**NOTES & CORRECTIONS** - It's been brought to my attention that at about 11:30 I said something in a confusing way. The line was "[...]the creator of the seelies - at least the lord of the night and her friends -[...]". Some people understood this as me saying the lord of the night WAS the creator of the seelies which is not correct. I was specifically referring to the creator OF the seelies SUCH AS the lord of the night and her friends. My apologies for the confusing wording there. - I COMPLETELY FORGOT there's a stigmata for Yog-Sothoth in Houkai Gakuen 2. And not only does it support like, half of this theory, but it also talks about the world being made of words (last video I made) and that could have saved me so much time if I just remembered it existed. (Aru Hiseki literally released a video on this like TEN MINUTES after this finished premiering. I put a link in the description which you should check out for more on the outer gods.)
You mention the book of the dead is another name for the Necronomicon, but you can go a step further to connect that to Deshret because in Ancient Egyptian culture, "the book of the dead" is the name we give to the scrolls placed in a sarcophagus to guide a Pharoah or other figure of importance on their journey through the afterlife. (Of course I know non-nobles had access to this information too, but I don't know how exactly it worked for normal people.)
In hi3rd not only there is an stigmata for Kafka, there also stigmata for Selene the moon goddess aka one of Heilos's sisters two sister, and Heilos is what Eilo is name after
Did you know that Deshret has a secret wife? You can find this in the book "Of Deshts and Ashts" In this book, it states that Deshret lives rent free in his secret wife's head. Forbidden knowledge could not corrupt her mind for it is already corrupted by her love of her husband. They had to seal her somewhere down the depths of the Mare Jivari because she was too much
Wanted to mention a small detail. Citlali mentions that in her tribe it’s believed that over use of elemental energy is bad for your eyes, and it seems like most people dismiss this concern. However, now we know that the elements combined are a light-based energy and too much light is definitely bad for your eyes. xD The Masters of the Nightwind might be onto something.
There is also the fact that people of her tribe are also sensitive...at least more than others. If that's the case then the elemental sight may not actually hurt them but just overhelm them. Imagine looking at a lamp and then putting a magnifying glass in front your eyes as you watch it.

Pyro and Electro: sources of light Geo and Hydro: prisms for that light Dendro and Anemo: synthesizes and/or swirls the elements Cryo: forgotten in the corner by Ashikai and Hoyo
Given Pyro was connected with Phlogiston, maybe Cryo will be connected with the idea of Cold being it's own thing instead of the absence of heat. Maybe "Cold" and "Hot" will act like electromagnetism, so Cryo would be "Anti-pyro" of some sorts. Normally, Hoyo leaves these "holes" into their lore so other writers have liberty to add things later. Just remember how the idea of Forbidden Knowledge, Primordial Water and Phlogiston weren't present in 1.0, and maybe the writers just added them in a way that could contextualize what was already present in lore. It's kinda like how people think Shinobu, Miku and Thoma were weak in Inazuma because they were being built with Dendro in mind, when in fact, leaks about Dendro(First ones were the reaction's names) came after there three were introduced. I believe it was the inverse, Dendro was built with these weaker units in mind, with EM scaling, Quicken to buff Fischl and Keqing and explosive cores so healers were needed( Since at the time, Shielders were prefered over Healers).
Cryo is Hydro in the state/form of Geo. Which may explain why Cryo users are paradoxes because Cryo is "solid water", which is kind of a paradox as a phrase. Ice can also refract light, like prisms. Ice are tiny crystals----and crystal glass is what a prism is. It could be the element at which that is a substitute to Hydro. And Cryo will probably play a much more important role later on since there's still Project Stuzha, which everyone theorizes to either be Ragnarok or Fimbulwinter. Either way, ice plays an important role because it's basically the timer for when the gods kill each other and die. Edit: I’d like to mention that in Norse Mythology, ice was key to creating the first being. Whether Hoyo will borrow that part in Norse mythology too, we aren’t sure yet, but it is likely that they’ll borrow some elements or concepts that involve ice. Primordial fire and ice met in the void realm, creating the first sentient being-and possibly even water since fire + ice is water. Primordial water anyone?
What if Cryo and Anemo are the Safeguards of Dendro. Neither Reacts with Dendro and therefore can act as Barriers, kinda like an outer shell that prevents cross-contamination OUTSIDE of the Controlled confines of Irminsul. Anemo Also Does Not React with Geo and Cryo STOPS Hydro by freezing it.
Sometimes I wonder how much foreshadowing gets lost because the translation team doesn't get spoilers. . .and then have to wonder how often new lore drops make them scream in frustration over not being able to go back and change old dialogue.
Never underestimate Ashikai. She make a very reasonable theory about why Paimon being Emergency Food is lore, linking with eucharism and iranian mythology.
if phlogiston is an opposing matter to the primordial sea, that could explain why neuvi, as the heart of the primordial sea feels he'd not be welcome in natlan

