Hi Matt. Great video with beautiful views of the course 👌👍. You showed how to be positive and have good attitudes even when you are not playing well and i love it cos too many times, i saw guys i played with started throwing clubs or swearing left and right and that could affect other players game. Sometimes i had to ask them to cool down or leave if he was going to ruin other players fun day. We are not playing on PGA tour and dont make millions, so just try your best, have fun, and enjoy the sceneries on that day 😃. Thanks for sharing and hopefully, your video here will help players who have attitude when not playing well to be considerate of their playing partners the next time they play 🙂👍👍👍
Glad to see that not everyone has perfect golfing days hitting 300 yds bombs straight down the fairway and every iron shot is perfect. Thank you for your help with our game and efforts on producing amazing content.
Bad day on course still beats a good day at work! Good video! Hey it's real golf, we appreciate that. Can't go out and set records every round. Stay safe guys. Love what you do brother.
It's nice to see that you show all your shots. Even the bad ones. It's a good lesson about attitude. Hope you make it out to Calgary Alberta sometime. We have some amazing courses here in the mountains. Would love to take a weekend and show you around
Mr SG - still great to see you out there with Coach. Even on your bad days, you're still playing well. Keep up the great content and I've seen some good golf on @Golfholics channel on your trip.
Pete is definitely the Mike Tyson of golf courses You’re not paying attention he will knock out punch you right in the face Excellent videos as always My the most favorite channel for instructional golf Thanks for your time an effort for putting together such quality
So much sand on this course...found the beach many times during my round there back in 2016. But I loved every minute of it, and got to play the round with my dad, so it was extra special. Plus, it was the first day the sheep were back on property for the season, and we got to see them, too!
Pete Dye passed away (I believe) but he designed the most difficult courses I’ve ever played. Now that you live north of Atlanta you should play Atlanta National that was designed by PD.
Great video. We have sheep on the golf courses on some of the Scottish islands but normally have a wee wire fence round the greens. Courses are normally links courses built on the machair. P
Matt, that happens to all golfers on some days. I've been playing golf for 65 years and if I start going right I start aiming left the amount it goes right that day and it works for me. I know you will figure it out.
That hurts, but right on with the attitude- stay positive or it’ll likely get even worse. I got beat up on my first links course a few weeks ago. Windy, lots of blind shots from rolling hills, and very hard unreceptive greens.
Matt, that's not so bad considering those are tough courses in the "Whistling Straits" family. I live in Michigan across the Lake and there are many beautiful courses like that here on the West coast of Lake Michigan. If you guys get the chance definitely play some of these top 100 in the USA and the world in some cases , golf courses.
The scenery was Beautiful. A lot of 🏌🏿 to the Right, can't wait to see your video on 🏌🏿 adjustments 101. I see you like the Beach Living also. That's what we call it when the ball goes in the Sand. 😁 See you on the next Video. 👍🏿👍🏿
Hey Matt, tough day for sure, but you did pure that shot you took where you were talking about possible swing change, looks like you took a 3/4 backswing and slowed your tempo. I'm working on the same. Question: are those new Dechambeu shafts for the T200s working out for you or do you seem to be pushing more shots with them? Awesome vid Matt! Thx, Steve
Good video. Tough day on a tough course. Did you also get to The Bull at Pinehurst Farms while you were here in cheeseland? It's another lovely, but brutal course, not far from Kohler in Sheboygan Falls.
You ever play any sand greens? I would love to see a sand greens video there are no good ones on RUclips, and you’re the best YT golfer so it just makes sense
I saw this on Golfholics, and I was hoping your version of this would be coming soon. Tough day, but please don't hold it against us midwesterners. We'd still love to have you back.
Great video, do you have a game plan before you play, what type of score you want to shoot? If so, when you're not close to your score do you try to be more aggressive, to hit that score or just stick to the game plane and be patient? 🤔🤔⛳🏌️🏌️♂️🏌️♀️Thank
