Over the years as an undead connoisseur, Ive noticed that one of the coolest but atrangely underused designs is the treant-corpse. The sharp angles and tight curls of a dead and gnarled tree pair really well with stylized bone, and adds more texture and detail than a bare skeleton can support on its own. Need more necro plant content in the world
Not to mention that, famously, trees dont move very easily. So that jagged sort of forced movement pairs very well with the unnatural shambling of a walking corpse.
And not to mention that the Splash art goes *HARD* as in *REALLY HARD* Karthus didn't deserve to get that kind of Splash art but here we are now and *people are already LOVING IT* (Including me)
This sort of stuff I think is absolutely amazing. I am enamored by interesting and unique concepts, especially with a dichotomy like this. I'd fawn over a half decent drawing of the great concept of "Lich Ent" and the quality of this skin holds that higher.
i know nothing of league of legends, and i'll never play the game, but i love hearing the way you talk about these pieces of art with such regard and appreciation. thank you! it makes artists like me feel like maybe one day people will talk about my art that way too
Karthus was always my favoitrite charecter due to the whole lich thing and bieng the only one in lore that looked at the shadow isle and said "This is my kinda of vibe" and actually becoming undead was the best thing that ever happened to him, good skin since it reflect him a little with slight changes, since in the lore he was very happy to watch his love ones die since he was fascinated by death who enjoy witnessing the slow decay