To add on the Theory, take a look at the ‘Dragons Bane’ polearm. It is the “Bane of Flame and Water; increases damage against opponents affected by hydro or pyro.” It scales with elemental mastery and the weapon description mentions that it can kill a dragon with ease…😮
It's so fun watching these theories as an old-school Mihoyo fan from the Honkai Impact 3rd era because every single one fills me with more and more dread as it becomes more and more likely that people have been (unintentionally) fucking with making a Herrscher (or the Genshin equivalent at least), and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one. Is it Childe, who's been Herrscher Coded since he's released and keeps getting heavier and heavier Herrscher coding with each appearance? Is it going to be someone fucking with shit in Khaenriah, or following through with what Desheret was doing? Just saying- We know the electro Archon and her ideals are the closest to the heavenly principles, while the pyro archon is the farthest from the divine- she is human...
But wasn't electro and hydro related to the primordial sea and the abyss in this theory? What does the electro archon being the closest to the HP mean in what you're saying? Fyi I'm not disagreeing with you, I just don't really understand the connection since English isn't my first language so some parts of the video and your comment are a bit confusing
@@mangoman4671 If I hazard a guess, then lets go with simple eternity and HP maintains the status quo and divine order. From there you could go deeper and deeper based more on what notions align well but it risks becoming increasingly abstract the more that is incorporated.
Dendro/Irminsul is like a computer that processes snd infuse hardware (phlogiston) and software (primordial water) to create. Too much raw unnecessary data = virus/error
I see people mentioning Cryo being ignored, well: If we think about it, you know how Geo and Cryo are usually the slimes that use shields right? And Geo is in the exact opposite side of Cryo in the spectrum. Rocks are bad heat conductors, and Ice is also a bad electrical conductor. So they shield their respective sides from leaking too far? Or in other word regulate? Too much electricity will fry a circuit, too much heat will burn a circuit. Circuit(Irminsul/Dendro/Leylines) in the middle... I think you get it. And ofc this is all confirmed by the Pyro and Electro reactions with dendro. NOW it makes sense why cryo and geo don't react with dendro? Geo and Cryo are LITERALLY shielding Dendro, of course they don't react!!!
Let me change Ashikai’s theory up a bit: Pyro gets fanned by Anemo and Geo insulates Hydro from Pyro. Electro is conducted by Hydro and Cryo insulates Pyro from Electro. And Dendro is the one in the middle which translates the data from both sides in a controlled manner. Yknow what lemme copy this as a comment.
This makes me think of that diagram of the light realm, human realm and void realm where they’re stacked on top of each other other, overlapping. I think the elements and the visible light scale and that diagram would make a lot of sense if you just ignore the color of the anemo symbol, and make it orange for a second. Light realm/phlogiston/infrared is pyro. Avoid realm/primordial sea/ultraviolet is electro. Well, you have hydro (blue) to spread electro, and you have anemo (orange for now) to spread pyro. Then, cyan cryo to block electro+hydro/primordial water from going to far and yellow geo to block pyro+anemo/phlogiston. in the middle, mix of blue and yellow, green dendro… Which is the human realm. I mean, in the same way electric energy needs a conductor to spread around and air isn’t a very good conductor, fire needs oxygen to burn… The only part of this theory that doesn’t make sense is that while hydro can react with dendro on its own and has cryo as this unreachable shield separator, anemo can’t swirl dendro, and wouldn’t need this geo shield separator. Perhaps it’s just because when anemo doesn’t really react on its own like the other elements, but rather spreads them around, so it’s just spreading pyro that DOES interact with dendro?
Have you guys wandered what is Neuvillette's first name because it is stated that the name Neuvillette is his last name. And there was a theory that I heard which stats that the reason why the Traveller uses a fake name is because if their true name is known that they can be controlled by a higher being with ill intensions, and if you remember xiao before he was saved by Zhongli was controlled by an evil god who used his name to control him. And then Zhongli defeated that evil god saved emo boy and sealed his original name and gave him a new name which is xiao. Can it have some connections to Neuvillette... it's just a fun thought that I had while watching this video.