Some courses can be a humbling experience. Chambers Bay greens were brutal. Ask Denise Johnson😂. They have since redone all of their greens. Stay safe brother, luv ya.
That's actually not true...you have to walk the Straits. You can use carts on the Irish, as seen in this video. At the 7:55 mark, you can see they are using carts, as there's one right next to them when they're on the tee. I've also played the Irish and used a cart during my round.
Matt, just looking at my bag and recently played a few longer courses again where you need that longer iron. What is the loft you use on your 4-iron that you carry? Thanks - and great video
Its not a game of inches but centimeters..We are all human and golf is golf.....Having said that, i get a lot of practice at smiling and acting like it doesn't bother me...I don't like ruining someones round ,that is actually playing well. I think that was a great tip you gave.
Hello. Love your channel! What do you think of my very old irons, Wilson Staff RM midsize with stiff fat-shaft? Do they keep up with todays modern players CB irons or should i change? (hcp 5)
Pete Dye, while being a genius, was a downright sadist. God rest his soul. That bunker on 16 at PGA West Stadium comes to mind right away haha. Still love to play them though.
Matt you gave me great advice about change my driver so I did workout great... I was thinking about change my steel M2 iron to graphite shaft I’m 58 years old first front nine I’m good but starting back nine I feel my club is getting heavier what graphite shaft would you recommend or even worth to change cause it’s cheat club!
I play out of Atlanta National at Pete dye designs it. I saw you there last week. Are you a Member there now? That would be so cool if you were and would love to meet you
Looks like a day when I tried new irons or new driver with no practice. Sorry about the bad day, just remember it could take a low score off your index.
Lets put this into perspective. Your HCP Differential was approximately 5.8 for the day. Your Course HCP was approximately 6. It was cold, windy, October in Wisconsin, and first time you saw this course. I have played this course many times. Give yourself a break. Most would be bragging about how great they played.
I hit the like button but it didn’t readily light up. I had to hit the like button for a second time. I guess we can call it a COVID like. Chase your love with your dreams and the ball will find the cup(hole) more frequently. Be Great Be Good and be Lucky. PS I bet you don’t have a name for your driver. If you did then you probably couldn’t cut it open.
it shows more in Golfholic's video how to handle yourself when it's not going your way and ruin everyone's day....you seem to be holding on and not releasing the club. That face was being open and with your your over the line swing it's going go right, right right. I wonder how the wind was adding to club doubt or just pushing your body around on each shot. Add in a frustrating putting day and kudos to you for not club throwing, stomping, sulking, etc...
Nothing worse than being slaughtered on the course and not being able to do anything about it. Played trump International Aberdeen and had the same experience
I commented this on your first tee nerves video...Whistling STRAITS... After you play the course a couple times, you should know how to spell its name. I really didn’t want to be that guy...
i still havent figured out why players who cant break 80 from the white tees wanna play these courses all the way back . they are just punishing themselves and hold up play to any group behind them . i mean its none of my business, play where you want, but i better not be playing behind you waiting on someone to find their tee shot on every hole .
Love to see my Irish course getting some love I work golf course maintenance for the Irish course and love watching people play it.
Hi Matt. Great video with beautiful views of the course 👌👍. I really enjoy the style of your videos! You don’t drag out the entire round, etc. Very easy to watch
Great video, comforting that even good golfers have a not so great day on the course, although any day on the course is a great day.
I love Matt's attitude. Very positive!
I can't wait to play this on the morning! Thanks for the footage man!
Best video I’ve seen. Made this channel more of a human factor when trying to do your best on a bad round.
Way to grind bro, and WE took a beating out their😂💯
It's nice to see that you show all your shots. Even the bad ones. It's a good lesson about attitude. Hope you make it out to Calgary Alberta sometime. We have some amazing courses here in the mountains. Would love to take a weekend and show you around

