimming pool when she first moved to town....we spent the summer to the soundtrack from this movie, and surprise, we had the same classes.... it wasn't the hollywood ending, but definitely great memories...Andrea from south side, you know who you are
I watched this movie many times in the past, when I was a first year high school student. It was the time when I was dancing thèじるばnd twist in Harajuku, Tokyo, wearing a pompadour and a leather jacket. I have fond memories of it.
Brings back lots of great memories to Olivia newton john and the other actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong after all these years later appreciate the memories and music and a good laugh watching you on TV or my cell phone is priceless great job people you should be proud keep on singing music to my some of the best and favorite songs ever keep on singing music to my ears much love and respect and appreciation job well done you should be proud grease always a classic to watch really appreciate you guys thanks !!!! Joe
Great movie from 1978 brings my childhood back and the memories of that year I'm a strong person but towards the end of the song with the music just gets me bawling out crying😢
Hope too.. But hopes are dead Keep dreaming.... Hollywood is also dead... No more films like this, no more stars like them..... The world just changed too much and there are no more values in such films for studios...
This song is funny in the sense he says one thing, and she says another, It is because they sang to their pals of the same sex, who had different points of view. The song is very good, and proof one cannot believe all young people say about their vacations.
Yeah, I realized that after rewatching it. He’s clearly exaggerating by making it seem more sexual when it probably wasn’t. She’s just telling the truth and saying what actually happened. Boy, they’d have fun telling their future children their meeting story lol.
Summer lovin', had me a blast Summer lovin', happened so fast I met a girl crazy for me Met a boy cute as can be Summer days drifting away To uh, oh those summer nights Oh well, oh well, oh well oh, uh Tell me more, tell me more Did you get very far? Tell me more, tell me more Like does he have a car? She swam by me, she got a cramp He ran by me, got my suit damp I saved her life, she nearly drowned He showed off splashing around Summer sun, something's begun But uh, oh those summer nights Oh well, oh well, oh well oh, uh Tell me more, tell me more Was it love at first sight? Tell me more, tell me more Did she put up a fight? Took her bowling in the arcade We went strolling, drank lemonade We made out under the dock We stayed out till ten o'clock Summer fling don't mean a thing But uh, oh those summer nights Tell me more, tell me more But you don't gotta brag Tell me more, tell me more 'Cause he sounds like a drag He got friendly holding my hand Well, she got friendly down in the sand He was sweet, just turned eighteen Well, she was good, you know what I mean Summer heat, boy and girl meet But uh, oh those summer nights Tell me more, tell me more How much dough did he spend? Tell me more, tell me more Could she get me a friend? It turned colder, that's where it ends So I told her we'd still be friends Then we made our true love vow Wonder what she's doin' now Summer dreams ripped at the seams But, oh, those summer nights Tell me more, tell me more
3:18 - 3:51 This part might be seen in a different way now, at least by me: with Olivia gone, it's like John Travolta is thinking about her and she appears like a memory, or even an angel from Heaven.
I loved the song the first time I saw the movie. a life later, I still love this song. perfectly matched how boys and girls were expected to be and how they really were.
I was drinking at my best friends house and I was 40 and said I never saw Grease he immediately got it on Netflix and made me watch it, he you have to it's the American thing to do !!😅
I saw this movie when I was way too young, i was watching it with my older siblings and my mom was downstairs in the kitchen. I was eating a PB&J sandwich, i ended up choking ok it during this scene and had to run downstairs so my mom could give me the heimlich maneuver. Thats what I think about watching this scene
I love it absolutely love it when I first went to see this picture in the seminar. It cost me a dollar one bloody dollar to go and see Greece I was wrapped I was in my glory I thought I was on planet Mars. It was the best day of my life I had popcorn I had licoriceand I had peanut coated chocolate. I was absolutely flabbergasted I loved it. Those days could come back.

RIP to the late great Oliva Newton-John.

Played the soundtrack to death. Awesome album start to finish. Only movie I saw more than once in the theater.

Summer night is the best song sang by both actor and actress in “Grease”❤
Each year the new year or a bank 😂is the best way of doing this was the best of the 😢😮in a new 3rd car
I like to imagine that because there were 2 different locations of this song sung together, that there was awkward pauses

One of the most iconic songs in the movie .R.I.P. Olivia . We miss you
2:35, she appears at various scenes throughout the movie, but the girl at the very top is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
Loved it, loved the movie. I was in the stage version last March, and loved this scene.
I loved the did she put up a fight part.

RIP Olivia Newton-John, Jeff Conaway, and Susan Buckner AKA Patty Simcox. Also, 3:18 feels like foreshadowing since Olivia is now in heaven.

That would be sexist, transphobic, homophobic, racist etc in the eyes of idiots. We'll never see movies like this again unfortunately.