In the word Al Azif (العازف), the “Al” is usually used as “the” and azif means musician. It can also mean player (as in like an instrument player) in other contexts -> example: عازف القیتار (Azif al qitar) means guitarist or literal translation is guitar player/musician. The word singing in Arabic is Al ghina’a (الغناء) and singer is moghani (مغني). Just wanted to add this lol. When the teyvat chapter are over I hope you make a video or something that summarizes or contains all the info and references genshin has and all the connection it has to other lore. It really feels like genshin is so much deeper than people give it credit for and honestly all of this is insane
I can defo see abyssal coexistance being an endgoal, especially with the recurring note of related creatures seeing the world in a much different way than the humans of Teyvat do! An example obviously being Durin's perspective of how he thought he was being friendly and kind, while in Teyvat's perspective he was a terrible monster causing destruction and devastation. iirc Elynas & the Melusines have similar notes but I can't recall specifics off the top of my head rn
That's too early. If there really is an actual plant beast in the depths of the oceans, then they are kinda fucked for life. Unless they are weakened but I doubt it'll be any less weakened. It'll be a huge issue for Tevyat as a whole planet to live through to tell if it does happen. Asides from that, genshin impact was originally supposed to be another honkai name but Google apps had some issues with it.

@@purepotassium there was a line in the game about Fate submitting to the Tyrannical Usurper (crimson Moon's Semblance aka Arlecchino weapon), which leads me to believe Fate is connected more to the abyss naturally while Nibelung the dragon spirit king aka "Heavenly Father" as Neuvillette calls him is more connected to the light realm
@@silverstuff1146 A major theme so far has been different kingdoms and nations trying to take control of Fate back from the Heavenly Principles, (implied to be a usurper from the abyss). @@purepotassium abyss = void realm. if nibelung was in charge of the light realm before the primordial one and was sun-moon alchemically paired (like zhongli + guizhong or deshret + nabu malikata) with fate (who has plenty of lunar connections), then its safe to say that fate was connected to the void realm in some way when teyvat was still balanced. the primordial one is their own sun-moon pair, as they are described as androgynous and have also been theorized to be the First Descender aka not from teyvat aka not from any of the 3 realms.
@silverstuff1146 is it said anywhere that the void realm was part of the original teyvat? I was under the impression the void realm was a reference to the abyss (an outside force and most likely where the primordial one came from, essentially in outer space). Brain explosion moment: If the abyss governs evolution, and electro is the light through which the abyss manifests before being shaped by hydro, suddenly Ei's obsession with eternity takes on a whole new meaning. And if we see visions as a form of human evolution, the vision hunt decree also gains a lot of meaning too. Do visions actually come from the abyss?
Nope, Neuvilette already confirmed that gods (or Celestia) govern the power to bestow vision, making the owner an allogene (said by Venti) capable on ascending to Celestia. Definitely divine.
@@antelopeishere That’s true, but can’t Neuvilette also grant visions? That’s exactly why Furina even has one. And he’s not inherently celestial either. In fact didn’t ashikai comment on this in her world structure theory?

@@antelopeishere a fair point, though did we not get a glimpse of what awaits allogenes when they ascend to celestia in the Vanessa comic? And how it looked a lot like jail, or Isolation. We also know that celestia controls all the elements, including electro and hydro, so perhaps their ability to grant visions comes from the same place. Alternatively, the description of how people gain visions is "their ambition reaches the heavens", which we just learnt is also where the heart of the abyss is. And iirc, for the most part archons are completely unaware of the visions they supposedly grant, as Ei has a voice line surprised that no electro visions had been granted since the start of the vision hunt decree.
Guys do you remember the last summer time event where we got to introduce the magic tonic , maybe they are foreshadowing Phlogiston in that event since it has different colors and my interpretation of the squirrels and toads having colors is the Night Soul blessing in Natlan which technically enhances the Elemental Energies of a Vision bearers the same way the animals in the event does so
I'm so dissapointed in all of you for fixating on pregging Neuvilette and not on the fact that the traveller can also make those orbs and can therefore create a Melusine or something similar by themselves
I'm very surprised you didn't bring it up, but the abyss is very closely related to both the color purple and electro. (fitting your theory) First of all, childe's foul legacy deals electro and gets a lot from the abyss (though his electro delusion also plays a big role in this)* But more importantly, the narwhal, which is deeply associated with the abyss and the primordial sea, deals hydro damage on the surface, but when fighting it's abyssal core deals electro (it also summons vishaps which could relate it to dragons**). And in the TCG it applies both hydro and electro. This could easily be used to back up your thory that the abyss is related to electro and the primordial sea despite the sea's much more obvious connection to hydro. The color thing is obvious as most instances of the abyss (chasm, Natlan, the broken sky in Rene's book). *Lastly, we've only seen two characters in game effectively wield a delusion, and both have a transformation. La Singora has the tranformation into the crimson witch of flames which her cryo delusion helps keep under control. However, Ajax's transformation into foul legacy deals electro and it looks like the foul legacy itself. The harbingers know that delusions are very dangerous to use, so there must be a good reason for them to give them out to two harbingers. Early in the game I assumed all the harbingers had one and they were just strong enough not to care, but not that 6,4, 2, and maybe 1 don't, it makes me think there has to be a reason to give one to childe. This always confused me, but based off your theory, perhaps the power of electro helps Childe control his abyssal power better/more safely. ** This goes into a deeper theory I have about skirk's master being Nibelung, but I don't have time to get into it rn