Your positive attitude and advice on the issue is inspiring. Thanks for the video Looks like an awesome course with lots of length and difficulties.
Monica was really with you that day. I'm glad she took a day with you and left me alone! LOL!
So much sand on this course...found the beach many times during my round there back in 2016. But I loved every minute of it, and got to play the round with my dad, so it was extra special. Plus, it was the first day the sheep were back on property for the season, and we got to see them, too!
Great video Matt. Keep them rolling
Loving this new format of videos. I think you are on a winner here !!!

Great looking course, take heart buddy - I’d love 83 on a tough day
That hurts, but right on with the attitude- stay positive or it’ll likely get even worse. I got beat up on my first links course a few weeks ago. Windy, lots of blind shots from rolling hills, and very hard unreceptive greens.

I always say a bad day golfing is a better than a good day at work
Hilarious, your commentary could be mine when I have a day like this, I mean almost exactly!
That course looked brutal, not an even lie anywhere on that thing!
Hey Matt, tough day for sure, but you did pure that shot you took where you were talking about possible swing change, looks like you took a 3/4 backswing and slowed your tempo. I'm working on the same.

Have used hybrid for every shot on a bad day, to finish off a round. Usually last couple of holes. Not good when you pull it out after 3.
Some courses can be a humbling experience. Chambers Bay greens were brutal. Ask Denise Johnson😂. They have since redone all of their greens. Stay safe brother, luv ya.
There is another group of Pete Dye courses in Indiana just down from where you are now. French lick and Indianapolis.
Hey Mr. SG, do you play regularly at WCCC in Milton? Beautiful Course...Fazio?
New swing coming?
I was waiting for this one. People don't realize that the Irish Course is tougher than the Straits course. And you HAVE TO walk it.
That's actually not true...you have to walk the Straits. You can use carts on the Irish, as seen in this video. At the 7:55 mark, you can see they are using carts, as there's one right next to them when they're on the tee. I've also played the Irish and used a cart during my round.
The more shots you take the more value you get ?
I get extremely good value wherever I play 😆.
New Subscriber thoroughly enjoyed your video today. Keep up the good work.
Matt, just looking at my bag and recently played a few longer courses again where you need that longer iron. What is the loft you use on your 4-iron that you carry? Thanks - and great video

todays modern players CB irons or should i change? (hcp 5)
I'm glad you showed everybody is human.
I suggest you review the Robert Trent Jones courses in Alabama now that you live in Georgia.
Feel ya! Funny how this game can flip on you some days.
That course looks unreal and very hard. From the tips there I would be lucky to shoot 100, and would probably need a dozen balls.
Pete Dye, while being a genius, was a downright sadist. God rest his soul. That bunker on 16 at PGA West Stadium comes to mind right away haha. Still love to play them though.
What driver loft do you use? I currently use 10 degrees but am thinking about going down to 9.
I mean cheap club
That's what we call playing the WHOLE course.
If you want more sand work, head about 2 hours west and hit up Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes !!!
I play out of Atlanta National at Pete dye designs it. I saw you there last week. Are you a Member there now? That would be so cool if you were and would love to meet you
What happened to the mallet putter you were using?
Nothing like your game being just a hair off and the wind seems to be into you every hole. It makes it tough to keep that smile going.
Do you know why those sheep wear bells?
Because their horns don't work. lololololol
I believe the difficulty is a 76 from the blacks..so 83 isn’t that bad at all for playing a grind out type game this was
Looks to me like you played Pete's course right.
Did playing with the director get in your head a bit? Looking at all your adventures it was good there was no sign of snakes!
Looks like a day when I tried new irons or new driver with no practice. Sorry about the bad day, just remember it could take a low score off your index.
This is exactly what my rounds look like (on a good day).
I've walked that course 100 times and never have seen some of those areas on the back 9.
Hole 9 par 4, 484 yards (7:45). After tee shot, you have 120 yards left? Wow, or really? That is a monster drive.
83. 7200yds. I wish I had that game.
Buckle up! Ha! I tell myself that every round....
Good Morning
Ouch... well, if it makes you feel any better, me knowing you can shoot an 83 makes me feel a lot better about mine.
Best Shot Tracer?
I hit the like button but it didn’t readily light up. I had to hit the like button for a second time. I guess we can call it a COVID like. i always say..well not always because I say other things too 😜. But if you paid full price you might as well see all of the course.
it happens
I was thinking how bad can a course be to take down a pro. Then I see the tee box on the first hole.
half links half parkland?!!
it shows more in Golfholic's video how to handle yourself when it's not going your way and ruin everyone's day....you seem to be holding on and not releasing the club. They let sheep on the course? First class course.
Might be blocking right and not aiming right.
I take a beating like that any day!!
Nothing worse than being slaughtered on the course and not being able to do anything about it. Played trump International Aberdeen and had the same experience
course record was in danger if you aimed 30 yards left on every shot
You must be overlapping you're driver swing with your iron swing that's why you're pushing on your drives
👍🏼👍🏼
This is the strangest golf video that I've ever seen. We never even see the green until you're putting.
Score on hole 8...??? 😏
"Places that people never see" - c'mon out to Pumpkin Ridge in Oregon and I'll show you my Audobon Society Card.
I commented this on your first tee nerves video...Whistling STRAITS...
After you play the course a couple times, you should know how to spell its name.
I really didn’t want to be that guy...
Then why were you?
@@billbroome8601 well he finally fixed the title and thumbnail

One ugly course. Golf course cut out of wasteland.