Okay, I don’t know why I only thought about in now, but there’s something that got me interested with the situation of teyvat’s three moons. In physics there’s this theoretical phenomenon that’s called three body problem, which actually means that when there is three objects of similar size and shape that are orbit around a planet - it creates a very unusual and unpredictable trajectory of movement, which also theoretically can cause all sort of the disasters and chaos on the planet that they re orbiting… Idk why I’m bringing this up, just got me thinking so to speak.
That reminds me about a series that was kinda popular at some point on Netflix I think, with a race of aliens having made a VR game with this exact problem as its premise to tell their story. I forgot the title though, but I wouldn't be surprised if the title is the name of that phenomenon
@@clemente3966 It is. It's also based on the book called "The three body problem". which then spawned a triology. Fun fact about it: The author came up with the dark forest theory that goes something like this. "The reason, why we can't find aliens is because all of the alien civilizations that could potentially exist are afraid of the others, who could take them over".
If I remember correctly, the Three Body Problem occurs when 3 celestial bodies of similar mass orbit each other, not when they orbit a planet, that would be juat a planet with three moons.

A lot of findings and connections packed in a single theory video! Thank you Ashikai for this. You've validated a crazy theory I had since 5.0 about the abyss being a misunderstood villain (from Simulanka's plot). I feared posting it on reddit and RUclips in connection with my other video on Simulanka. Now I see that it wasn't as crazy as I thought (and I regret not posting it). Also referring to other Hoyoverse games is really worth it. This video should have been labelled "The Truth of Genshin Impact Revealed" or "Greatest Revelation Of All Time" or something. Always here to learn!
listened to this in the background of doing my homework but you always get me so enthralled that i have to pause and look up to really focus on the theory... thank u for the thought food ashi!!!
I'll laugh so hard if Hoyo throws all this away and simply introduces "Primordial Lightning" or something for another element. But Neuvillette laying eggs is interesting, also cryo is crying in the cryornder
I believe the end of the Teyvat storyline will introduce Honkai, as like publicly known. And in a sense, Honkai is forbidden knowledge, and the two elements in Honkai Impact that tend to combat it the best are Quantum and Light. We've seen the Traveler use Light element in the beginning of the game; void is clearly Quantum, but we haven't seen it harnessed by anyone besides Abyssal creatures.
I'm not sure how well I'll be able to explain my thoughts on this so please be patient with me. On the point of the different elements being on the light spectrum, I find the order to be extremely interesting. If we look at it in terms of color gradation, it would go Pyro - Geo - Dendro - Anemo - Cryo - Hydro - Electro. And then if you think of elemental reactions and how they function, I think it really helps to round off the theory of pyro being physical, scaling to electro being light. For instance, Pyro reacts in a physical way with the other elements by making things burn, explode, or evaporate. Geo is like a barrier between the physical of pyro, but the metaphysical of the rest of the elements. The only way geo is able to react is by creating crystalize shards, with appear light fragments of light. Dendro and Anemo are able to react with every element except for Geo (and Cryo in Dendro's case). Then Cryo creates a barrier between those and Hydro, acting like Pyro's Geo. Finally, there is Hydro and Electro, which in real world terms, water is not only one of the ways to create electricity but is an amazing conductor. Sorry if that didn't really make much sense? I think the idea of Geo and Cryo being the two elements that hold down barriers between the heavens and the abyss to be an interesting idea. The other thought I had based on this section was that it might be possible to take the info of Pyro being physical and Electro being memory, and put that down into a bit of how the visions manifest. Not how they work or function, but what that means for the vision bearer and how they use their powers/kit. For instance, a lot of electro characters deal with memory or the mind, even ideas come to life (like Fischl for instance), whereas a lot of pyro characters use physical items or their kits (think Klee's bombs). I know that it's not 100% for all of it and it would probably take some time to figure out and list, but I think it's a really interesting idea.
i havent finished the video yet, but the segment about the abyss learning and mimicking what it sees reminded me of something. all the khaenriahn tech we see are described as mimetic beings, and they are - all are based on living beings that exist already (crabs, jellyfish, eels or snakes, even dragons [the drakes]). you could say that the ruin graders and guards are based on humans (since they're clearly inspired by talos, the automaton). humans observe and mimic to create and survive, it's the basis of *evolving* from older systems. however, like the abyss, humans arent exactly capable of original thought... everything we create can be ultimately traced back to things that exist in nature already. and this makes me wonder if the abyss could, somehow, become a real sentient being capable of moving around. is this what vedrfolnir is? we see him hanging around the abyss like he owns it, he's even called The Sinner, singular, despite there being five of them (ironically, rhinedottir is called GREAT sinner but not given the same grand entrance as him). but i'm thinking the abyss isn't an *individual* per se, but like the sea of consciousness, a unified mass of intelligence. a hive mind. could it be possible? a sentient, learning, perceptive and active hive mind. of what? souls, i don't know. but given how it behaves, this is what it makes me think.
I appreciate the implication that canonically you could absolutely get Neuvillette pregnant if you tried hard enough. That's not the intention of the video at all, but it is a fun one to push as possibly canon in the notes of a fanfiction.
@Askikai is so smart, the electromagnetic spectrum realm section is also a bases for my own magic system I developed in my story. She talked about alot of elements i considered years back while creating the system but it also surprised me that someone was able to apply the logic towards Genshin other than myself. I started the project years ago trying to create a "Uniformed theory of magic systems", often during roleplaying or logic battles, others would have trouble power scaling Characters using different magic systems. So I created a uniformed theory that any magic system could fall into. The team in Genshin is impressive and that's what attracted me towards its worldbuilding.
So what you’re saying is that: From light comes form, projected onto the world by flame (pyro), crystallizing into substance (geo) and unbound, granted the freedom to change, to grow, to adapt (anemo) Meanwhile thought enters the world from the abyss, projected by the flickering shine of lightning (electro), allowed to flow like water (hydro) and finally allowed to crystallize and become action (cryo) At last, form and thought come together to create being, life, and wisdom (dendro)
Fun bit: In some versions of the Orphic mythos, the Cosmic Egg in which Phanes hatched from was made from....... Aether, the primordial air in which only the gods themselves have the right to breathe in. And Aether, the primordial god, is the physical manifestation of said air. By proxy, this makes Aether another possible parent for Phanes. The Goddess of Time is basically Genshin's equivalent of Chronos, so....... Is it possible that the Goddess of Time and Aether were the parents of Genshin's Phanes? ley line outcrops color scheme supports the theory that irminsul filters both energies. blue gives the "desire for battle" (chaos?) through experience (memories?), and yellow gives the "desire for treasure" (enlightenment?) through mora (catalyst that brings physical transformation?)
I can't help but notice the Parallels between the pairing of Phlogiston with the Primordial Sea, And the Pairing between the Imaginary Tree with the Sea of Quanta Which just so happens to be the center of Hoyoverse' multiverse- which Genshin was confirmed to be a part of from pretty much day 1
For those wondering what the point of cryo is well its very very tightly knit between hydro and dendro but it still works. Cryo takes the place of what geo does. Geo seals away the energy of phlogistion in a solid crystal form and while cryo can tech ically do the same thing for water it mainly seals away the will from acting upon the world via slowing it down and freezing it.
I've seen Ororon's kit leaks and that, a long side his backstory in the archon quest make me think you may actually be on to something with the connection between the abyssal sea and both hydro and electro.
bro your videos are derailing my entire life. I was SO CLOSE to being free from the Genshin fixation. How could you do this to me. (I love your videos dude please keep pursuing this interest forever)
Also, something I find interesting is Childe's elemental affinities. Normally, he uses Hydro, which in your descriptions here is the "earthly" form of abyssal "light", but as he goes further away from "himself" towards his Foul Legacy, he gains Electro powers specificially- the element closest to the source of abyssal "light". And while the Foul Legacy form uses both elements, in cutscenes he definitely shows much more power in and a larger preference for using Electro. Surely this isn't an accident.
People be drawing Neuvillette's eggs in such creative ways, meanwhile he just summons them in front of our eyes constantly. Sorry, had to get this out of my head! 🤣Loved the video as I lose track about lore with so much info in game. I really wonder if we're ever gonna get Kiana in Genshin or not, to save everyone once again.
36:16. Narayana or commonly known as Vishnu, in Hinduism, is stated as a primordial god who also slumbers in the celestial waters which is kinda similar to Cthulu in a way. However he is a preserver of the cosmos unlike Cthulu, which in my opinion lines more with Neuvilette because Vishnu in some texts in also known to have been referred to as the cause of all creation. And primordial sea is related to the creation of all things in tevyat.
ofc, ofc. It wouldn't be an Ashikai video without an unnecessarily long explaination and rampant theories mixed in with the information. And how could I forget tying everything back to Deshret bc he has to be something more than just a random god in sumeru. Never change ♥

I think it makes sense that visible light divides into the elements when refracted. It's not an uncommon thing in rpgs - in at least one Final Fantasy game that I know of, attacks that deal damage of all elements and will exploit any elemental weakness are called "prismatic," implying that pure light can be divided into the elements (admittedly, one of the elements is light, but in context it's more "holy light" than literal light). And similarly, the most recent Pokemon games added the Stellar type, which doesn't work exactly the same way, but it's a similar idea. I think that also plays nicely with the idea of how Authority is divided. When the game likens the seven elements to the seven days of the week, to me that was it saying that, like the days of the week, the elements are arbitrary. There's no reason there *had* to be seven, but in the creation of the "modern elemental system," that's the number that was chosen. Ice and water, rather than being separate Hydro and Cryo elements, *could* be the same element if the dividing lines were put in different places. Or, fire and lightning could be combined in to a "plasma" element (doesn't really work with the physical rainbow, but does work with the wheel in which humans perceive color). Alternatively, the elements could be subdivided *more* than they currently are - for instance "dust," " salt," and "chalk" could all have been separate elements, but are just a part of the larger Geo element in Teyvat. Actually, in real life, while the seven colors of the rainbow are arbitrary, the person who proposed them initially identified them as 6, just going off of what he considered to be different colors, but he *wanted* it to be 7 for, like, religious reasons or something? Or to match the days of the week? So he added Indigo between Blue and Violet. That division of Authorities is displayed all across Hoyo's games, too. In Honkai Impact 3rd, the only reason that the Previous Era and Current Era Herrschers have the same 12 Authorities is because PROMETHEUS became the Will of Honkai in order to make that be the case, so that they'd know exactly which Herrschers would be coming. On Mars (or more specifically, the Bubble Universe on Mars that contains Langqiu), the Seven Shus fight against the Shadows using seven Authorities, those being Sacrifice, Gadgets, Falsehood, Destruction, Deception, Union, and Pleasure, and I think there you can see the dividing lines in action, with Deception and Falsehood being considered distinct, rather than just collectively being something like Lies (of course, that's just in one samsara, the most recent one seems to have a history that involes Ten Shus). In Star Rail, Paths have fused and split in the past - one ideal splitting in to two ideals representing more specific concepts, or two related concepts (e.g. Order and Harmony) fusing in to one (Harmony), again showing that the dividing lines aren't set in stone. And even though the elements in Star Rail don't seem to be some sort of cosmically determined system like Paths are (or at least I haven't seen any lore about them), you can kind of see it in how they work too - there's no water element, but there are still people who have some sort of control over water - Imbibitor Lunae is Imaginary, but seems to control water and Bailu uses water in her healing, but is Lightning. --------------------------------- Btw, one teeny tiny little thing - I'd argue that Sa is a more recent example of the cosmic horror thingy than the Cocoon of Finality, at the very least in the way it was set up, even if her story only lasted a few chapters before Vita seized her Authority.
21:30 hold up, editor. As a technician I have to stop you right there. Green circuit boards are common but not universal, for starters. Most hobbyist boards actually use a brown resin, and boards from computer component companies are typically whatever color is in fashion that year. Also, circuit boards are not circuit chips. A human is not going to be soldering extra components onto an IC chip (Well, not the ACTUAL chip itself, anyway), and photo lithography would be an extremely time consuming method for etching the conductive metal foil off of a circuit board.😅
Ashikai wanted to do shorter videos when I am begging for the longer videos as they are always treasures! Hope you have as much fun making these as I do watching them!
"...to forsake the self and [...] welcome rebirth as a holy infant.", not gonna lie, sounds a lot like the "secret ending" of bloodborne. You know, the whole bwing reborn as an infant great one. Which is very Lovecraft inspired, so checks out. I've said it before, genshin references bloodborne quite a bit
I want to add something here. During seele's trailer in impact 3rd, we see the sea of quanta form copies of Honkai enemies. Just like how the primordial abyss seems to be able to form copies of hilichurl enemies. They don't form any new enemies but rather copies of already existing ones
As Ei said: "Only through Eternity are you closest to the Heavenly Principles" > Eternity is Electro > Electro is Violet > Violet is closest to Ultraviolet > Ultraviolet is Abyss > Heavenly Principles is the Abyss Either this is a coincidence and I'm reading too much into it, or the Abyss has already infitrated Celestia to take Teyvat down.
**NOTES & CORRECTIONS**
- It's been brought to my attention that at about 11:30 I said something in a confusing way.

Pyro and Electro: sources of light
Geo and Hydro: prisms for that light
Dendro and Anemo: synthesizes and/or swirls the elements
Cryo: forgotten in the corner by Ashikai and Hoyo
I mean cryo is what freezes hydro, so idk. Something that makes hydro function like how geo as an element refracts light? idk man.
Cryo is literally the next region, maybe they're just saving all the juicy cryo facts for that?

It's so fun watching these theories as an old-school Mihoyo fan from the Honkai Impact 3rd era because every single one fills me with more and more dread as it becomes more and more likely that people have been (unintentionally) fucking with making a Herrscher (or the Genshin equivalent at least), and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one.
Is it Albedo and Rhinedottr's shenanigans that's going to drop that bomb first with making a 'primordial human'? Is it Childe, who's been Herrscher Coded since he's released and keeps getting heavier and heavier Herrscher coding with each appearance? Is it going to be someone fucking with shit in Khaenriah, or following through with what Desheret was doing? Hell, even the chess symbolism with Scheznaya is a part of this because those with visions are implied to be pawns in the game to match the pieces of the archons and WHAT DO PAWNS THAT CROSS THE BOARD AND MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE DO BUT PROMOTE AND IM STARTING TO FEEL LIKE PROMOTING MIGHT BE A BAD THING FOR A HUMAN

Just saying- We know the electro Archon and her ideals are the closest to the heavenly principles, while the pyro archon is the farthest from the divine- she is human...
Oooh, good one!
But wasn't electro and hydro related to the primordial sea and the abyss in this theory? What does the electro archon being the closest to the HP mean in what you're saying? Yeah, like, spoilers from 3 different games? Ashikai is definitely cooking
31:15 oh my god. Irminsol takes lights from above (celestia) and water from below(abyss). Why does this make sense to me so much???
Dendro/Irminsul is like a computer that processes snd infuse hardware (phlogiston) and software (primordial water) to create. Too much raw unnecessary data = virus/error
Raiden Ei being depicted as programmer in a lot of modern day / cyberpunk animations makes even more sense now...
I see people mentioning Cryo being ignored, well:
If we think about it, you know how Geo and Cryo are usually the slimes that use shields right?
Yes I ignored anemo being between dendro and cryo.
I mean, in the same way electric energy needs a conductor to spread around and air isn’t a very good conductor, fire needs oxygen to burn…
The only part of this theory that doesn’t make sense is that while hydro can react with dendro on its own and has cryo as this unreachable shield separator, anemo can’t swirl dendro, and wouldn’t need this geo shield separator.
Not only does Neuvillette lay eggs (violently, all over his enemies) but he ALSO eats (or at least in some form *consumes*) said eggs to beat up his enemies... I feel that makes it worse somehow? Please be normal Monsieur.

omg... phlogiston is the additive color wheel (rgb, light based) while primordial sea water is subtractive color wheel (cymk, pigment based), i wonder if nibelung is the light king while the night mother is void queen they would seek each other naturally, making perfect equilibrium through opposite but similar ways.
edited to imply the primordial one helped cause alchemical divorce, with the way the game says Fate bowed down to the Usurper
This seems extremely likely.
Although I would argue that it might be Nibelung as the light king and Primordial One as the abyss queen
What do you mean by "Fate is connected more to the abyss naturally"? I was under the impression it referred to a method of controlling teyvat's future and not things outside of that.
Also fate is really more of a mechanism controlled by the Heavenly Principles, right? You're talking about Fate as if it's an entity
Brain explosion moment:
If the abyss governs evolution, and electro is the light through which the abyss manifests before being shaped by hydro, suddenly Ei's obsession with eternity takes on a whole new meaning. And if we see visions as a form of human evolution, the vision hunt decree also gains a lot of meaning too. Do visions actually come from the abyss?
W a i t .
You’re cooking SO HARD with that omg-
Nope, Neuvilette already confirmed that gods (or Celestia) govern the power to bestow vision, making the owner an allogene (said by Venti) capable on ascending to Celestia. Definitely divine.
@@antelopeishere That’s true, but can’t Neuvilette also grant visions? That’s exactly why Furina even has one. And he’s not inherently celestial either. In fact didn’t ashikai comment on this in her world structure theory?
@@jonathanwilson5355 Celestia can do so because of their control over the element (Archon Throne). Neuvillette getting his control over Hydro after the Hydro Throne disappeared also gave him the authority to grant vision too. Its just a tradition he decided to continue from now on.

I'm convinced you need at least 10 phds to be a writer at hoyo.
Guys do you remember the last summer time event where we got to introduce the magic tonic , maybe they are foreshadowing Phlogiston in that event since it has different colors and my interpretation of the squirrels and toads having colors is the Night Soul blessing in Natlan which technically enhances the Elemental Energies of a Vision bearers the same way the animals in the event does so
Purple us sensible. If void/abyss is a mix of phologiston (red) and prinordial sea (blue) it would be purple
Oh.......wait a minute
If this were the case, then the phologiston would not be the best tool to counter the Abyss.
(fitting your theory)
First of all, childe's foul legacy deals electro and gets a lot from the abyss (though his electro delusion also plays a big role in this)*
But more importantly, the narwhal, which is deeply associated with the abyss and the primordial sea, deals hydro damage on the surface, but when fighting it's abyssal core deals electro (it also summons vishaps which could relate it to dragons**).

In physics there’s this theoretical phenomenon that’s called three body problem, which actually means that when there is three objects of similar size and shape that are orbit around a planet - it creates a very unusual and unpredictable trajectory of movement, which also theoretically can cause all sort of the disasters and chaos on the planet that they re orbiting…
Idk why I’m bringing this up, just got me thinking so to speak.

I'll laugh so hard if Hoyo throws all this away and simply introduces "Primordial Lightning" or something for another element.
But Neuvillette laying eggs is interesting, also cryo is crying in the cryornder
Primordial Lighting will probably be quantum I imagine
I believe the end of the Teyvat storyline will introduce Honkai, as like publicly known. And in a sense, Honkai is forbidden knowledge, and the two elements in Honkai Impact that tend to combat it the best are Quantum and Light. We've seen the Traveler use Light element in the beginning of the game; void is clearly Quantum, but we haven't seen it harnessed by anyone besides Abyssal creatures.
@@alexfirth21 skirk and the abyss twin
I know that it's not 100% for all of it and it would probably take some time to figure out and list, but I think it's a really interesting idea.
wow you really pickled with this one ashi 🥒🥒🥒🥒
i havent finished the video yet, but the segment about the abyss learning and mimicking what it sees reminded me of something. all the khaenriahn tech we see are described as mimetic beings, and they are - all are based on living beings that exist already (crabs, jellyfish, eels or snakes, even dragons [the drakes]). you could say that the ruin graders and guards are based on humans (since they're clearly inspired by talos, the automaton). humans observe and mimic to create and survive, it's the basis of *evolving* from older systems. however, like the abyss, humans arent exactly capable of original thought... everything we create can be ultimately traced back to things that exist in nature already. and this makes me wonder if the abyss could, somehow, become a real sentient being capable of moving around. is this what vedrfolnir is? we see him hanging around the abyss like he owns it, he's even called The Sinner, singular, despite there being five of them (ironically, rhinedottir is called GREAT sinner but not given the same grand entrance as him). but i'm thinking the abyss isn't an *individual* per se, but like the sea of consciousness, a unified mass of intelligence. a hive mind. could it be possible? a sentient, learning, perceptive and active hive mind. of what? souls, i don't know. but given how it behaves, this is what it makes me think.
I appreciate the implication that canonically you could absolutely get Neuvillette pregnant if you tried hard enough. That's not the intention of the video at all, but it is a fun one to push as possibly canon in the notes of a fanfiction.
It’s time for another full course meal ladies and gentlemen by our favorite chef Ashikai.
I am personnally starting to think that Irminsul may be for Apep what the primordial sea was to Neuvillette.
Nobody:
Ashikai: Neuvillette "water"
So what you’re saying is that:
From light comes form, projected onto the world by flame (pyro), crystallizing into substance (geo) and unbound, granted the freedom to change, to grow, to adapt (anemo)
Meanwhile thought enters the world from the abyss, projected by the flickering shine of lightning (electro), allowed to flow like water (hydro) and finally allowed to crystallize and become action (cryo)
At last, form and thought come together to create being, life, and wisdom (dendro)
There's also the theory that Paimon is the reincarnation, or the shell of the being who was once the Goddess of Time..... And Paimon in Ars Goetia is said to be most loyal to Lucifer, the Lightbringer.......

ley line outcrops color scheme supports the theory that irminsul filters both energies. blue gives the "desire for battle" (chaos?) through experience (memories?), and yellow gives the "desire for treasure" (enlightenment?) through mora (catalyst that brings physical transformation?)
I can't help but notice the Parallels between the pairing of Phlogiston with the Primordial Sea,
And the Pairing between the Imaginary Tree with the Sea of Quanta
Which just so happens to be the center of Hoyoverse' multiverse- which Genshin was confirmed to be a part of from pretty much day 1
Another Ashikai video!!!! Let's goooooo! ❤❤❤
For those wondering what the point of cryo is well its very very tightly knit between hydro and dendro but it still works. Cryo takes the place of what geo does. Geo seals away the energy of phlogistion in a solid crystal form and while cryo can tech ically do the same thing for water it mainly seals away the will from acting upon the world via slowing it down and freezing it.

bro your videos are derailing my entire life.

But the "Human" part is the only thing to contradict your Theory to make it less viable. Since Narayana is stated to be the "Primordial Human"

For everyone who's watching
Ashikai is going to make me believe teyvat is a cereal bowl with two sides flipped on each other to reflect themselves against each other
Here we go
I think it makes sense that visible light divides into the elements when refracted.
---------------------------------
Btw, one teeny tiny little thing - I'd argue that Sa is a more recent example of the cosmic horror thingy than the Cocoon of Finality, at the very least in the way it was set up, even if her story only lasted a few chapters before Vita seized her Authority.
Ashikai, you've forever changed how I read Wriollette fanfics....
